I don't know, but... Something could be stuck. Every moving part should have some slack and should move easily if disconnected from a motor. Weird sounds usually come from gears.
I did all the steps in order and yet all it did was scan it once and signal an up arrow and when I took it out, it started spinning the cradle and never stopped. Can you help me?
I have just checked David's site. There is a new version of the code and one of the changes mentioned in README.txt is "re-structure code into a single file".

A valid cube setup was not found after 3 tries. Try different lighting. Check that the scanning arm is not too loose or too tight. You could try taking a video (slo-mo if possible) and check that the scanner movement is in sync with the cube movement. Good luck! Pls, share what worked for you.
It means the program hasn't found a valid cube configuration and gave up after three tries. Typically, it indicates a scanning problem. Try under different light, or more light, for start. You could try filming (ideally slo-mo) the scanning head to see if it is at the right square. Check if the cables are lose enough. Good luck and let us know what worked.
@@mladend thank you alot for your creative project. I finished it the problem was color sensor and it's wire and fixed it. Waiting for your next project.

The program is the same as it runs on the controller and, once it is transferred, it runs without computer connection. The installation steps should be similar, but we have done it only on a PC. If you make it, please let us know in the comments.

should i turn it back on?
Hmm, it worked but after switching off and on it only worked once more, the next time is was started up the program would not run. Any ideas??
