    Thank you for the video. I tried to install mine but had air leaking from the atmosphere release hole; uninstalled after that but after watching your video I will try again and this time I will leave the back regulator gauge in place. I didn’t think to try that way when I tried the first install.

    • @Airbuks

      If you have a leak from the atmosphere hole I am afraid you have a regulator oring failing 😬

      I tried to reinstall the kit yesterday but it failed and the M3 is headed back to FX for repair. I installed the manometer and got a reg pressure reading at the new gauge but didn’t get a reading at the third gauge. No air was getting to the plenum; uninstalled and then the leak was worse but the gauge in the rear was reading.
      Regardless, at this point I am sending it back today for FX to get this sorted out; second time I’ve sent it back for leak’s but that’s part of ownership. At least FX is awesome with taking care of their issues with leak’s and what not…

      Airbuk is right. It sounds like the problem is with the o ring in the reg. Could of easily take the reg out, clean and inspect the o ring and replace of damage. Save money and time shipping it back for a simple fix.

    • @tonyhowell5283
      @tonyhowell5283 2 года назад

      this is the easiest fix - some rifles chew on that Reg Piston Oring - last night I wrecked 2 on my mates impact but mine has never gone - all you need to do is replace NBR 70 4X1.5 Oring on your regulator piston. its the only oring in the rifle that moves back and forth when the reg opens and closes - so I guess it will wear out eventually, - dead easy to do 30 mins max

    Fx needs to have this guage mod directly from the factory. The underside 2nd reg is in a terrible area. "Finger tight?!" I would not finger tighten a guage with 150 bar pointing at my face. I had to tighten my guage with an adjustable wide-jaw wrench to stop it leaking. Hand tightened with all my strength and it still leaked.If you notice the other guages, they are basically seated all the way in. Remove the plastic guage housing cover and you all will see a surprise.

    • @johnrambo1349
      @johnrambo1349 2 года назад

      Finger tight is good enough. The o ring is what seals it. I'm guessing you are talking about other pcp cause fx impact do not need to be tighten to stop leaks. Other pcp doesn't use a o ring, they are seal with thread tape and tighten with a wrench.

      @UCSJDM7QcXDycoDDl1D0mgSw You think what you think and do what you wish. I won't describe to you about threads as it's a technical spec. Anyway, if you Torque down a gauge you have a few issues. One, busted oring, they are made to squish a bit not flatten. Two, stripped threads, as these guns are aluminum and take it from me, if you strip a thread, it's a very bad day. Three, the gauge has no nut to tighten. So how exactly did you bottom them out? If you're going to tell me you gripped the gauge and twisted somehow, that's a great way to damage the gauge. So, up to you friendo.
