I like that you show how much time it really takes to make something. I have always wanted to be able to carve ever since i saw a cane my dad bought for his grandpop in Poland after ww2 top of the cane had bust of an old man handle sort of hatchet shaped with vine carved up the sides histrorical restoration is my job doors & windows.

Great video for hand carving! I have been doing relief carvings...(around 25 of them) for 2+ years and look forward to making carvings "in the round". I have a great selection of Pfeil and Flexcut knives and chisels to work with, riffler files and also a Mastercarver mini power carver. Thanks again!

Hello. Are you the same folks who make the carving knives in Ukraine? If you are, I want to tell you they are as sharp as anything I've ever used, even at 7 times the price. I use the roughing blade for nearly everything. Easy to keep sharp too. The bandages in the box say it all. Very good blades.

I just purchased your bird kit. It comes with a knife that doesn’t seem to be sharp enough (plus my unskilled hand) for the wood blocks provided. I am using xactos n your gouging knives like in this video that seem to work better than the knife alone does.
However, the knife works better with my other basswoods.
Thanks for the video. It shows the details that the bird kit video doesn’t.
I would appreciate if the steps were vocally articulated together with the video n not to lose hope (and fingers).
    Thanks again.

To respond : I am sorry I haven’t received the eBook.
I learned how to sharpen the knife from other channels n how to hold the knife
I wish the wooden block weren’t that thick especially for the novice folks like myself.
      Thanks for the email address.

Hi, My wife purchased one of your carving kits. It seems very hard going using the knife and sharpening strop provided. The wood only comes off in tiny flakes the size of nail clippings. The blade seems very sharp, but the wood provided is extremely tough.
Your booklet has several references to external links, but they are all QR codes. nothing written. We have no means of scanning QR codes, so we can't follow any of the links in the book.

    • @BeaverCraftTools

For wood carving - it's important to sharpen the knife every 5 minutes of work. Regarding QR codes - you can download any app that allows you to scan it. It's not difficult. But if you can't do it, write to us, and we'll help you!
