- I didn't know what to expect of Saudi Arabians before my first visit to the country in 2019. Shaped by the type of news stories that emerge and rules you hear about, I somehow expected a strict society.
What I encountered couldn't be further from the truth - I was welcomed warmly everywhere I went from Riyadh to Jeddah, Dammam & Al-Khobar to Ta'if. From being treated to tea and snacks, engaging in long conversations with strangers on the street, and even meeting up with a local female, I experienced the kindness and warmth of everyday people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

I have been fascinated to visit Saudi Arabia for a long time. I will definitely visit when we can travel again, but I can’t decide which city to visit first. Where would you recommend I get my first experience of Saudi Arabia? Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam?
I would say visit Riyadh, jeddah, abha, and hail or al Ola. Riyadh is the capital city and in few weeks there will be some new festivals and activities by the ministry of entertainment so yo might go there and jeddah is near the red see so the weather will be humid, abha is in the south of Saudi so the weather there will colder in comparison to Riyadh and jeddah. Lastly hail is in the north of Saudi there is a lot of historical places that you can visit there and people are well None for there hospitality in hail.

I encourage you to visit my friend, and there is a big variety that you can see cities, mountains, ocean, and desserts. I would highly recommend at a minimum Riyadh and Jeddah.
