      @@bigbrucebikes you're welcome. Bruce. it is also worth noting that what I liked about this video is that it focused on the method of attachment as this is often a better predictor of the suitability than the brand. are there such videos covering, for example, bicycle front lights? a stem mounted light would be ideal and not take much space from the precious handlebar (as most lights foolishly do). i would be interested in your opinion on this and in seeing a video like this as I think it would make a lot of sense and would target a much bigger audience than just those using gps computers.

    Great Video👍 I have been using the K-Edge Aero Mount for my Element Roam. Was super easy to install and has solid, comfortable attachment to the handle bars.

      Thanks, K-edge is such a great design. It's far from basic.

    Nice video, subscribed, just fyi the stem mount you mounted incorrectly, the zip ties go one below the other not shaped like an X, it's supposed to be like an = sign for stability's sake. Cheers

    I was hoping to see the CM06 combi mount, as I want to mount my go pro too. Never mind, I enjoyed your vid, and learned what not to go for, at least. Thanks.

    Exactly the test i was looking for. Great Video to see different mounting options for Wahoo Element.
    I also look for a mount which does not interfere with the handlebarbag and is mounted above the stem.
    Thanks! Keep up your work :)

    cut a pice of rubber from an old tube and put it between the mount and the stem to avoid movement.

    Just came across this video. I have the out front bike computer combo on all my bikes. The metal shattered going down a hill and went flying across the road. The garmin edge 1030 was slightly cracked in the body and scratched the screen. Luckily the software wasn't damaged. Can't trust them after that. It might happen again. I've reverted back to the original holder like the first aero mount in the video. I like it less but bike computers are far from cheap

    I have a very short stem. I know you like the kedge but would you go with the f3 if you had a short stem?
    I’m worried the kedge will hit or interfere with my bars. Thanks. This was great

    • @bigbrucebikes
      @bigbrucebikes  Год назад +1

      The f3 is a nice design but I’m not a fan of the plastic construction.

    • @pgreenx
      @pgreenx Год назад +1

      @@bigbrucebikes I just spoke to them and they said it’s not plastic it’s some form of carbon but more importantly The arms are overmolded over a carefully designed stainless steel insert for the stem to mount to bolt connection.

    • @bigbrucebikes
      @bigbrucebikes  Год назад

      I stand corrected, thanks for reaching out to them for that information. Maybe I’ll review them in more detail. Just to address your earlier question, yes the front of the kedge does hit the stem/handle bars on shorter stems. Even long stems with higher degree angles. I also use the kedge on my MTB, which has a short stem, so I had put the kedge in my vice and with a few medium taps with the rubber mallet and I was good to go.

      The name of the brand is Best Tek, it was just an articulating mount that I found on Amazon. K-edge does make an nice articulating stem mount that actually works. Here is the link

      Those are the 60cm Curve Walmer Bars. They are aluminum and if I’m not mistaken they are the widest drop bars on the market.
      Check them out.
