Ahoy, mateys, and welcome aboard the swashbuckling saga of "Nice Price or Crack Pipe," the treasure hunt where the booty is as elusive as the fabled gold of Tortuga, and the quest is for none other than the legendary Mazda Miata in all its generations: the NA, the nimble first mate that started the voyage; the NB, sleek and swift as a sloop in the night; the NC, sturdy and reliable as a galleon; and the ND, agile and daring as a brigantine facing the high seas. This be the tale of salty dogs and seasoned sea captains navigating through the choppy waters of valuation, seeking out whether these prized vessels command a "Nice Price" or if they're but a siren's call leading to the "Crack Pipe" depths of folly.
Thrice we'll chant the names of these storied ships: the NA, NB, NC, and ND, as our pirate crew sizes them up, weighing their worth in gold doubloons and pieces of eight. Will they spy through their spyglasses a deal as fair as the wind at their backs, or will they find themselves marooned with a purchase as cursed as Davy Jones' locker?
Our buccaneers face challenges as daunting as navigating the Bermuda Triangle, testing their sea legs and knowledge of the Miata fleet - the NA, NB, NC, and ND - with tasks as varied as identifying the ship from its Jolly Roger alone or racing to hoist the sails (or in this case, drop the tops) faster than their shipmates. It's a test of wit, will, and wisdom on the high seas of commerce.
Again, we'll invoke the spirits of the NA, NB, NC, and ND, as our contestants duel with destiny, each hoping to claim their prize and not to be sold a vessel with a hull as full of holes as a treasure chest eaten by woodworm. Will they navigate their way to a "Nice Price" or be doomed to tell tales of the "Crack Pipe" price that sent them to the bottom of the fiscal sea?
So, grab your compass and set sail with us on "Nice Price or Crack Pipe," where the quest for the legendary Miata - in its NA, NB, NC, and ND glory - is a journey filled with peril, negotiation, and the eternal hope of finding that one ship that will carry you to the horizon of your dreams. Will our pirates emerge victorious, chests heavy with loot, or will they walk the plank of buyer's remorse? Tune in, ye scallywags, for a tale of adventure, of fortunes won and lost, and of the eternal search for the Miata that rules the waves. Авто/Мото

This needs to be the channel's new legal tender. 😂
You know what's a crackpipe? FC RX7s beaten to shit selling for more than $8K in California.
I hate how terrible the entire car market is. I just want an older mustang GT with a manual. 2005+ model years

Man I know I'm way too drunk when I'm actually thinking about dropping 10k on a miata
Not all accidents on record are created equal. My 986 Boxster S had an "accident" back in 2006. The owner showed me that it was keyed by a crazy ex-girlfriend and repaired using insurance, thus the report. I honestly can't find where it was on the car.
Agreed, my car was in a minor accident with only cosmetic damage, but it was properly repaired, no normal person would be able to tell so I don't mind. If I hadn't been a detailer for nearly 10 years I'm sure I wouldn't notice it either.
Most people can’t spot body work.
Ignorance is bliss
Buy an ND2. Most are still under Mazda warranty. Best features /power/safety of any generation, and only slightly heavier than an NA.
At this point I would rather be bent over literally than metaphorically when buying a car
My absolute favorite group of guys. I love the random rants yall go on mid video
Got mine for $5K in 2020, soft top ‘99 NB 1.8 5 Speed ~70k miles, came with all add on top trim level equipment minus ABS + mudguards + fog lights, has sport package w/ better suspension + LSD + lip spoiler, also aftermarket 2 fan radiator + alloy wheels w/ sport tires
what a deal
Lesson:jump in before normies take notice
Nice price or crack pipe is the best game. I can't wait until the video. You guys are the only reason why I watch RUclips. After GT ended I thought cool car content was gone, but you guys keep carrying on the flame. Great job.

I’m thinking about buying another NC. that’s how much I like this one, and how mentally ill I am.
