Loving this M4 repair build, its a cracking car and this is why this channel is liked so much by its channel followers being the variation of the vehicles they repair.
Hey Rob whenever you go out do you ever think how far along Chris will get and he's always done more than you expected. Think how much those F1 nose cones are then be grateful. Chris remembers Autoglass fitting laminated screens £100. extra If tinted.😊
Wow thanks Rob for mentioning Solderstick, never knew this existed. I do a lot of soldering wires with added shrink wrap, now I can do it easily with a one piece. Off to Amazon for this and a heat gun.
Hiya lads , iv been following you two for as far back as I can remember, I always said I would never ever buy a right off . But watching you Rob and Chris you are the only ones I would 100 percent buy from . You two should be so proud of what you 15:2615:26 have achieved . We all love your channel what a team 👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👍
Just thinking back 20 or 30 years and how complicated all this has become with computers and having to re-programme in all those bits and pieces - two gutsy guys !
I actually preferred Chris' non timelapse part! It's useful to see the tools and method he's using for that specific repair, which it quite difficult to see in a timelapse. Perhaps a hybrid of the both in some circumstances is a good shout? Keep up the good work 😊
the joys of owning a supercar. I still think there is gonna be a healthy profit in this car when it gets sold. Dare i say your biggest ever profit.? Good vid. Thanks very much.
This car would test anyone's patience and wallet but you guys are rocking it. It's unbelievable how complicated cars are nowadays and the parts prices are just silly, even for the small things. It will be nice when it's done 🙂👍🏻
Hello Rob and Chris, the progress on this BMW M4 so far is fantastic.its on its on wheels and driving in the yard.a few more things to do and will be looking smart.
Looking forward to seeing this one finished! Just a word of advice - check the windscreen is ok with the HUD if it’s not a BMW OEM screen…loads of examples of after market screen having blurred HUD’s. When completed and having a wheel alignment, the whole ADAS system will need to be properly recalibrated, especially as this car has the Driving Assistant Pro option. Alignment will need to be done with a Hunter system as that’s what BMW will use to get the best results.
The only way to go with a car like this that has so many sensors is to have a OEM windscreen. I agree, all the sensors that run through the front screen will need to be re set.
Perhaps you should stick to "bread & butter" motors and stop doing the glam crap, just a thought/saying. You are both clearly competent a doing any vehicle, why take the risks ? Is it really worth it ? Great job though guys, as usual. 👍
This series of videos has so far been brilliant, by far the best car you have had on the Chanel ,proves to me that you have both come a log way, I know the parts are going to come to a penny or two but be proud of what you have achieved so far ! Well done Fella’s
The crunch the numbers video will probably have to come with a health warning for anyone with a weak heart. And by the sounds of it be part of a 30 minute plus video. Great skills by Chris as usual, good waffle from Rob. Enjoy the rest of the weekend lads 👍
Bet there are plenty of these cars available to repair up and down the country. Fancied buying one a year ago, but so many of them have ended up on the wrong side of hedges because so many of them are stolen. You guys are doing a great job repairing this bad boy.
It’s a measure of how good your channel is that I’ve watched almost all of your videos since I first started watching a few years back, you go from strength to strength and long may it continue, thank you both 👍👍👍👍
Once again, it’s the beautiful way you work together is what I most enjoy. Your workshop is calm and harmonious as you seamlessly achieve excellent results. Cheers from Brisbane Australia.
Top workmanship as always lads, enjoyed watching Chris pull that inner wing / arch out with all kinds of tools before getting to the hammer and dolly. Perfect repair on something that most would only tweak till the bracket lines back up tbh. Cheers for the content.
but there is a difference ! 🤔 fitters/plumbers stilsons then panel beaters stilsons difference is in the price mine are all panelbeaters stilsons coz cheaper but they bend when i have them on a 3 inch knuckle 🤥
You still have the drivers side rear quarter to fix and a lot of other work to do but should be worth it. It will be a nice car for the next owner for a reasonable price. Chris's tin knocking skills are artistry. Rob, you do plenty too finding good vendors for parts and specialized services like for the glass, paint, electronics resetting as well as taking and putting together a lot of mechanical and electrical stuff.
Between the last video of you fitting the dash back in and today, the headlight. Chris then did his repairs, showing what both skills you both bring together on the work you do. 😊 l loved the use of the stilsons Chris used to straighten out meatless work thanks for the video lads😊
Hi Rob and Chris, Getting there now guys, just crazy.. fans in headlight, big numbers for any part.! I’m not a big BMW fan, but… have to say this looks very, very nice with lovely finish and spec. Looking forward to the road test of this one. Alex.
