Hi Brian, I think you're mistaken about Donald Trump's upbringing. Although his parents may have been wealthy, it was due to the extremely hard work & ingenuity of Donald's father in the construction business. As a child, Donald's father often brought him to the construction sites, where he learned first hand the value of hard work. His mother, in an interview, once said that even as a child, Donald wasn't that interested in playing games, but if he did, it was "always building blocks; he loved building things." Even after inheriting a fortune from his father, who he greatly loved & admired, he continued working tirelessly in the construction business, quadrupling his inheritance. He ventured into many other areas as well, even show business. Family, patriotism, and hard work are his life, and it shows. He demonstrates keen interest in the stories of everyday people, and he has worked & played with every walk of life. Despite this, he has never smoked, drank alcohol, or consumed drugs. He has seen much; he knows much; and he relaxes very little. Even on the golf course, he's working, as he has related in interviews. So I think your assessment of him being born wealthy with no understanding of hard work is quite unfair & inaccurate.
Brian, America culture was conceived as the child of the radical Protestant Reformation. We were colonized purposefully by England's religious malcontents. Continual controversy is the very child of this movement. Thus, like Protestants we are quarrelsome and contentious, however because of this we are at least alive and not political zombies as seems to be the case in Canada. Furthermore, some liberal commentators, like Anna Kasparian, have noted they are treated better by "conservatives" than conservatives are treated by liberals. This is, in my opinion, because more conservatives are traditionally religious and live in a culture of sin forgiveness and repentance, thus they understand that one can make mistakes and change, whereas Liberals live in the Marxist environment where if you are conservative you are on the wrong side of history, the predestined progress that we will create and therefore that makes you an unredeemed oppressor who cannot be tolerated because you prevent progress.

Brian one thing that's important is that we remember as an American I vote in the support of the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights my interests are also dictated by my faith in God as Catholic my family and the support of my national family America! I have great respect for the Canadian Patriots in the North and support them I remember their example with a national trucking! They gave us a good example to follow! 🔥🤟🇺🇸 And the one thing to remember about us in the lower 48 and the other two states in our national laundry we are American not Canadian and we have American sensibilities not Canadian ones and you must remember that we are similar we are not the same!
Are you judging Trump on his behavior of 20+ years ago or within the past 10 years? Are you open to the possibility that he has largely amended his life since sacrificing his comfort for his country?
With regards to billionaires, I think that the problem with billionaires as a class is that elite social acceptability is based on maximizing class differentiation in the elites' favor and at the working/middle classes' expense. While it's very common for billionaires to seek to maximize elite social acceptability, however, some of them just don't seem to care. Trump and Musk, for instance, share some distinctly middlebrow interests -- like fast food and video game streaming -- with the working and middle classes. They're people who took the kinds of dreams a lot of working/middle class kids had when they were eight ("I'm gonna build a giant gold tower with my name on it!" "I'm gonna make a massive angular electric truck that can accelerate faster than a race car and drive itself!") and simply refused to accept anything short of accomplishing them. Working and middle class Americans, who would generally prefer to live as if there was no class divide, tend to find billionaires who lack interest in elite social acceptability attractive... both because it's actually possible to interact with them as human beings and because they're successful people who actually enjoy seeing other people succeed.
Thank you, Brian, for your thoughts. It is always great to get a perspective that is outside of the fishbowl that we Americans are in. Also, most of us don't listen to two years of ads or speeches; we tune them out, haha.
In Trump's case; his previous career moves were the overriding primary stances, as well as the fact that "Baby-murder Inc"/"Planned Parenthood" was advertising that they were scared of him- now anybody who knows the evil of that agency knows that anyone who they're opposed to we have a duty to support.
Well, that's politics for you. You aim for the ideal but it cannot be decoupled from pragmatism. You try to move in the right direction, but it's going to be a struggle. You'll get your hands dirty. A fellow Catholic here that attends the TLM regularly and did not have qualms voting for Trump. I'll take the good with the bad. I didn't vote for him in 2016 for reasons you outlined, but the man has learned discipline over the years--you can compare how he ran his campaign this time vs. the last two times. And it takes a certain type of courage on his part to keep campaigning despite the bogus indictments by his political rivals and 2 assassination attempts. Despite his foibles, the man does have a sincere love for his country, and people see that. Edit: Also, great channel. Praying for you in Canada.
In America we vote for the candidate we regard as the lesser evil. Seemed to me an obvious choice. Trump is not the second coming but he does appear to care about Americans and their interests. Kamala's platform was hating Trump and promoting abortion...and precious little else.
Only since about 2008 have American politics become so intense. Most of my life, your criticism of candidates in America would have been joined by people who were voting for them. The ascendancy of the hard Left and their insistence on the road to Communism orMarxism has been at least part of this phenomenon. There have been other influences and factors at work, but fear of living a Soviet life can make for intense actions. Also, many of us are still more like you than you know about.
Nothing that was said here was profound or interesting in the least. “We shouldn’t be so divided and accept others regardless of their politics”. Wow, great idea Einstein. Never heard that one before.
