So I left my 5000 3S in my truck plugged in for like a week, so now what I have ladies and gentlemen is a 4.01v $85 paperweight, nice. Lesson learned.
You can actually plug it into a battery tender for about 2 min then plug back into your RC charger and bam! Just runs them to low for your regular charger to pick up the identification of battery. Don't throw that paper weight away! It's still good!
Remove the cover and you can use non I'd batteries. There is an balance port under the blue cap

If you have a lipid battery with 2 or more cells you MUST use balance charging, read your traxxas manual as well!

If your battery doesn’t light up try charging it with a battery tender or a battery charger on the lowest setting for a couple of seconds threw my lipo back on it the blue light blinked showing that it detected the battery and is now charging
how long does it take to charge 25c 7.4v I'd battery 2 cell on ez peak .plus .I'd charger please
I dont know exactly, depends on how low the battery is on charge.

Dude, thank you so much for this video, I was somehow unaware that the Balance mode was only literally to balance the volts between the cells, so i had been using it to charge it and, never actually fully charged the battery, so that explains the lack of speed..... thanks for the video again, you likely saved my battery
A balance charge is fully charging, just in a way that takes longer because of the balancing, but it will make your battery last longer
How do we know when the battary is fully charged ?

I got a question for you. So I balance charged my new battery took it out and used it about 30-45 minutes. Do I balance charge it and then put it in storage mode? Or does storage mode balance the battery?
I was told that balance charge should be done approximetly every 10 charges. I would think that storage charge is good enough for putting the battery away. In my opinion balance charge should be done before charging the battery and using it. Also I hear that its not good to leave a fully charged battery fully charged for roughly more than 3 days because its not healthy for the battery either. How long does it take for the batteries to be completed on storage mode?
I dont know mate you just let it do its thing. It stops charging automatically.

@@DronemanJoeRc either I have gone crazy or you did not understand the question yourself mate. Our friend here wrote "How long does it take for the batteries to be COMPLETED on storage mode?" Not how to storage the battery. Besides if he had asked me that question he did not either pay attention in the video or did not watch the video fully. Thanks
all my lights are staying on when pluged into the wall then when i plug in battery it stays the same and no buttons work?

My blue ID light doesn't even turn on. Holding the button down doesn't do anything. Does that mean batteries are completely dead?
I can not say if they are bad. Make sure you dont have a loose connection with the charger, no damaged wires and confirm voltage somehow.
@@combarccrawlers3948 Thank you. So I figured out the issue. The batteries haven't been used the whole winter and they're completely depleted. I had to "trickle" charge them to put some power in them for the big charger to recognize them. All good now

Question so I put my batteries on storage mode will I have recharge them again when I decide to use them again
If you are not going to use them for long you can probably get away without charging but, for long trails, best to charge.

You might need to contact traxxas for this problem. Sounds like the charger is not recognising the battery. Either of the 2 may be faulty
Can i charge that battery using the wall charger instead of the EZ Peak
I do not know exactly which wall charger you are referring to but if you have a traxxas battery like this, preferibly the EZ Peak is recomended.

I typically do not like to fast charge unless I really need to. Ive been told its best to normal charge the battery.
How can i discharge my traxxas battery????
Hi friend, honestly I can not find how to discharge a battery with this charger, I have a cheaper and better charger than this, which is more professional and can charge many types of batteries. This charger is not meant for advanced use I am guessing. Simple tech. I cant find how to discharge a battery, best option is to opt for one of these:

Listen I asked a group of friends and it is true you can not discharge a battery with the traxxas charger, but they say that it is ok to just storage charge it. I want to aware you tough that if you are discharging a battery that is because you are disposing it right? Process is done for the environment I heard. The fact that the green led with a full battery logo next to it remains flashing while charging is pointless. It just makes it look like the charger is trying to alert you that the battery is fully charged.

Hmmm well sorry mate I do not know what else to say. I recomend making contact with fb groups related to traxxas products and ask there. You will get help there surely. Thanks. Also I recomend you video the problem for them, the people answer you faster by seing a problem visually👍
Charger is completely garbage..plugged it in the other day and won’t turn on..only a couple months old
My charger charges for like 5 seconds then turns off
Either you have a faulty charger/connection or there is something wrong with the battery that is triggering the charger to shut off for safety purposes. If you are running aftermarket batteries via the hidden port that could be an issue. This is strange never heard of it doing this. Thanks for your comment hope I helped in any way👍
The best way to use this charger is to start with your foot on it. Then stomp repeatedly and throw in trash. These are garbage

Na man, please don’t make anymore videos!! You don’t have the experience or even all the equipment for the video. Also that charger, does charge the older batteries. The ports are behind that blue door on the lower front left of charger. No more videos, your obviously to new at this and giving out false information!!

@@chriskilled16women Nice to hear that, I personally hate this charger because it is expensive and does not offer many charging modes, however it is beginner friendly. This video was a kinda quickie for the original owner and other people who look into using this combo. I never said I am a pro or something infact I even linked a better video for who may be running nimh. Thanks bud.

@@chriskilled16women I own a bunch, but the main thing is that I do not use this expensive combo, I use different brand lipo batteties personally I have the zop power lipos and I have a lipro charger. It has multiple charging programs and modes. I love using it. I own a trx 6 and 4, FTX Kanyon and Outback and 2 Axial SCX10s and a bunch of others
