I've visited Argentina on a couple of occasions, and I had a wonderful time both times. I love the people, the culture, the architecture, the food, the music, nature, I fell in love with the country, and I would definitely go back one day.

I enjoyed your video. My husband is Argentine and we lived there for two years. I became fluent in the language and discovered a career for 31 years as a Spanish teacher in the US. I appreciate your thoughtful explanation of the economic situation there as we have family residing there also. A walk down memory lane of the footage of Mendoza and Buenos Aires. Many places where we visited and walked during our stay. You have an excellent voice for describing the different areas and sharing your knowledgeable research of the different locations. I get very frustrated with some videographers who share negative views of certain aspects that are unnecessary. Thank you for an enjoyable video. Hopefully you will travel again and explore the southern sections of the country also. Beautiful country that I was never able to see with my husband while living there. Saludos de los EEUU. 🤩😍

Thanks for your words, mate... I wonder why nobody mentions that, with all our economic problems, which are worldly known, Argentina is a clean country. You can eat here anywhere and you will find hygiene. People is educated and polite, and will help you in anything they can. We manage to keep our life pretty decently. Argentina didn't became a shithole, no matter what you hear on the internet. Almost everyone here has a decent life. It's hard, of course, but we stand.
Sadly, we tend to be very critic with ourselves and our country... Because the vast majority doesn't know what's going on in the rest of the world.

You made me emotional with your final words... your reflection that it is cheap for foreigners to travel here... but we Argentines suffer to get the same things that are cheap for a tourist. People in general are kind, right, Someone who comes from another country likes it and we develop a spontaneous sympathy. We feel for a tourist who comes from far away as if he were dear friend or someone from the family, it is also true... I don't know why, but that is how we are in the majority. and that you consider Argentina to be one of the most beautiful countries in the world, wow... a big hug Garry! and thank you.

I am Argentinian, I've lived in Europe and I currently live in the US. I have travelled extensively around the world and every time I go back, I am amazed by how beautiful our cities are and how rich the culture is, which is something you become aware of once you leave, unfortunately. It's still a striking place and pretty safe, but I am fearful that the economic situation will end up eroding all the beauty and richness of our culture and replace it with a more violent and "ghetto-like" mentality that inevitably flourishes in the west when things are not going well.

@@GarryMikal We have been in Puebla since January and we do like it. Near an active volcano so it was 'smokey' when we first arrived with a bit of ash dropping. The weather here is near perfect. Warm days and cool nights - with thunderstorms around 4:00 pm - cool! It's also very inexpensive to live here.
We also lived for nearly 2 years in Acapulco not far from the Princess hotel in the newer section; it was beautiful (parts of Acapulco can be a bit run down). But since their hurricane the place is a mess I've heard. We were there for a 7.4 earthquake and experienced 120 seconds of sheer terror! But the hurricane sounded 100 times worse. People we knew there were crying for hours in terror while their houses/apartments broke apart around them.
Also lived for just over a year in San Miguel de Allende - nice place with cool old buildings and rooftop bars. And for 6 months in Leon - which was an ok city.
Mexico has alot of diversity which is great with many different climates and the people are nice. Not sure though going forward how things will be with the newly elected President here - and the US is looking like a real time bomb - so it could be good to get further away from the US. Mexico has 'felt' a bit foreign to us. We moved from Australia in 2021. From what you said about Buenes Aires 'feeling' a bit more 'Americanised' attracting different nationalities - that sounds great. And the european flavour of it would be interesting too.