Judge them by their fruits. Trumps children seem to love their father even despite the divorces and affairs with other women. His children also don’t seem to have the vices that we attribute to the “elite” of the US. They have intact families who don’t write in their diaries that “papa got in the shower with me”. I live in a small community and I personally know the “elites” of my community and relationships with them. From that insight I’ve found that they are often times, if not most times, normal people who are “geniuses” in their own right. 2 or 3 generations back their family banded together to accomplish the businesses that are the foundation of their inter-generational wealth. Similarly, they tend to pass on the family values and Christian values they were the cornerstone to the original success. These families aren’t with out scandal or sin, but they are not without their hard earned merits. And as Trump said in his acceptance speech, we have to protect our geniuses. I think that families that have cracked the code are geniuses of a sort especially compared to families that don’t have their act together. Scripture tells us that poor is not better than rich just as rich is not better than poor.
What Trump taps into the most is the proper resentment people hold towards elitists who see themselves as the authors of all that will bring humanity to its ultimate perfection. The denial of original sin and the imperfectability of the human condition is an affront to Christianity even when those offended are not aware that this is what offends them.
Brian, you had some very interesting thoughts and I appreciate your opinion. While I am not sure that I agree that the United States is an Empire(though I understand your rationale in declaring it so), I do agree that we need all the prayers that we can get. I believe that one of the main reasons that President Trump was elected is because of a multitude of people in our nation repenting and praying. We still have a long way to go but I appreciate your prayers and I hope they all make a difference.
Please don’t think Americans don’t care what Canadians think; I think most of us actually value the view “from the outside.” Alternative perspectives are always valuable if you are actually interested in LEARNING.
I don’t care that Trump is rich. I'm sure that's nice for him and his family. I don't even care that he speaks rudely sometimes. Honestly, he just speaks like a New Yorker; he says what he wants without a filter, but he's genuine and authentic about it. But the main reason I voted for him was the economy, illegal immigration, national security, and ending wokeness. I cannot stand being pandered to. I cannot stand living next to the ridiculous border crisis, and i can't stand the cost of living. Trump has a good track record on all of this, so the choice was clear to me.

And understand that from my perspective we do not want our government to get "things done" like the Canadian government as institiated under Trudeau. The governement (we believe) should have a limited role in our society. The Marxists view the roll of government differently.
If you don’t like a certain person being president then that’s fine but it’s your opinion so obviously others should be able to express their opinions 💯
Brian, Well said. Aristotle is still a good teacher.
Of course we want Brian’s take.
Isn't it amazing how little allowance there can be for Christians to recognize the possibility of redemption in the lives of public individuals?
I'm open to the possibility but I don't see anything that points to much of a change.
That was pretty spot on.
Sounds about right Brian.
Good opinion Brian.
Thank you, Brian, for your thoughts. It is always great to get a perspective that is outside of the fishbowl that we Americans are in. Also, most of us don't listen to two years of ads or speeches; we tune them out, haha.
I'm 100% positive Josiah was yelling at the screen for most of this video
We faced voting for the lesser of two evils, Harris presented herself as anti Catholic more than once
In Trump's case; his previous career moves were the overriding primary stances, as well as the fact that "Baby-murder Inc"/"Planned Parenthood" was advertising that they were scared of him- now anybody who knows the evil of that agency knows that anyone who they're opposed to we have a duty to support.
Campaigning is the beginning of the fight. The fight is worth it.
A slight breeze on day in Butler Pensalvainia may have saved our republic and millions of lives worldwide. Thanks God.
Perogis and an 'Arn to celebrate
That breeze is the Holy Spirit.
Heh, I'm disappointed with both choices, but I voted based on what I believe is the party ideals that align with what I understand the Bible teaches.
You do have some good insights. Perhaps we can piece it together and come up with better ways of doing things.
I voted more for his Catholic Vice President than I did for Trump.
Therefore, you think it would have happened
LOL
Kids who have abusive parent/s, divorced parents, etc still have "love" for their "Errant" parents.
What Trump taps into the most is the proper resentment people hold towards elitists who see themselves as the authors of all that will bring humanity to its ultimate perfection. The denial of original sin and the imperfectability of the human condition is an affront to Christianity even when those offended are not aware that this is what offends them.
Canadians are Americans too! God bless you, Brian!
Maybe if you campaigned longer you wouldn't have ended up with Trudeau.
@@carolynkimberly4021 and we keep re-electing him! To our own great ruin. 🇨🇦
Please don’t think Americans don’t care what Canadians think; I think most of us actually value the view “from the outside.” Alternative perspectives are always valuable if you are actually interested in LEARNING.
So true! How much time, and $$$$ spent, and candidates not doing their job!
Trump is a patriot, Kamala Harris is not. At least Trump cares about the country and believes in america.
Save Canada, dump Trudeau and his cronies.
😊 we are a constitutional republic not a democracy. 😊
For the first time, I’m disappointed in your commentary. I don’t think you did your research. KH has always been a politician starting with her documented affair with Willie Brown, a prominent politician in California. JB has always been a politician and has held some type of office for as long as I can remember. DJT mother was a servant who happened to marry a real estate agent that made a good life for their children. If you watch the videos of him interact with people, he relates to them more than any politician I have ever seen. He has the hard work ethic of the middle class American.
