She stood on the Effel tower under a one hundred foot Olympics sign and infront of 2 billion people. She united everyone around the world in a single universal flow of loving emotions. Celine must be honored as one of the greatest Canadians of our generation and one of the best signers of all time.
I love this version. Interesting that she sang in the key of F, the Piaf original is in E flat. Her vocals were stunning, and when you consider what she has been through and is still struggling with health wise. The orchestra was out of this world. I was also really interested that she finished the song on an A, rather than returning to F. What a beautiful, haunting and moving experience. Thank you for posting 🙂
How I wish I could understand music like that. I just love the sound of her voice and her stage presence... she's such a diva😍