NC are criminally underrated
Absolutely love my NC1 AEM Intake and Goodwin exhaust with a versa tune, 67,000 miles . 😁
NC3 + PRHT : )
none of them fit fridges, all bad
plenty of room above the trunk with a ratchet strap tf you mean
Hey guys, love the banter. I got an nc kuro edition 2.0, 2 years ago, with 54.000 miles, for £10k i got lucky. Came with all the options, tower strut braces, front to back, bilstein package,
Cruise control. New clutch, and for some strange reason, a
Brand new set of pirelli p zero zr's. W even tf. Its a keeper.

I miss when companies made cars that didn't have an infinite amount of horsepower and we're just a total blast to drive.
Figures mean nothing to me,the experience it gives me will always be much more important.
Next month if all goes well I'm going to get myself a Miata NB just because no other newer car feels the same or better.
And,I would never be able to maintain and afford a car with a 3l or more engine.
The taxes are insane here.
actually wanted to hear about the sticker thing with the accident :( hope yall do a dedicated video about that with similar infor
I bought mine last summer for 6500cad/4800usd, turbo NB, new paint 77500 miles, I'm so glad I bought it
I bought a 1992 sun burst yellow Miata with 50k original on it, as well as an original yellow hard top for 8,500
The only nice NA near me was listed for 9k. Other examples I looked at were 5-10k and nowhere near the condition of the one I previously mentioned. Finding a GOOD na Miata is extremely hard. You’re going to spend at least 8k for a good, sub 100k miles, no rust and well taken care of car.
I bought an 94 NA Miata with 110k miles. No issues. 1.8l and lsd. I got it for $1600. That was 2016. Now I see people asking triple for something clapped out.I won’t be buying another one
Got my 10AE in 2016 for $4500 with 72k miles. It was an okay deal.
Sold it with TWO rear end accidents, a salvage title and 112k miles in 2021 for 3.5k.
Bought a 91 NA (b package, LSD) with 108k miles for 5.3k (2022) and sold it for 5.8k with 116k miles in 2023.
The market is up whether we like it or not.
Yes. Went from an 01 NB to a 2017 Abarth. Couldnt be happier with it.
You guys are way off on that LS1 swap. All of the parts used beyond the engine swap were premium components. That car would smoke a 996 or a Vette. No way you could scrape all that together for $27k. If you could get them down closer to $20k that would be a steal. Proper drivetrain all the way back, Willwood brakes, factory Nardi, Flyin' Miata goodies, etc etc etc! Cmon! That's an extremely clean build with more power than most can handle.
It’s clean but a complete waste of time and energy
I have a 2003 miata shinsen edition, got it for $9,000 back in 2016 with 68k miles. It now has around 113 miles in almost perfect condition. If I would sell it would be around $12,000
That first car is a clean, low mile, classic (its over 30 years old). Thats a good buy at $9500.
I think that's kind of the point some of these guys missed with the NA and the Mazdaspeed when judging them as crackpipes. These are definitely collector's cars in their own right. NA being an actual classic with a lot of cheaper examples either run down, rusted away, clapped out or already wrapped around a tree. The Mazdaspeed has perks of being uncommon and unique. Would I buy either example to modify and drive the shit out of? Heck no, overpriced for that use. As a collectable to keep in good condition for years on? Yes.
Pretty sure whatever rear quarter panel damage on the Mazdaspeed was not owner's fault at all, easy rear-end spot. I know since I'm dealing with that rn on my ND2 lmao.
got a 2007 miata with the power retractable top for 10k in 2022. love the car wish i could have found a better price.
Hmmm didn't hear any mention of ND1 vs ND2, 30 hp deficit might make that price cracky.
The various mods on the ND1 are pretty high end and not half assed. Ohlins suspension? Basically the best dual-use coilovers you can get for the ND, about 2-3k new. Plus it was the Brembo-BBS package. I'm more surprised it was under 20k.