Really looking forward to the final video on the Beamer, what a beautiful car and the you guys have bought it back from its crashed state! Loved every minute of the repair process and the banter between you guys over the cost of parts was priceless as usual, I just hope it turns out to be a goodan Rob.
Great work and content guys. The SR71 Blackbird had some generator failure issues in flight, which they couldn't diagnose until a technician worked out that the soldering on the wiring was melting from the heat in flight and then solidifying when back down on the ground! I know this is a quick car, so make sure your soldering is top notch ok ☺️
Getting there….😊 How you explained that transmission selector….. I’ll never understand how car makers have the lever to go forward for reverse and backwards for forwards…? When you get the boat on the go that will make sense as forward is forwards and vice versa … logical…😊
A bit of bodywork to do on the quarter panel and it will be ready for paint. Well done to Chris with the inner wing straightening and of course not forgetting those brackets. I laughed with you at the paint colour but when the wing was on the car you could see the difference. Great video Rob and Chris, have a good weekend. 👍👍
thankyou gentlemen, its been a fantastic project,,the numbers crunch is going to be quite a shock for sure, but well done youve really done some impressive repairs here, but then you always do,,,👌👍
Hello Chris & Rob, I have to say that in some situations, it is not what you know, BUT, who you know, a great group of specialists give you the support required to get the job done - properly!! I am totally shocked at the prices - including VAT, that you have to pay for the replacement parts!! Those solder connections are brilliant!! Looking forwards to seeing the next / last video. Best wishes from Lincolnshire
Great video, I thought prices for it would be steep, but I would never have thought over £900 for the air intake. I enjoyed Chris's inner wing repair without the timelapse he did sterling work, as always. 👍
Nice job guys, so is it a Rob's car or Chris's😉. I love how Chris sat in the chair resting his wallet from the parts prices. Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys...👍
Those soldering sticks are a big time saver such a simple idea its certainly coming together now i do also hate the new grills but a lovely car keep up the excellent work chris & rob 👍👍👍
don't forget you will need to do an ADAS alignment on the windscreen camera + reprogram /alignment on the new radar unit, + keep the print-off as proof for the new customer, it's a £300 charge to insurance companies for that service, each time these parts are disturbed in a bodyshop repair, just another thing that increases your insurance premiums... keep it up chaps
My neighbour has the same car . The front spoiler is held up with gaffer tape the wheels are kerbed to death. He's probably quotes and thought sod that. His previous car a M5 competition was written off by cracking the sump on a speed bump thus losing oil and seizing the engine.
Man the primer grey is funny, I always wondered why people get such fun cars in drab colors but it’s all a preference especially with modern design. She’s really shaping up I think total will be a bargain of £31,479.82
When you do a car like this you should raffle it off like they do on other channel’s and you will definitely make your money as you have so many subscribers that would buy tickets. Just a thought.
Despite all your brilliant work it’s hard not to picture the day when this incredible car will be condemned to be scrapped because a future owner won’t be able to afford some hugely expensive part or be able to figure out some mind bogglingly complex fault.
Superb video gents.Rob correct me if I am wrong but I am under the impression that chris is going to keep this beast as soon as its repaired. He has sold his a6 estate already.

Amazing how pleasing it is to watch a craftsman working away quietly, with no voice overs and no silly background music.
There is something therapeutic about watching a craftsman working away on his own with no background music. Top work gents
Was funny hearing Chris say “Bugger” he even keeps his cool when annoyed.
First class Salvage Rebuilds as usual 👍👊😉
Headlights that need programming - I've never felt so old!!
Having to PROGRAM a headlight! what has the world come too 😱😱🤣🤣
Loving this M4 repair build, its a cracking car and this is why this channel is liked so much by its channel followers being the variation of the vehicles they repair.
Really enjoyed watching Chris at normal speed. Very enlightening. But fans in headlights? Seriously? Madness!
I loved the way the tools Chris was using got bigger and bigger as he went on 😂
£350 for a windscreen direct from BMW? I’ve just been quoted £2095 from autoglass for one for my 2022 420d Coupe!!!!!
What a complex car, I’d be sitting with a supply of Prozac if I’d to work on it , great post guys
Lovely to see it outside on its 4 corners.
Hey Rob whenever you go out do you ever think how far along Chris will get and he's always done more than you expected. Think how much those F1 nose cones are then be grateful.
Chris remembers Autoglass fitting laminated screens £100. extra If tinted.😊
Chris is a top class craftsman , so good to watch him work, see the tools he uses , thank you.
