I didn’t even know this placed existed until I drove past here with my dad. I went here 3 times with my mom. Paradise plunge was my favorite.

Even growing up near it, we just like never went here. Paradise Plunge is a fair number one - it just hurt my back a bit more then the trap door slide. And. Dropping with the trap door is just something else…

Amazing video as always, I went here during the summer and I really enjoyed it. It is one of my favorite water parks. The employees are so nice. The ride selection is good and it’s just so much fun. It’s definitely not better than Schlitterbahn or Aquatica, but it’s a great spot to have fun.
-Pro tip, if you rent a tube it functions as a fast pass and you can skip the lines and you can just go right up the tower. To rent a tube it’s between 5 to 7 bucks.

Thanks for the support! It really is a charming waterpark. Not Schlitterbahn, but I think I do prefer it over Aquatica in San Antonio (though I might just not have been as impressed with that park as I should have been when I went). Was wondering what the point of renting a tube was - as a fast pass it’d be worth it for sure. Great tip!

Back in the 90s, this park had 3 bodyslides called Hydra. All 3 bodyslides were fun and each one was a little different than the other. I wish they had kept that one.

Awesome to know! Where were they located at? It really is interesting learning about the history of this park!

I believe it was where Vortex is now. I haven't been to the park in awhile but I'm pretty sure that's where it was.

@@user-lm9mb5th7l Yeah, there are some extra unused support posts under Vortex, so it looks like something was there before for sure

@@RollerCoastersOfThailandHydra was where RipQurl is now. Vortex was Space Rapids with 3 different tube slides

@@nick216634 Ah. So I can be mad at Vortex that it took away some different tube slides. RipQurl is alright, but I feel a body slide tower there would likely be better. Ah, change...

Glad I can make it enjoyable. My most memorable was how flatly and sad I said #1 for Iron Gwazi on my Busch Gardens countdown… 🤣

    Have you been to Schlitterbahn?

I’ve been to the New Braunfels location a fair amount while I was growing up, but only once recently back in 2021, though it is by far the best water park I’ve been to. Though lines were crazy long in 2021, even on a weekday so it seems unfortunate that you likely will need to buy fast pass visiting there now a days. I’ve never been to the Galveston location, for some reason. The South Padre Island location (rebranded after the family solid Schlitterbahn) was wonderfully set up when I went with how you floated off the lazy river into all the water coaster lines.

Do you prefer Hurricane Harbor (Houston) or Typhoon Texas (Houston)? And why. Please and thank you.
My best friend and I did typhoon Texas all summer last year, so we are interested in trying hurricane harbor this year.

I haven’t been to Typhoon Texas yet, so I can’t really speak from experience. The trees and shade at Hurricane Harbor are nice as far as a good atmosphere. If you can get a discount on season passes to go to all the Six Flags Parks, likely worth at least trying. Hopefully my reviews help give you a good overview of the slide line ups that they have.
