Hello. Are you the same folks who make the carving knives in Ukraine? If you are, I want to tell you they are as sharp as anything I've ever used, even at 7 times the price. I use the roughing blade for nearly everything. Easy to keep sharp too. The bandages in the box say it all. Very good blades.

I just purchased your bird kit. It comes with a knife that doesn’t seem to be sharp enough (plus my unskilled hand) for the wood blocks provided. I am using xactos n your gouging knives like in this video that seem to work better than the knife alone does. However, the knife works better with my other basswoods. Thanks for the video. It shows the details that the bird kit video doesn’t. I would appreciate if the steps were vocally articulated together with the video n not to lose hope (and fingers). Thanks again.

BeaverCraft Thank you for your kind response. To respond : I am sorry I haven’t received the eBook. I learned how to sharpen the knife from other channels n how to hold the knife I wish the wooden block weren’t that thick especially for the novice folks like myself. Thanks for the email address.
Do you think that it would be possible to make something similar with nothing more than a simple whittling knife? I don't have many materials, but this looks like a lovely pattern and I'd love to give it a try!
Can I paste the templates on a larger piece of wood, let’s say 3.5x3.5x15cm? Will that affect the ratio of the design or you just have to remove more excessive material?
Hi, My wife purchased one of your carving kits. It seems very hard going using the knife and sharpening strop provided. The wood only comes off in tiny flakes the size of nail clippings. The blade seems very sharp, but the wood provided is extremely tough. Your booklet has several references to external links, but they are all QR codes. nothing written. We have no means of scanning QR codes, so we can't follow any of the links in the book.
For wood carving - it's important to sharpen the knife every 5 minutes of work. Regarding QR codes - you can download any app that allows you to scan it. It's not difficult. But if you can't do it, write to us, and we'll help you!

Hi im in Australia iv never heared of Basswood can you name some other timbers i might use ,
Basswood is a good wood to carve as it's softwood. Nevertheless, you can use Pine, Cedar, Redwood, Douglas fir
Beautiful job !!!
Can I paste the templates on a larger piece of wood, let’s say 3.5x3.5x15cm? Will that affect the ratio of the design or you just have to remove more excessive material?
Of course you can stick it on a larger piece of wood - but you'll be cutting off a lot of wood.
You are using a 3x3 block for this correct?
Do you ever weight the bottoms of your figures so they are more stable? If so, what do you use? I’m considering lead anchors.
Thanks for your comment, Bob. No, we don't weigh down the bottoms of our figures
What kind of wood do you use? And where can I buy those tools?