Wow thanks Rob for mentioning Solderstick, never knew this existed. I do a lot of soldering wires with added shrink wrap, now I can do it easily with a one piece. Off to Amazon for this and a heat gun.
I found out about this in an older video. You won’t regret the purchase
Nice to see Jurijus working on your car he is the man for codings on bmw.
18" Stillsons - a man of my own heart...
Hiya lads , iv been following you two for as far back as I can remember, I always said I would never ever buy a right off . Just thinking back 20 or 30 years and how complicated all this has become with computers and having to re-programme in all those bits and pieces - two gutsy guys !
Really good to see Chris in more detail. Goes to show how much time and work goes into fixing these cars properly
I actually preferred Chris' non timelapse part! It's useful to see the tools and method he's using for that specific repair, which it quite difficult to see in a timelapse.
Perhaps a hybrid of the both in some circumstances is a good shout?
Keep up the good work 😊

I find it amazing that someone would spend all that money on a car and choose to have it in primer grey
Mazda do it as well. Works on some 3s
That bit with Chris and the wheel arch is the definition of fettling!
Hello Rob and Chris, the progress on this BMW M4 so far is fantastic.its on its on wheels and driving in the yard.a few more things to do and will be looking smart.
I made a 5.1 Sub and Sats speaker setup 20+ years ago. I left them primer grey as they looked really good with that semi sheen.
Great video! Love the word “chomped” done my fair share of chomped wire repairs!
can tell Rob gets well excited with this I can see it being his for a good few months 😅 what a car!
You two make repairing cars look so easy that is how well you do the work on them just brilliant 👏👏👏👏
Lovely to see Chris work his magic
Brilliant video Chris and his perfection well done guy's and Rob well done to you for all the running around getting bit's 👍

Might be why they bought a genuine one then
@@andyfield6854 I must have missed that watching - didn’t hear them say it 👍🏼
The only way to go with a car like this that has so many sensors is to have a OEM windscreen. I agree, all the sensors that run through the front screen will need to be re set.
Looking forward to the magic on the rear quarter. Love to see a flush patch job.
Thanks for your time and consideration lads very much appreciated top job top team awesome 😎🇬🇧
Just 249 miles on a full tank though....ouch. great work from chris
Perhaps you should stick to "bread & butter" motors and stop doing the glam crap, just a thought/saying. You are both clearly competent a doing any vehicle, why take the risks ? Is it really worth it ? Great job though guys, as usual. 👍
this car i thought was good for the channel and more interest than a fiat 500 and also remember they do get paid from youtube so its a win win.
That's what I thought as well I think Rob will keep it 😅
Poor Chris, those prices are hurting...you can see it in his face!!! Great series guys.
This series of videos has so far been brilliant, by far the best car you have had on the Chanel ,proves to me that you have both come a log way, I know the parts are going to come to a penny or two but be proud of what you have achieved so far !
Well done Fella’s
When you and Chris the master repair a car they are as good if not better than factory i would not hesitate to buy a car for you
Chris has all the gear and all the ideas. Absolutely brilliant. Great video as always chaps.
The crunch the numbers video will probably have to come with a health warning for anyone with a weak heart. And by the sounds of it be part of a 30 minute plus video. Great skills by Chris as usual, good waffle from Rob. Enjoy the rest of the weekend lads 👍
I enjoyed seeing the repair Chris did live for once.
Bet there are plenty of these cars available to repair up and down the country.
Fancied buying one a year ago, but so many of them have ended up on the wrong side of hedges because so many of them are stolen.
You guys are doing a great job repairing this bad boy.
Enjoyed Chris doing what he does best...And no time lapse...Excellant guys...
Those front grills were for the asian market. They're hideous but affected all luxe marques. Cracking on nicely. Someones going to get a lovely car.
It’s a measure of how good your channel is that I’ve watched almost all of your videos since I first started watching a few years back, you go from strength to strength and long may it continue, thank you both 👍👍👍👍

As a plumber it's nice to see stilsons have a use for car repair.
I've been a mechanic for 30 years and you'd be surprised at the different assortment of things that get used in addition to the conventional tools!
but there is a difference ! 🤔 fitters/plumbers stilsons then panel beaters stilsons difference is in the price mine are all panelbeaters stilsons coz cheaper but they bend when i have them on a 3 inch knuckle
🤥
Fantastic work as usual. You're rebuilding this quicker than Arnold Clark can replace a faulty reversing camera on my car!
You still have the drivers side rear quarter to fix and a lot of other work to do but should be worth it. It will be a nice car for the next owner for a reasonable price. Chris's tin knocking skills are artistry. Really nice work gentlemen, congratulations on sorting that one out so quickly, well done, and thank you.
