My dad's cousin is an editor of Pixar and at the end of the movie credits there is a big collage that all of the editors could upload a picture to of loved ones that have sadly left us, and his cousin submitted a picture of my great great grandmother and my uncle that sadly passed before I was born. The idea behind the collage is that all of the people in the pictures will always have a picture to be remembered by.
This is one of my favorite movies and it will always hold a special place in my heart.

I do not cry. Literally ever. I could not be contained by the end of this film. I didn’t understand why this one hit me so hard but you talked about an inner story and every part of it remind me of dad and losing him to cancer years ago. This story is amazing and it’s crazy how much it can bring up.

That last scene with mama coco 😭😭 Miguel saying “he loved you mama coco” 😭😭😭 KILLS ME. We watch this around Halloween every year and my dad died October 23rd. I had a complicated/strained relationship with him but I know he loved me with all his heart so this movie KILLS me everytime. My 6 year old is always like why does this movie make you cry so hard. 😂😭

Lost my Dad to Alzheimer's in 2018, when I watched this movie I was CRYING, first watched it a couple years ago. When Hector first sings the correct version of "Remember Me" to Miguel, I lost it. And then same at the end when Miguel sings it for Coco, was tearing up watching you react and still a little teary eyed too lol. And yeah, the very end where we see them crossing over a year later. Its a tough watch emotionally but so so so so so so so worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And it feels good to cry it out too!

Everything! From the music, to the twist villain executed flawlessly, to the beauty, to the Mexican culture being represented so beautifully, to Dante being his best Spirit Guide self. This movie is a masterpiece.
My family says it's slow at times. But it doesn't matter, they are showing the relationship between a kid and his great great grandfather growing and they don't even know the other is fanily. Going back and watching it with the knowledge that they are family adds so much sweetness to previous scenes. Like on stage when Miguel finishes his first actual performance on stage Hector saying, "I'm proud of you!" Has a whole new deepness to it. That alone can get me teary eyed at times.
This movie is an absolute beautiful masterpiece!

This film always makes me sob, like hysterical sobbing. I always think it’ll be better after he sings to Mama Coco to make her remember …… and then I see the part where she’s reunited with her parents and the waterworks start again 😭

*Out of the songs in this movie, my favorite is "Un Poco Loco", which translates to "a little crazy". Also, speaking as a Mexican-American, this movie is pretty factual to real-life preparations/mythos for El Dia De Los Muertos, or the Day Of The Dead. Especially with Dante's role. As a breed of dog called a Xoloitzquintli (zo-low-eats-queent-lee), he has a role of being a spirit guide through the afterlife.*

Im sorry to hear about your chihuahua. I understand what its like, i lost mine close to 10 years ago in a hit and run. Being from a mexican family we have him and his little collar on our ofrenda every year.
If i may make a suggestion, there was a grammys performance a few years back, three generations of female mexican singers singing La Llorona, which you heard in this movie. Three of the biggest names in mexican music with very different styles, I highly suggest reacting to it. Angela Aguilar, Natalia Lafourcade, and Aida Cuevas. Wonderful video regardless, I hope the pain of your loss fades but your memories dont, have a wonderful day.
