My favorite song off the album :,) I've listened to Bon Iver since I was 14, I'm almost 24 now and i'm so happy he's back. I saw him in Chicago earlier this month, a check off my bucket list :)
Just hearing them for the first time. WOW to the song Salem !!!! What other long playing songs do they have like this. Got to find this album name and others you suggest. Wow,,,,, WOW,,,, again . Thanks
@@keatoncurran this song is longer than the album, and most songs are around 4-5 mins. But the albums are wonderful to play and will take you on a journey. Start with for Emma, and work your way to the recent album. I hope this helps.
You’ve listened to them for 10 years and don’t address Bon iver as a band not a single person. Justin is a genius amongst a handful of other genius’s that make this band known as Bon iver.
Great to see Jen again to. was a massive fan of Wye Oak and was elated to see her join Bon Iver. So much talent in this band and my god do they know how to use it.
So that just happened... I didn't think I could like him more. Before I watched the video, I saw the "Jerry Garcia" like jam mentions in the comments and I thought, nah... not from JV. Then I'm watching and he starts. it's slow. it's cute. I'm like, nah, those youtuber comments are cute, but this isn't grateful dead like, Justin doesn't play like that. Then he gets going a bit, and I'm like, "ok... this is kinda like Jerry. I see it. An then it keeps going, and going. and my mouth just drops. What a jam! I have been listening to Justin for years and have never heard him play like that. And his face around 4:54, the man is in it - he's feeling it! Wow. Just wow. My hat is off to this band. I saw them at the Gorge this summer. Magical night. Bucket list kind of thing. Thank god there are people who still make music that touch my soul. I mean, are there many things as powerful in this world?
This comment made me smile so big! His guitar skills have really improved over the years…and that’s saying a lot cuz he’s always been able to play well! ❤ this last tour was amazing
@@MxStella I mean he's confirmed he's been on acid during a show before. One time at a show he asked a crowd to raise their hand if they were on acid, and nobody raised their hand, so then he raised his own.

I'm not feeling this jam band incarnation of Bon Iver. The previous album blew my mind but this one just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad that I seem to be in a very small minority though.
Listened to and loved everything JV touched since whenever. Also old enough to remember listening to and being bored rigid by guitar solos like this. Then punk came and it went away. Just a shame that it's being reintroduced in what's an excellent track on a great album. Hope he doesn't do it on the rest or my Dublin ticket is for sale.
As a huge Fan this was supposed to be the highlight of a year of great concerts. In my view unfortunately, they either have yet to fully figure out how to bring Bon Iver to such big stages or I am just to late for the experience that I am looking for, one that is as transcending as their Records. Maybe they should dig into the magic they have created at the Sydney Opera. But maybe it was just Barcleys Arena in particular. It just felt like a miss-match. Everyone just sitting on their chair, even on the floor section. (They ranks are so steep and narrow, standing up would be suicidal anyways).
I was on the floor and everyone was standing up by the 3rd or 4th song. It was amazing, energy was blazing and caught by the people around me; I had a rocking time. Can’t tell if you were there or not, but I think this video recording might be what’s not clicking and isn’t able to pass on the energy of the live performance and atmosphere.
I actually saw him on the short theatre tour he did right before he announced the album, and it was a totally different experience then what this arena tour seems to be. he had a smaller band, maybe 5 or 6 guys and they gave two sets, an hours length each, that basically represented all of the music he has made through Bon Iver perfectly. everyone just sat and watched, which i guess is more fitting since it was a theatre, and due to it technically still being the 22 a million era it seemed a little bit more intimate. kinda interesting how he can go to a whole entirely different vibe in the same year, but both tours seem cool so whatev
for emma was released in 2007. you are so stuck in the past it's sad. musicians grow. musicians change. they aren't your little puppets that play the same tired old songs until they die
Listen to For Emma - Bon Iver, Bon Iver - 22, a million and i,i - in this specific order for two or three times and you’ll get it. Do it, it is so worth it! If you know where the man came from, all the way to this perfomance, you would have had a big smile throughout the whole song.
Post the whole show, please!!!! BON IVER FOR LIFE !!!!!!!!!!!
Wishing this version was on the album, its pure melancholy and capturing.

Yes I love Jenn as well. I lived in Baltimore for about 20 years and have seen her with Andy as well as her Flock of Dimes project.
Man, I was at this show. It makes me miss pre-Covid days even more.
they're coming back soon!!
Love the jam, all the members are so into it the whole way through!!
Jen Wasner from Wye Oak is in tbd band. She’s playing either bass or guitar.

Saw them in Raleigh, the last date of their tour. Pure, authentic.

The sound is amazing! Perfectly mixed!
Very Jerry Garcia-type guitar jam solo, I love it!
Definitely channeling some Jerry on this one. Sounds great!
He has played with the Dead And Company (now the Grateful Dead with John Mayer in place of Jerry)
It's fun to watch Justin jam for awhile. I feel like he doesn't do that on his guitar a whole lot.
Kevin Glover the Jerry Garcia influence is undeniable. He should do this more often!
Why would you think that ?
Channeling his inner Jerry.
@@Theolddaysaregone ?? that whole solo is slick
Ancrown I can see how you might say that. Can you share the videos you think he sounds better in?
One of my favorites in the album.
Went to see Bon Iver live yesterday and feels like much better version of going to church without any Jesus word
saw him in Columbus and he was amazing was holding back tears
I couldn’t and cried. Twice.
Why hold them back?
I love the way Curly McThickchest rules those skins & symbols
1:05 when the acid peaks while you're playing a show in front of thousands
Defo looks like he's on acid here hahaha, but plays as good as sober. Impressive
Never mind dude, this song sounds like absolute crap on acid lol. Definitely a hash jam.. Tried it with 150ug yesterday

Such a pretty song and heart touching melody. This has also become one of my favorites off of the latest album. 💙

Nice Krautrock from Justin and guys. Like it.
That guitar at 1:34!
Please... I beg you. I will pay so much money for the entire live show. I don't care give me stems, Ill mix it myself. I NEED IT
Salem burns the leaves
Then she
Returns to cure and see
Heavy fate
After years of waiting
Cause abnormalities
Surely
Are everywhere you see
So what I think we need
Is elasticity, empowerment, and ease
So I won't lead no lie
With our hearts the only matter why
How long it's lasted
I've not received reciprocity
To speak supportively
Big guy
There's no automatic peace
But I bet you'd keep
All these in-betweens that bar my youth
There's no anorberic dream
Fars I know
I tried too hard to see
What I thought it'd be
Asking constantly
How's it gonna be?
So I'm gonna weep a while
You don't even know how hard
I learned a lesson
Don't ask me I've
Torn the banner from the line
Fastest I've seen them go

Nice falsetto.
does anyone know why did they delete their 'iMi' performance on CBS?
Anyone else getting a Neu vibe from the mid-song jam sesh?
Suwannee Hulaween 2020
Did they take down Blood Bank and iMi??????
Can’t find it also :(
Grateful dead style. Sucks this album didn’t win a Grammy tho