Engine is not as fun on the ND1, yes, but if you also compare say NA 1.6 vs 1.8 prices, NC1 vs NC2/3 prices, it tracks about right. ND1 may be a dealbreaker for you, but it's only worth a couple thousand less for the market as a whole.
I can't afford to pay atte...SHAKE IT BABY!😅😂
Not even kidding this is the best find of 2024, u guys keep me going. Much love from Cali🙌🏻
Idk i feel like most Na’s are completely beat to death & junk and still go for around or above 5k with 150+k miles . A low 30k mile NA does make sense being about double that, especially being single owner & all that. Hardtops alone are 2-3k depending on if it’s stolen or a legit seller 💀
These are pretty low mileage examples tbf, similar examples here in Australia will go for 20-25k for an NA Miata. 100k+ mile examples will go for around 14-18k in good condition.
Miata guy here, 9500 for the first car isn’t crack pipe. You gotta understand that these retailed for 13k when they came out so to have one thats untouched and low miles sell for 9k in 2023 follows depreciation.
Also thats a bnc 1.6, which is better than a bpo5 (na 1.8). That 1.6 motor comes with a mls head gasket, water and oil feed built into the block, higher compression ratio, better gear ratio, and lighter drivetrain. Stop comparing the 1.6 motor to the nb 1.8. Motor. The na b6 1.6 is better than the na 1.8 bpo5, the na’s didnt have a bp4w which is what people are always comparing it to when they call the 1.6 a ‘baby motor.’
On top of that the efi system is simple as fuck, its one of the easiest cars to megasquirt.
13 in 1992 usd or 2024 usd. Cause inflation is a thing
14:40 I love how nobody noticed the “Caution Deaf Children Ahead” sign😂
Puchi hit my soul with that superior childhood views, can still see all the massive ships on the horizon and driving backroads in a rusted out t100. Midwest special.
Damage to left rear is probably from some dumbazz in a pickup truck running into the car. That has happened to my Miata twice, and it’s bright fcuking red!
rare to see feed get this unhinged, it's great
Having bought many used
Was watching old top gear episodes and they were buying old Porsches for $950 lmao

depends on condition mileage and options for a classic Miata while this years model starts at 30,200 and goes up to 42,000 depending on trim package options etc. and sales were down almost 50% from January 2023 sales to January 2024 sales for ex according to Kelly Blue Book right now a 2019 with 75,000 miles on the odometer is worth 14,224 depending on if its your traditional soft top version or the RF retractable fastback
Oh my god how did I just find this channel...
My first miata was actually 2500 with 200k miles 😂. Now i'm slightly upgraded to an msm. Any entry level enthusiast car here in cali cost a shit ton these days.
anudder victowi foh da og, good vid bois
Damn that second miata looks really good though! Very timeless appearance. What gen?
I just got a 01 nb2 miata special edition. British racing green and tan top and have the 1.8l vvt engine and I pain 3800 and it's still inspected for 7 more months
Those very specific modifications and the garage it's parked in lead me to believe it's not really his sister car haha
in the pictures for the gray 44k miles mazdaspeed, you can see its slightly overheating.
It’s not. The needles sit in the very same places in my ‘99 at idle and while driving. Have never had an issue in all of three years as a daily. In South Florida no less.
i live in south Louisiana and my needle has never even seen half way like in the pictures , it always pointing slightly towards the cooler side at operating temp. @@LateNightCable
That green one with the ls is dope
I looked at some Miatas but I can't do rag tops and they're really slow. Same reasons I got rid of my Tracker.
Please do more s chassis and Sw20 vids
Miata video :D
Congrats on 69k!
I can’t afford a bottle of Taco Bell sauce in 2024
Personally I think all these are over priced, I've seen 2 miatas this week on FB market place get sold for 4k and 3.5k with original hardtops and under 100k. You really just have to wait for the right deal and hope to snag it.
