- Montreal has been named the WORLD’S BEST STUDENT CITY in a new ranking out February 15, 2017, from #QS, becoming the first city to take Paris’s first-place slot since the inaugural ranking. The ranking is based on university rankings, affordability, student mix, desirability, and employer activity. #QSBestCities

If you are a foreign student applicant reading this, the one thing they don't tell you about is how incredibly freezing cold and snowy Montreal is for six months of the year. And the brief window of nice weather they get is when the school is closed. Good party school if you don't freeze to death.
stephen fein Let's be fair here. It's cold and snowing from mid-December to mid-March.
Michel Beauregard I'm afraid of cold
I want to go to MiGill, and I'm used to that weather because I currently live on Vermont. So I really hope to go.

How many can speak french?
A lot
Among the students and profs? Very few and few. It's an English institution historically and still is.
@@Nonpeasant . But in a province where french is the only official language. English privilege attitude , so rude to the locals !
@@christofat2704 Not really. First, it's common for globally important universities to teach in English regardless of the surrounding language. ETH Zurich, Bocconi, CEU, Uni of Amsterdam, etc. Second, it's a historically English institution, so forcing it to switch to French is weird, violent, and rude.
@@Nonpeasant . But still rude not to speak french when you live in Quebec . In Rome do as Romans !That is why I refuse to speak english in Quebec .
Montreal is the best big city in Canada.
toronto is
@@frankihatch Lol, sorry for taking so long to reply, but your joke has had me laughing until now. Good one liner. Toronto is a large open sewer now. Thanks for playing along.
MrAlsfan5 Montreal is trash bud thats why not many people wanna live there
MrAlsfan5 no one cares about Montreal get over it its boring
hey can you give me an email of one prof of the petroleum department please?
It is doubtful this item will be mentioned on CBC's "The National" aka The GTA Evening News. This CBC has, de facto, already deemed Montreal and Quebec separated from the ROC.Expect nothing "newsworthy" from Quebec from that lot.
Alright! I agree 100% with you. CBC constantly belttles Montreal in particular and Quebec in general. They constantly promote Toronto in the meantime.
#1.00 min she looks like messis sister
Oh yeah with that painful tuition fee!!! And no future after getting a PHD!
