Caiques are so random...I mean awesome!

these ciques are easy to read when they want to take a dump,usually they rise their feathers a bit lifts the tail some and shake before they poop,and some ppl have been able to potty train em..i would looove to have 2 .

Caiques are the most charming little parrots, I'm head over heels for my little guy. He makes my day, even though I sometimes just want to strangle him ;) But that's a part of living with parrots! haha.

we have three laptops in our house, and non has all their buttons...

We want to buy one but ppl say they are crazy!! They scream if you don't pay attention to them and go crazy in the cage? Plz if someone could tell me if they are like any other bird!! I work full time but he/she would be out after work and on wknds! I'd sure appreciate advice from Caique owners.

They are crazy but in a puppy way and yes they scream a lot if they dont have what they want and also most of them have beak grown problem

lovely. i'll pick up this week mine so wathced a lot of caiques on intenet lol. I got sun conure 2yo so I wonder how do get along each other :D probably battle every day in next few months.

not as Loud and they have a nice voice I suggest teaching it to whistle so it won't use it's loud screach

As long as you give them something to do and let them out or interact with them while you're home, not really. Lots of toys that they can destroy, but are safe, keep a bird happy. Look up foraging toys and parrot toys. Generally, the more toys the better. Just make sure any chains that toys are hanging by aren't going to get their toenails stuck in them. Always make sure that the toys are bird safe and they should be fine. Hope this helps.

Don't normally downvote but both the beak and claws are WAY too long, and there are easy fixes to this.

Bring to vet or pet shop. They can fix the long beak and nail issue. His feet are uncomfortable!

Those nails are so LONG! The least you can do is paint them a nice fire engine red (but use quick-dry polish!)
