I grew up going to White water. Had season passes all through my childhood with friend down the street, who's mom would take us almost every day of the summer. I was their the day the E.coli event most likely happened, as the kiddie pools where brown. Also was their when Bruce Willis was visiting I believe for the Olympics, stood behind him and got to talk with him and shake his hand while waiting in line for the Body flumes ride. I'd love to see more information on old ride remnants. Like the random drop off next to Mutiny Chute. Older brother told me it used to be a ride, but ever since i was a kid in the 90's it was closed, at least from what i can remember. I also find it odd they decided to demo the River Rapids ride instead of just taking over the old American adventures area to add more rides. But its odd that it looks like they left behind parts of concrete slide that you can see when you go up to python plunge. I havn't been since before covid, i am curious if they officially cut off and demo'd the split of the lazy river that went around what is now called skull island. last time i went they actually built up a wall to not even allow water into it but the whole river structure was still in place, prior years to that, it was just a net preventing anyone from going that way. I assume lack of employees to man that extension of the river was why they cut it off.
Majority of the rides are closed because around half of the lifeguards are planning on starting around next weekend or memorial day weekend so lazy river and the back end of the park should all be open by then. Same goes for Run Away and dive bomber as we were all trained on those slides and got to ride all of the ones they plan to operate
@crazygarfieldcat3882 From what I know everything is planned to be open.Tidal Wave has been kinda iffy but its planned to operate when the lazy river opens since the bottom lifeguard position is a lazy river rotation. One of the managerials who was training us was saying in the upcoming years the whole Bermuda Triangle and Caribbean Plunge tower will probably get taken down because its structurally unsound and didnt pass inspection so I am assuming their next new attraction would replace that.
@crazygarfieldcat3882 so from my knowledge so far this season it has been closed and that whole tower has been blocked off with wooden border. it could be a staffing issue but we aren’t really short staffed like we were previous seasons. if it opens this year it will be rare
I used to work at Run-a-way river and CLIFFHANGER (the name before it became a drop floor slide) probably more than any other slide in the park. RAR was the most popular slide in the park
Wassup bro, I was the lifeguard at the bottom of one of the slides. I was going to say hey cause I watch your channel often but the supervisor was standing right there and we cant get caught getting distracted while on stand 💀
Well my son and I will be comingthis weekend and it's my very first time ever in my 47 years of coming to Whitewater and never have I been to Six Flags and wondering how to plan our trip
@@fwmjayy Idk it’s been a few years since I’ve been. Miguel did say that most of the life guards were coming after Memorial Day so I guess just base your findings on that
Love the videos man. I live in Georgia and use to go to white water a lot as a kid but haven’t been in several years. I’m so ready to go back, I still go to six flags all the time I forgot about a lot of these water slides man I miss the tornado. Need to go again soon. Anyway just wanted to say hey and tell you I love your content so keep it up ❤
Not going to say python plunge isn't fun, but I miss the rapids upper and lower course. Just slightly salty😂. Dragon's Tail will always be the goat lol. Typhoon was a worthy replacement for the banzai pipeline.
🧊🧊🧊, that was a great time as always. from Sir Frederick, the 3rd doesn’t need to be tested at all. It just benefits of being tall with long legs, that’s all. was crazy that u spun off in small seconds you but gotten hit the most as I usually do. Six Flags always be the second home because it's the most affordable way to vacate a bit to be back in good selves again. On to the next adventure.
So we can't wear water shoes anymore on slides Ive been wearing my slip on water shoes for the last couple years to white waters thats why I ask just wondering if its a new rule?
The two burlap colored slides in the back section thats never open are getting removed (Bermuda Triangle). I only got to ride them once, but really insane experiences. I also want to know exactly why that section is open. To see them running perfectly fine but closed is odd. I feel like its either staffing issues or budget cuts are going on here becuase there is no way that section has been closed off for THIS LONG without something pretty important going on
@Bufforp1ngt0n Woww thats really interesting to know. I saw GCS and BRF running, good to see those two back at it. I also saw the Bermuda Triangle without water during my visit as well. Wish it could've stuck around for a tad longer.
@Bufforp1ngt0n Bermuda Triangle's replacement will be very interesting. I'm betting on a water coaster since Python Plunge wasn't. Or another tube slide built in house.
@Bufforp1ngt0n At this point they might as well remove Tidal Wave and give Bahama Bobslide a new conveyor belt, because both of those are old and slow. There's not much you can do with Tidal Wave's space, but its definitely possible to work with it. It was definitely surprising to see Wahoo Racer closed the day I went, considering all the other rides were open, and it was one of the newest rides there. I think ride closures also depend on how old they are/popularity as well, since GCS and BRF have decent waits, have been there for a good amount of time. Dive Bomber seems to be too intimidating for guests (at least that was the case when I went) since when I went to the top there were only 4 people up there, I was also there on a less busy day so I've seen lines vary. Bahama Bobslide is such a boring raft ride, if they're not going to at least replace the conveyor they can do away with that slide as well. Then there will be a good amount of space for a new attraction, maybe even two if tidal wave isn't gone. Speaking of, I actually don't know why Tidal Wave is never open. It lands right into the lazy river it isn't like nobody will ride it. My guess is that it's one of the less thrilling slides there and they'd prefer to keep higher intensity slides open w/ their staff.
@Bufforp1ngt0n Given their history I'd say 2026-28? It took a good minute for them to remove The Rapids, and I didn't even get to ride that one, so they might be weighing their options right now, or saving up money to invest in a fine arts attraction
@@ThemeParksUncovered man I saw people had a lot of negative things to say. None of them were true when I was there. Staff was a little short but they were great. MOST things were open ( besides when a girl puked on the 2 orange slides) and the one kiddy area. But for the price the kids got a days full of awesome entertainment and rides will definitely be back.
@kyle7950 that’s really awesome to hear! Honestly from what I’ve learned by observing others is that people like to follow what other people have to say. Negativity is very contagious and the popular thing to do. A lot of people like to follow rather than experience things for things for themselves and have a great time. Glad you all had a blast though!
a little bit too positive here. I would be very mad if I paid for a one day ticket for this. Another season where I wont touch this place with a ten foot pole. hopefully they figure their stuff out.
@@kylesullivan371 I can certainly see your perspective feeling that way that half the slides and lazy river isn't open during this time. From my understanding, somewhat like six flags over Georgia where the first two weeks are a little rough because they're training new people that just got hired.. usually things at both parks get better for some reason by the third week. Glad you enjoy the videos 😎
U need to check out one of the blue signal tub slides 🛝 with the step drop off man it is awesome forgot the name of it but it sit kinda towards that back alot people love that one also go is super fast and it throws u in the air into the water its in that area that was closed off that u showed
