See there is nothing like core non core because core is limited it cannot provide more employment because of its less scalable capabilities but IT or finance can be scaled up or even healthcare but the thing is that nowadays everything is transferring to technology so any company let's say it may not have a sophisticated large team of core people but will have software people, data people and robotics people or AI ML guys so from any industry be it finance, healthcare, manufacturing anything only the nature of jobs will be changed but tech will always have upper hand on core 😂😂

Core Sector will never pay more unless and until we have Manufacturing capacity. This sector is not stable and no growth interms of Pay infront Of IT sector. I know Some Core Engineering branch students try to give false hopes but they themselves are working in IT industry. Stay away from core. Join only if u get PSUs. Otherwise IT has great score ahead as well.

Just want tell you one thing clearly ,in future all machines and work will be based on programming and computer without computer engineer no one can work even doctor too
Yes , it is correct but IT engineers can only uptill to 52 yrs except some person's with higher management but core engineers can upto 60 yrs to 61 yrs .
That,s why salary is less than IT sector because they give increments
on the experience basis and more knowledge basis but IT sector give you salary on the skills based mostly and investment in IT sector is also less as compare to core sector where investment is twice or thrice or four times more .

I'm from a minority engineering college which I think people of Chennai also don't know
about bcoz it's that much average.. but i have to say that if you have done core engineering. Please know the concepts then you can have a good career. I also had the same issue when my interviewer asked me what are the modes of heat transfer and I knew ntg. It was shameful.. I'm now a HVAC design Engineer (search in google), i Would say that my salary is half of my IT fellows and 5 times less than nerd CS and IT waale. My brother is also an HVAC engineer and he is doing very very well in Dubai.. abroad is the place for us.. in India he would be getting around 65k for his 5 years of experience.. in Dubai he's getting 18k dirham.. which is good for a mechanical engineer.
If you get experience you're value also increases. So if some building project is given to you, you would do it in very very less time with very less tension.. because most of the residential buildings are the same and also some normal hotels and restaurants calculations are also not that much complicated. You have to use all of ur brain only if you had to design Ferrari World or Taj hotel..
And engineers mostly do calculation part in my field.. senior mechanical engineers see the duct routing and other strategical things.. and their salaries are from 25k to 45k AED. So get some experience and move to a place where there is value for your field.
