This was the first album I bought for myself. $1 at used record store in the late 70's. My idol as I was coming of age. I'd later name my first child after him: Noah Lennon Davidson.

He nailed it. Political and religious dogma are the largest obstruction to social unification. Imagine..
There’s no way you didn’t know this song
IMO the greatest song ever written.
possibly the best song ever written
This song with if I can dream and Bittersweet symphony 3 of the most meaningful songs written.
Love your take on the lyrics - spot on. I know it's meant to be a positive song, but it still makes me sad because all the stuff that John sings about here - we still haven't got it sorted!
This song kept me sane during the pandemic
The long walk symbolizes our journey through life. The room piano and yoko's dress are all white symbolizing purity. The room is dark when they enter and Yoko his wife lets in the light to dispel the darkness
John, you're not the only one. ☮
Try "Watching the wheels" from his last album Double fantasy, this tune is about the life he lived from the mid 70s
My grandson just turned 3 and he’s known John Lennon since he was born all the Beatles he knows
That's exactly the point he was trying to make... imagine a world peace love freedom and liberty for all

If it was not for Buddy Holly The Master there would be no Beatles. This woman is stunning, so pretty
"Woman" is probably my favorite of John.
