still remember i was so excited when he first came on loan during the 12/13 season. sucks that injuries kept him out for the majority of his time in our club.

Such a shame about his injuries, rarely played a bad game when he was fit. Always gave 100%
tom S shame it got to a point he no longer jumped for headers as it would risk him getting injured. He was unplayable on his day.

Tremendous talent, vastly underrated feet as always known for his aerial prowess. There is no doubt a fit and motivated Caroll was and COULD still be a huge asset for any club. It's unfortunate that this is still a case of "what might have been". Thanks for the memories though AC!

Regardless of his injuries and high wages, I will forever be thankful for this man and some of the great memories he gave us. Hope he has a good end to his career somewhere.

Carroll, he was actually the reason why I became a hammer. I saw his talent one day, fell for it, then discovered the rest of the club. I sincerely hope for the best for his future. Stay amazing Carroll!

Makes me happy seeing that he was shown love by West Ham, such an underrated player so unfortunate that he’s had many injuries and troubles and couldn’t really become what he could’ve been. You can see some of his goals were as if a world class player had taken control of him. Shame the big move to Liverpool didn’t work out too I still remember I was so happy when he signed and luis suarez ofc :)

His injuries weren't his fault however they disrupted his time with us and eventually broke him IMO. He'll never be his true self again on the pitch. However, I respect him for the fun times he's given us. Thanks for everything Andy ⚒ #COYI

I've been guilty of digging Carroll out quite often but I wish him all the best and thank him for his service. In terms of wages versus goals he was bloody expensive but, to be fair, some of his goals were luxury items. And that Palace one will live long in the memory. Shame to see Adrian go too but he deserves to be a No.1 elsewhere.

There are two remarkable things about him, first as someone pointed out recently is his ability to be memorable, second and why clubs are always interested by him, is that his style is such that it actually doesn’t matter who he’s against, he has the same effectiveness against a top six side as he does any other team, the quality of the opposition don’t seem to affect his play.
