I mean, it’s pretty realistic. He’d be stressed and probably dislike, no, HATE, being king due to what it truly holds and the image he’d have to uphold and keep, for arendelle to prosper properly. He’d have to change, not be himself, if anything, he’d have to be the opposite of how he really is in certain situations or circumstances as he’s king which holds a lot of pressure and the need of keeping up images and power. It wouldn’t be good or fit someone with Kristoffs personality/nature.
Well, nobody told him to fall in love with a princess....AND tried to engage her. What was he thinking? That he'd just sit on the couch all day as a trophy husband?
@@norahoghroro1704That was kinda the point, he wouldn’t have wanted that. As non royalty with little to no education, king consort is all he would be. King consort is another name for trophy husband. It makes complete sense given his background. Ive never been a ruler of a kingdom but ive been a nobody whose been unwillingly thrusted into a position of being a highly regarded somebody and its absolutely terrifying if you are not prepared
But Kristoff's whole sub plot was gathering the courage to propose to Anna. I feel like if this scene was included not only would it completely change the sub plot but it sounds like it would be a big enough conflict that it would completely distract from the main plot of the movie. Just my thoughts though.
This was actually part of the original storyline where he proposes at the beginning of the film but struggles with thinking he’s a good enough lord in arendellian high society and worries he won’t be a good king. This is also part of the same original plot that would’ve had arendelle destroyed and rebuilt in both arendellian and the people of the forest (I forget their name) styles.
This would have given Kristoff's character a lot more meaning in the second movie (close to his significance in the first film). It would have helped promote the fact that men/boys are allowed to voice their fears and concerns as well. In my opinion they did him dirty. They may have just cut him from the entire second movie. Since he's not of royal blood therefore not royalty the best he could do is probably a royal consort or the queen's consort. Bottom line, he's probably not gonna be a king but a consort.
Although this would be kinda(very) cool to see, I think all Disney movies are mostly targeted for a younger audience. That doesn’t mean older people can’t watch them though! The horse attempting drowning Kristof and all that emotional build up might be a bit too much for children. Stay safe everyone.
Didn’t he only propose to Anna at the _end_ of the movie? It would’ve been real cocky of him to say he doesn’t want to be king _before_ even proposing to her and having her say yes.
If Arendelle is like most monarchies, he would never become king, or not have the title anyway. He would have duty’s, yes, but he would never officially be king, even if people consider him to be. In a typical monarchy, like Great Britain, the crown gets passed around based on the royal blood. So if a king or queen dies, the new ruler is normally the oldest child. That's why Elsa becomes Queen. Her parents died, So when she's of age, she ascends to the throne; she's now the oldest blood relative. Although many people consider every King to have a queen and vice versa, that's not usually the way it works. The one who possesses the royal blood is called the monarch; that's the one who's in charge. Their partner then is known as their royal consort and are in no way in line for the throne. For example, the British line of succession. Phillip wasn’t even in the top 50 when it came to waiting in line for the throne. Neither Hans (who wanted to be king) or Kristoff would ever get the title of king. Just like a deck of cards, the royal consort can't have a title that beats the actual monarch. The monarch is the higher title. So I don’t even know if Kristoff would get a title or what his would be. But I do know that had Hans married Anna, he would always have to remain Prince Hans: royal consort to Queen Anna. Better than just being a prince and 13th in-line? Yes. But still not the king. It's actually the same thing Britain, and a lot of monarchy’s do. When Queen Elizabeth was the reigning monarch, her husband Prince Philip would always be just that. Prince. And which Charles being king and Camilla being the queen consort. (Although most people just call her queen) So you see, the crown would go to literally anyone with a drop of blood related to these two and Hans has zero Arenedellian blood, and Kristoff, unless there’s a plot twist where he is a royals long lost son, neither of them would be king. A Prince or a similar title? Yes. King? No.
I never agreed with the idea of Anna being queen in the first place. No matter how hard I try, I just can't imagine her in a throne upholding royal duties.