Amazes me how many parts need coding on cars now… also amazes me how Chris knows where to pull the metal back to…. So skilful!
Between the last video of you fitting the dash back in and today, the headlight. Chris then did his repairs, showing what both skills you both bring together on the work you do. 😊 l loved the use of the stilsons Chris used to straighten out meatless work thanks for the video lads😊
I like the way Chris used a door hinge with the stillstons, will be agreat car again, well done guys and thanks😊😊😊😊
Watching your uploads is far too addictive - thank you for sharing what you do.

I believe the windscreen for a BMW with head up display is more expensive. So based on that the price seems reasonable.
If you guys don’t make £10k profit out of this car when completed then something is very wrong,Nice One Chaps 👍😉💪
ABSOLUTELY
Great work and content guys. Brilliant video guys, looking forward to it finished and crunching those probably large numbers ! 👍

Just what I need on a Saturday afternoon, Cup of tea in bed with Covid, Great video as always 😁👍
Nice job guys, so is it a Rob's car or Chris's😉. I love how Chris sat in the chair resting his wallet from the parts prices. Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys...👍
Fan-cooled headlights?? Where will the lunacy end? How much does a headlight assembly cost?
Great work it may cost a fortune but hopefully be good profit guys.
Great to watch Chris tackling the metalwork 👌. Are you not repairing the rear quarter before paint? Surely an entire video on that please 👍👍
Those soldering sticks are a big time saver such a simple idea its certainly coming together now i do also hate the new grills but a lovely car keep up the excellent work chris & rob 👍👍👍
and BMW must approve. the adds in your video were for a very similar looking i5
Really can't wait to see it back on the road some power that car will have 👌👌👌
Coming together, lads, Chris suits that car !
don't forget you will need to do an ADAS alignment on the windscreen camera + reprogram /alignment on the new radar unit, + keep the print-off as proof for the new customer, it's a £300 charge to insurance companies for that service, each time these parts are disturbed in a bodyshop repair, just another thing that increases your insurance premiums... keep it up chaps
900 F'n quid for a carbon intake scoop!!!! I would charge half that for a one of custom!
I absolutely love this car it’s a right weapon ur both doing an amazing job I can’t wait for this one to be completed 👍🏻 well dune guys
Car looks fantastic. It's amazing how easy you guys make this look.
Am I the only one who gets a RUclips advert for BMW though the video?
Nope I did aswell for the i5 and I must say it looks crap so that didn't really go to plan for BMW 😂😂
Getting good at airbag kits naw,,,,fair play,,,surprisingly quick turn around too,,,well done you two 👊
Cup of coffee a biscuit and watching you guys that's a great Saturday afternoon 👍🏻
My neighbour has the same car . The front spoiler is held up with gaffer tape the wheels are kerbed to death. He's probably quotes and thought sod that. His previous car a M5 competition was written off by cracking the sump on a speed bump thus losing oil and seizing the engine.
Good old Tyler love his old man he's a diamond 🔹
Smashing it out the park, lads. Really enjoying this series, shame it's coming to an end. Keep up the good work 😊👍
It's so good to see professionals who take a pride in their work instead of rip off merchants trying to make a fast buck out of unsuspecting folk...
You know your good at your job when you make it look easy lads! Always top class videos 🤙🏻
Man the primer grey is funny, I always wondered why people get such fun cars in drab colors but it’s all a preference especially with modern design. She’s really shaping up I think total will be a bargain of £31,479.82
Whoever invented the solder connector is a legend 👌🏻
They've been about for years, but at rather a premium price.
Love watching these guys cant stand BMW but still amazing video very informative brill videos
Those prices are crazy
Think we need a 500 or a fiesta rebuild again soon
When you do a car like this you should raffle it off like they do on other channel’s and you will definitely make your money as you have so many subscribers that would buy tickets. Just a thought.
Despite all your brilliant work it’s hard not to picture the day when this incredible car will be condemned to be scrapped because a future owner won’t be able to afford some hugely expensive part or be able to figure out some mind bogglingly complex fault.
Amazing job so far boys. I think the windscreen was very cheap for an original BMW part.
them solder sticks look brilliant don't do much electrical but will use them in future
Superb video gents.Rob correct me if I am wrong but I am under the impression that chris is going to keep this beast as soon as its repaired. He has sold his a6 estate already.
Didn't think of that. I was thinking however maybe Chris was going to have the Volvo but the m4 would also make sense
FYI If your running on low fuel then it cuts power!! Will help you down the line if its not running full power!
