Why I love my Miata:
1. My 1992 Miata is the most fun I've ever had going slow
2. You can launch the hell out of it when the light turns green, smack the rev limiter, and still be driving legally under the speed limit
3. Headlight go up. Headlights go down. Headlights go up. Headlights go down.
4. "I can't help you move; I drive a Miata."
5. Bone stock wheels, suspension, swaybars, etc. and it still rips corners

Not very good, it's a 90 NA, has a lot of miles, diffs welded and it was lowered like shit, but it's a nice project, I'll probably put another 1000 into it and make it a nice daily/tack car

I currently have an NA6 Miata, and it’s honestly the most fun I’ve had in a car in which I could drive to redline without even breaking the speed limit lol
The only time I hate my miata is when I can't drive it because its in the middle of a mod. But when I can drive it, it's my slow little barista's car that I get made fun of by my euro friends for having. Then I just tell them that a new wheel hub is only 45 bucks and watch them cry.

1. Fun car that isn't a taxi to your friends (now you can say, "I'd drive you, but I don't have any room")
2. If you're concerned about safety, get a roll bar
3. Buy a manual Miata, it's a blast to shift through notchy gears, I can't even imagine mine being an automatic.
I wrecked and totaled my Miata a couple of weeks ago. Like an absolute idiot, I let go off the clutch too fast and went down on the gas too hard on a wet rural road. After completing a 360-degree spin accros the pavement, I wound up in a ditch, and a tree finally stopped me. Crunch.
You're quite right when you say you're always smiling in a Miata. It was fun right up until the very end. I miss that darn little thing... Probably gonna get another one, eventually.

I've got a 1995 Miata. I love this car, and if you want to get into cars I can't recommend it enough. And if you can drop a dollar or two on it, you can make it pretty damn quick.
I drove an NB for 14 years and loved everything about driving it. Afterwards, driving any other car just seemed to be a letdown, so I finally went out and got another NB and got my smile back. I'm going to drive it until I'm pushing up daisies!
Yup. That happened when I got a civic. Eventually went back to a Miata because the handling, while good on the civic, was not on the level of a miata.
Technically, if you look into the lore of Mazda and the word Miata... they're _technically_ God's Gift...

Owned one for 6-7 years. It was a 95 soft top and probably the best used car I ever owned. Low maintenance and is nightmare free compared to my current project which is my 97 Eclipse GST that I'm 3 years deep with (still love her though). I'll leave this maintenance log here for those who are interested on what had to be done in those 6-7 years. Buy manual transmission so much more fun!!!!
Mods (that came from the previous owner): Full racing beat exhaust system, KGB adjustable suspension, and K&N high flow intake
Maintenance log:
Oil changes (duh)
Replaced top and bottom rad hoses and thermostat
Valve cover gasket
Wheel bearing which I took her to the shop for (about 400 bucks)
Spark plugs and wires
Some fuses here and there
That was it...
The car cost me 3k and was well taken care of by the previous owner. These cars are very very easy to work on and are great for people that want to learn how to work on their own car. I highly recommend doing the work yourself rather than getting absolutely donkey f@#@# at a repair shop. Parts are cheap as hell for these cars. Drove her from 100k to about 190k. Mainly short commutes and a few road trips here and there. How did she finally die? A car accident out of all things while I was on my way home from work one late afternoon. Do to the size of these cars, my Miata lost the fight and was completely totaled so be careful. A lot of people don't notice you until its too late..

If you're a stance kid, ruin another civic. Modified Miatas beat modified R35's at my local race track all day. If you want some of the best handling you'll ever experience, pick up a miata 🤙

A 1990 NA6
(All tastefully modded)
Then a 400hp Manual GTO.
Sold the GTO after 5 months and got straight into a 2001 NB2. Never look back.

I remember this being one of the first videos I watched when I decided I was really interested in purchasing a Mazda miata. I had a 2017 Mazda Cx-3 & then decided that I need something that suits me better. I love cruising & I also love traveling. I wanted something fun. I really did my research on the Mx-5 & ended up purchasing a brand new 2019 Miata. It is everything & more to me. Definitely true that “you won’t be able to stop smiling” & “you’ll look away when Camaros & other muscle cars look at you” lol but it’s okay because i’m a female so I feel pretty badass in it 😂. I am now looking into air suspension & getting it wrapped + adding some cool new wheels & rims. I’m so excited. While some may say Miatas aren’t practical, I say that it actually is. When you’re someone who mainly rides solo it’s perfect. I fit all of my groceries in it perfectly as well. Love my car

I just rewatched this video and remember you posted this the day before I bought my beat up '97 with a muffler delete from the previous owner. Learned to drive stick on it and it's been a blast the last 2 months.
I'm updating my 1997 Miata for this summer. 1.8l .5 over, 60. turbo @ 30psi, ms3x Diytune ecu, coilovers, braided FM brake lines, upgraded braking system, light weight rims, FM swaybars, and so much more.
Got a 94 and I have yet to get tired of throwing it around the twisties. It's just one of those cars you have to drive to fully appreciate the fun factor.. and yes its terribly slow but then again you don't really want to go fast in it Lol

I have a 95 M Edition with a 99 JDM engine, 6 speed, LSD, lowered on the stock BBS wheels, roll bar, full bolt ons and I love it!
So you want a WRX...
1. Timing belt change
2. Spark plug change
3. Gas prices
4. Insurance prices (usually a mid 20s, Caucasian, male)
And so on...
Don’t forget to always have 4 extra grand in your bank account for an engine rebuild.

They’re great cars when they aren’t breaking down. Maintenance is key to these vehicles, though it isn’t hard just take time, patience, and knowledge.

best car I have ever driven, it has minimal power but its still plenty, she puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel.

1992 M Edition. Have alot done to it about to finally start putting together a turbo build to make some powaaaa. Favorite thing about the 1.6 is the engine loves High RPMs and takes a beating but has never failed to start😍🤤

2018 mx-5 GT but has Bilstein upgrade, LSD, shock tower brace, etc -- and I'm winter driving this (in the cold part of Canada) and having an absolute blast!
I bought a 97 Miata and rebuilt the suspension put a new motor in it and an ISR exhaust with a long tube header and I’m in love 😍

I wanted to own a Miata since around 1990. Got my NA6 on 2002 and my NB1 in 2008. They are really fun to drive and quick on the corners. Easy to do simple mods and don’t ask for parts whatsoever, just regular maintenance!!

I have a mainly stock 1991 miata that I got super recently as my first project car. I love it!!!!
I can never stop smiling in my 91' BRG it is a little beat and has a rebuilt title but it was 2 grand and has 130k miles. Never gave me troubles. I do brakes and fluids myself. Such a fun little car.

Personally, I have always smiled in my Miata, Besides the time when it was pouring rain and my entire drivers side floor was flooded and I had to drive like that to school with my feet absolutely soaked.
Other than that, I love my Miata over my 240 because of its simplicity.

I had and sold a Black '93 LE and currently have an LS1 swapped white '97 with a black hard top. The car is so freaking fast and hooks up like a little 'vette. Best mod I did to any car I've owned was more than doubling the stock horsepower numbers. I just gotta get wider rims and tires on it so I can get more traction to the road. See, I bought my 16" rims and 205/45r16 tires before the swap was done and I didn't want to alter the fenders, plus is is lowered on coil-overs. It is a stock lookin' car 'cept for a carbon fiber hood and dual exhaust tips pokin' out of the rear bumper. I also put a Getrag limited slip differential in it. Can't have all that powah goin' to only one tire....
I fully support all these facts. Every time I had a friend in my NA, they love it too.