Do non m e36's next please!!!!!!!! Lots of good content from all the Cali e36's lol
Puchii make a car buying guide video please. I wanted to hear what you had to say
It's going to suck looking for another one next time someone totals mine. Insurance gave me ~900 last time and it was a very clean 1992.
The prices are only gonna go up, one look at the r/miata subreddit and you'll see daily broccoli heads losing control of NA's and NB's and rolling them
All that power breaks the rear end loose
My favorite car of all time. so little.
we fucking LOVE Duluth, MN .. real one's been to the OG The Edge Water Hotel and that one buffet in the mall (rip)
Good audio
Shit, these prices aren't even that bad. In california miatas with 250k miles ripped top different color body panels and "won't pass smog you deal with it" are going for 8-10k.
This is over far too quickly. But it's golden.
I have a miata I could come off of for as low as 3500 - NA 1.6 with 317k original miles and no rust - lemme know.
You guys do not know clapped cars lmao, that silver one was fine
All and all, I don’t like the first two Miata gens, but I can see myself driving an ND, too bad they’re not really cheap, but at least the NC is within my price range.
Wish you guys could ship to Australia, but it would be like $50 shipping on a sticker, so i get it haha
please do one of these for BaT Lancer Evos🙏🏻🙏🏻
IDK who's gaslighting everyone into thinking these budget oriented low-powered high-production super common "sports cars" are worth north of $10k, but they're doing a great job
Does it actually have lsd? I wonder. The first one.
As someone who grabbed my miata for $1700 I cannot believe these prices.
Yo what’s the CCF intro song shit slaps harder than 4 Diablo sauces
When's the copart nice price or crack pipe
I can’t afford 2024
What was so bad about the photos of the first car? I don't get it.
Why would you ls swap a Miata when every rx8 already needs an engine and cash be had for under 2k? Nevermind all the Porsche 944's waiting for a swap. Miata with a V8 is just dragging it's nuts around. It's a novelty item. Rather have a stock one
There’s a ls1 shipping container called the “C5” that actually is a pretty good car as well
12:00 Feed started genuinely tweaking 😭😭😭
Bro I've been looking for a NB or NA miata but the prices are completely fucked and the whole car itself is dirt abused while they all got 150k+ miles on it and sometimes they add their own price they put into modding into the sell price. Lowkey I'm about to give up bruh... gotta work myself and buy a ND or hope for a good NC miata deal.
This is for the non hardcore ccf dudes. I get it, you gotta upload something. All nonsense aside, i worked with a guy that had a 1990 miata with the “1989 car of the year” stickers still on the wing windows. He got some absurdly expensive color matched hard top, and some jdm wheels. My nissan frontier still blew the doors off of it but it’s a dope little car.
Dark Isadora Duncan reference. RIP
I can't believe people say that a car so fun should only be $2500. Baffles the mind.
I got my 2000 NB track ready with 37k miles for 9k in June. NP or CP?
Depends heavily on what "track ready" means
@@CollectorCarFeedmeans you won't mind as much when you add another dent...

That LS powered Miata FUCKS!!!!!
That Miata if set up right would destroy a Porsche and a corvette.
If you want a miata the NC is hands down the most car for the money.
Absolutely
This game is so hilarious lmao
I've seen NA miatas with 37,000 miles be on sale for $21,000 😂
cannot believe they all guessed cp on the mazdaspeed
i feel like the boys still genuinely do not know how the game works
Tfw my luggage rack is going to get roasted when you do the readers rides in 2 years ;(
I love Duluth
my friend owns a na miata and he is tired of these prices for miatas on FB marketplace
My brother just bought a 97 salvage title whose water pump broke during the test drive with 150k miles. 2500 bucks
Want to send the first car to all the fb market place adds close to 9k
I drive a mustang
Yea it's a fooord
Cuz a real sports car I can't afford
NY - Don't buy!
NJ - Stay away!
It's great how you all find different ways to misunderstand the goal of the game
I Honda civics should cost $2500 bucks but you can't find one without 250k miles and only half the frame left now
