- My long awaited van tour of my Transit Connect micro camper. Whilst fishing at Hayton Lakes I decided to record some footage of my van, finally showing my camper van build in a bit more detail. From camera mounts in the cab, to my bed and electrics in the back, I hope you enjoy.... Any questions just drop me a comment I'll do my best to answer :)

why haven't I watched this sooner some really good ideas with the van, one being that electric hook up cable with 3 sockets.
cracking video mate! and who knows one day I'll see you out and about in the van.
Glad you liked it, I watched quite a few RUclips videos before starting my van and took ideas from a few of them for my build. The electric hook up cable saves you having to wire anything in yourself as well, and I just send it out the window then just close it as much as you can without trapping it.

It’s great to be able to use it again now restrictions are slowly lifting, I just can’t wait till we are allowed away overnight in areas other than fishing 😎

Hello, I am over in the USA. I have a 2010 Transit Connect I am converting into a "Proper"little campervan. Cedar cladding is nearly done. I currently have a similar layout to yours but I picked up a 15 gallon water tank and if I switched to a westfalia style would be easy to hide the tank and still have a fair amount of storage and a bench seat that could be tilted back as far as you need to recline.(I have a crushed disk and pinched nerves so reclining is something I do a lot... that and smoke herb)
I thought about cladding mine but decided on the easier carpet haha
I carry a 10 litre jerry can for water, as I'm only out for around 2-4 days that isa ample amount. Sorry to hear of your back injury, so I don't blame you using some smoking pain relief haha.

@@MarkTayloroutdoors Oh yeah the cladding is a PITA but looks nice when its done! And I love the smell of cedar. Yeah the only a perk out of the situation is I can smoke legally... Well if it gets me out exploring some I will be happy...so much cool shit out there to see!

Just subscribed ive just built a small fishing van and so much easyer only done overnight sea fishing but will be trying a carp session soon
Saves loads of time with no bivvy or bed to set up, cooking area sorted and also so easy to pack everything back in the van again I love it.

Definitely want to do some touring while we still have some good weather so I can chill outside the van, when I went away earlier in the year it was either too cold and windy or just too wet to be able to sit out lol

Very nice van. Do you know how long the bed is? (or rather how tall are you!). Looks a decent choice for a microvan.
The bed is a full size single when the bed is fully pulled out, I just ordered a memory foam mattress from eBay and cut it up and got it upholstered. I’m really happy with the van, and you obviously need to stop for food and water more as it’s small but other than that I have no real problems

Made a good video bro, are the fish edible or mainly to release. Any plans for solar. Stay safe.
Whilst technically the fish are edible, most inland fishing in the uk is catch and release, I think trout is the only only one you catch to keep inland. I do have plans for solar at some point, not sure when though 😂

What is that front bull bar?
It’s not a real bull bar as such, not structural, it just bolts to the front under the bumper, if you search on eBay and just type ford transit connect bull bar it should come up👍🏻
