Pretty sure I saw old film of Brushy "Ball Hog" Roberts playing for some scrappy Texas basketball team against the Harlem Globetrotters back in the 30s or 40s. (Hey, he did everything else imaginable in his career so, with those hands, why not basketball?) He kept palming the ball and holding it above his head as a stalling tactic. Given the Globetrotters averaged about a foot taller than Brushy, this tactic proved as futile as a Dan Edwards attempt to justify a stroke diagnosis.
Sometimes I feel guilty about bullying DoBetterDan. Then I realize he's messing with a national treasure and an important part of our history because he can't see from behind his own deflated wallet. Do better, Dan. No one man owns our history.
