Using VR To Experience New Roller Coasters During Otronicon At The Orlando Science Center Museum!

- In today's vlog we head to the Orlando Science Center museum to check out Otronicon 2018! We were able to experience new technologies for video games, military tech and music production. Disney was represented there as well. They brought a display that allowed you to ride the all new Slinky Dog coaster virtually and it was actually really awesome! We know exactly what to expect when the new ride opens! We were there on a Science Night Live night so it was 21+ but on a normal event day the event is all ages. The medical stuff is awesome. I saw a new unit last fall that will do automatic CPR for EMTs while they work on a patients injuries.
Your tiny little downtown is a beacon to me. A beacon that im ALMOST there to my home at WDW. Im up north in Jacksonville and as soon as I see the Orlando Skyline I start to get hype. (And I love reading the side of the Amway to see what concerts are coming up)

We have one of those Davinci machines at one of our Hospitals here in Maine. I got to see it when I was doing my RN clinicals!! It's really amazing that you can have surgery aided by a robot!!

I think it would be really cool if they made a mini monorail going around that place and had cameras attached to it, so you could become a "passenger" through a VR headset.
I'm a nurse and have seen surgeries done with the DaVinci. I even got to try it out on a pig at our research center. Very cool

I love First Robotics it was the best 4 years of high school and the team I was in was Team 2918 Gearheads.I made so many amazing friends from around the US and went to some amazing states for competition.If you wants some more info on it I can tell u.

Have a Samsung Gear VR. It's pretty incredible what it can do. Some of the things at this convention like the VR rollercoasters, VR karaoke, VR surgery etc are on the Gear VR already. I guess I don't understand why it was presented as a new or innovative thing at this convention when you can already have it at home for under $200?

This technology would be great for young kids who are afraid of going on big rides. They can try a VR version to see if they like it and if they get scared all they have to do is take off the glasses.

It doesn't really seem to me like they live extravagantly or anything. I dont live in Florida, but I do try to go out and experience things in my area often like this.. Are things like this expensive to attend in Florida?
No, I don't think life is too expensive... Outside of Disney/theme park living... And I bet they get some hookups from time to time for promoting certain things... Good on them. I think my jealousy is just showing... I worked for Disney for 2.5 years but no where near a park...
RN MSP31 Florida is one of the cheapest states to live in so if RUclips is your main source of income you should be fine
They have said in a previous video that Tim works with children, so they will absolutely not be sharing anything related to that part of their lives. I'm just glad for what they choose to share with us, and take us along for the ride :)