That actually makes big sense. It would represent his character much better than the bullshit they ended up doin with his personality in the second movie
Honestly, many of these deleted scenes are better than the actual movie itself. I heard, they changed the script a lot to make it more kids - friendly, and it is just sad, because kids didn't even like Frozen 2 that much at the end and fans like me were disappointed in the sequel too
Reading about the behind the scenes, seeing the deleted storyboards/animates, and watching that making of Frozen 2 documentary on Disney+ there was many changes to the story and how it was originally going to play out that was scrapped for the final movie version we saw (this is common in books, comics, movies, and TV creations though I'm always fascinated by the "what uf/what was" in story making). Frozen (1st movie of the franchise) had changes to it's story TONS of times till the final version we saw. Some of the ideas they had for Frozen 2 that was ultimately scrapped was that Kristoff was going to propose early in the movie (and even had a full song made for that part). However the situations of the royal customs, culture, thier jobs, and overall aspects beyond Anna's and Kristoff's control would become factors that despite the two loving each other truly the wedding was going to be called off by the end. Other factors I read that was going to happen was all was going to literally die in the film and not be resurrected (that scene where the wind spirit takes essentially Olaf's ashes / snow and then drop the flower petals is equivalent to throwing flowers on a grave), Allendale was truly going to be destroyed, and the fate of Elsa unknown but possibly also gone. Anna would become Queen, will have to unite the two peoples (fighting also negative false propaganda/history that was believed by Arendelle) together, and have to build from scratch a new kingdom alone. Anne would be at her most painful and companionless yet for others be a wise ruler & builder. These ideas however was cut and I can see or image why even though I find them fascinating to think about. The creators knew many that watched as kids Frozen 1 was getting older and possibly wanted to make darker/deeper/mature themes/storylines in turn. Now with Frozen 3 (and maybe 4 based on recent news indicating possible a two parter like Across the Spider-Verse was) it's possible some past ideas could be making a return amoung other many possibilities that could happen.
Yes. For to romantic leads to be vulnerable with eachother in a disney film is incredibly rare. I would love to see a plot point where the love interest admits to something that could damage their relationship.
Not gonna lie it would totally makes sense of his character Because from him jumping from an ice delivery boy to a king/Prince consort is a huge Responsibility and he probably doesn’t even know all that stuff Because he not a Royal Like Anna is it wouldn’t really fit his character especially the stuff that he have to do Because royalty is not a joke They should have kept that idea
Honestly, it makes a lot of sense. He was raised by trolls his whole life and was really only known for collecting and delivering ice. It would’ve been disappointing but at the same time made the movie a lot better
I think they wanted to focus on the proposal so they cut it. On one hand I feel like putting that in would distract from the whole proposal situation, but I also feel like it’s what would fit his character. Maybe they can just add that in Frozen 3 or some spinoff where he’s already king and hates it. If can be revealed that he felt neutral about it and tolerated it because he liked Anna, but it was just really adding a lot of stress onto him
I would like for them to add this in frozen 3 Intead of frozen 2 cuz he wanted to marry Anna in the 2th movie but this seems cool! Wonder if they will ever add this tho 🧐it would also give deployment in their relationship and kistofs character and character re scrap for a queen for Anna
I think it should have been in the movie relationship are not easy and sometimes we don’t want the same things as our partner the key is we find a good middle ground where everyone is happy
I think they should have done this but Elsa was in kristoffs place it would have made more sense why it was easy for Elsa to leave her kingdom showing she loves her people but not her role still fearing that someone might still try to kill her for her magic
Yes but no, I love the ending we got and what really sucks is the one the deleted scenes they cut was where at the end of the movie or the sisters reunite, Elsa uses her powers to show Anna that their parents wanted Anna to take care of arrendelle because “she has a love that could hold up the world.”
It would've made sense if they had gone with the original idea, because originally kristoff was struggling to ask Anna to marry him because he wasn't sure if he could handle being a king or prince but they scrapped the idea in the end
I mean, it definitely makes sense for his character, but it kind of doesn’t fit what his arch became, which was more about his fears in inadequacy and that Anna is going to forget about him. He remedies this in his song where he comes to the conclusion that he just needs to trust in her and her love for him, and be patient. Also, Anna doesn't find out she's going to be queen till the end of the movie, so this feels like more of a 3rd movie thing where now Kristoff is dealing with the strains of being King. But then again, he doesn't seem to be seen as the one in charge, so idk if he's going to have to do much apart from support Anna. Maybe it'll be about boundaries instead. Kristoff is all for supporting Anna, but the royal life is stiffling and he doesn't know how to handle things or talk about it. Then it ends with Kristoff and Anna finding proper work/life balance.
It makes sense. I mean, he’s not really royalty, ya know?

Ohhh maybe in the third they could explore this
Sounds like a scene they should be using for F3 tbh
Who doesn’t want to be a king…
That would be cool at least he says he don’t wanna be king but still would marry Anna 🤷🏻♀️
Would've been a great addition
