One thing I would like to add
I am a cs student and the dark thing that nobody tells about the tech industry is that the career span in this field is preety small as u have to keep yourself relevant with latest technology and when u reach 40 if u are not at the peak of your game u might be laid off or forced to retire
I myself want to move to govt sector coz its way more stable
Sir should I do btech in cse or take a general degree (3 years like bsc) and do mba afterwards

Yes that true but by the time you are 40, most of the government jobs will be privatised too.

Government job at 40..age limit will be crossed..now days government jobs is more hectic than private jobs..

I'm someone who's in the same situation as well man.
Didn't know i was interested in Physiotherapy and sports science until my 12th grade, but it was too late since i didn't opt for bio after 10th.
I still am hugely interested in that field, but don't see any chances of going back.

Story of every middle-class mechanical /civil/electric engineer
1) private job- extremely underpaid salary with lots of work
2) government job- competition is killing dreams
3) business -not have a resource, environment, or rich people in circle
4)study abroad - expensive, cannot afford
& these are the hurdles every middle class have to cross to get success,
This world is all about money & power. & if you can't get it you'll be screwed in this planet.

Yes, like me, I am a mechanical engineer and done masters in industrial enginnering. I am doing PhD in data driven manufacturing. I really love this field an integration of data mining and hard core manufacturing. Actually very few persons know or try to understand the mathematics behind any machine learning algorithms. This is what I am trying to master. Additionally i am facing issues with indian manufacturing industries as they say leave us we dont need your help. Hence, there are issues. So doing a course in data science wont do any good to budding learners until they understand its just a tool and they need to apply in their respective field.
But I will provide them food and bread ryt?

Failed in 4th semester third class college electrical engineering
First drop jee mains 3lakh rank
Taking partial second drop wasted first year of college got 75000 rank not changed college wasted third semester in depression finally failed in fourth semester
Not having any skill
Previously distracted by social media now i am wasting my each day only by inner distraction
Mentally permanently distracted
My parents are in pain because of me.
I have not changed college because of fear of 2 year gap
Because at 75000 i will not get tier 1 college or even cse in tier 2
I have to bring at least under 50000 but now i am suffering because of my actions

Start learning some coding languages maybe
Why so much you are focusing on Jee mains . .....You are wasting your mental energy is waste things..... Focus on academic to improve your grade now....... Then if still your dream is iit and nit... Your dream can very easily fulfilled by Gate... Just you need above 6.5 cgpa and gate score.

Iam diploma in electrical tell some short term courses to for a bright future earlier I was not interested but now I have decided that I will give my best in this
ANY final year and undergrad students reading this post--Dont prepare for any competitive exams(including UPSC), learn programming skills, do MS in Canada/us and get out of india. U will be faar more richer and happy than any ias/ips/govt employee. 100% sure
It takes minimum of Rs 1,00,000 to apply for universities in Canada and US. A minimum of Rs 1,00,000 more to move there once selected. A loan or investment of at least Rs 20,00,000.

Bhai everything is correct but here comes this question how to find it? what is the sign we should be looking towards bcuz if we only consider the factor of happiness I've considered many fields which will do so? But what is that actual mark we should be looking towards as after 18 we don't have either the time or the choice to think about any we become desperate feel left out looking at our peers and the path they are going on whether it's their chosen or not but the concept of being left behind while others go on seems frightening.

I wanted to be entrepreneur, especially something related to mechanical.. obviously mechanical engineering jobs won't get me enough money to build a company.. so I had to shift to IT even after studying mechanical for 6years (diploma+degree).
I'm working in IT for my advantage, to build up captial.

i took mechanical engineer because I liked physics all my life.discovered my passion in rocketry in 3rd year.started preparing for gate and isro ever since. failed to clear gate2022 in my final year. all my friends switched to IT with out even trying for a core job even though there weren't many. everyone now a days are switching to IT and iam starting to think to go into IT. now I don't know what to do.

@@ashishtorq i never used to feel that way and that is the reason why I choose mechanical engineering when everyone in my family were criticizing me for not choosing cse.now i feel like iam punished for choosing what I like,since there aren't many jobs in the core field.
I know what you are saying and i completely agree with you but, dont you think responsibilities overpower your passion and you have no other choice but to choose the job which offers better financial stability even though I might not enjoy working in it?

im diploma in EE and now doing btech from tier 4 college ... what should i do as i have given a lot of time to core so switching to IT field doesn't justify my education of sum of 6-7 yrs .. what should i do as no vacancy nor getting any job in core ...
