Totally agree, never enough of these games. Unfortunately they can't replicate the greatness, or choose not to.Thankfully we can still play these classics.
@@cameronknapp7315 Their days as king are long over, they are more focused on pachinko games and occasionally outsourcing their IP's to other companies (Getsu Fuma Den recently comes to mind), and no longer use their best IP's, or come up with fresh ideas. Face facts, the Konami of old, is DEAD, all their talent they had during their heyday, all long gone from the company. You are grasping at a dead company walking.
I'd rather my Saturn versions, the music is unaltered in all the games for the series there. I have the PSP collection as well, pissed me off that some songs were changed, including one on Sexy where the first stages song was changed into pretty much the exact same song, though with a different sound to it.
All I want to know is what the dude in the background is saying. Probably some one liners or jokes for the mood, if that's the case, then maaaan we're missing out a bunch :/
Sometimes he's telling you to watch out for certain things, that's what I've heard and read about anyways. There's also a female announcer in the PS1 and Saturn versions who is player 2's announcer, and I think they interact between one another. The male announcer has done quite a few anime voiceovers over the years, I believe the female announcer has as well.
Choo choo you sounded like a train OK so who has Shiny quils has a head has the arms white gloves I have high tops it looks like a train and it blows the whistle I think I know what it is It’s sonic train wait a minute what do you mean hedge train sonic look favorite kind a looks like me so that’s why who has a whistle and the shoes for the legs in the hands is for the gloves and the shiny quails now we figure it out it was the sonic train we got to stop The train is gone but now it’s somewhere by train world we better go find it do you see it not yet nope not a thing where kidding mischief trained me come on we have to find it nope he’s not here he’s not a train station either oh no where can it be you guys how to go see it where there right there get it no it’s getting away again come on we have I think we found a train oh there it is
Man. Konami and Taito used to rule this genre. They were like kings among commoners. I will forever say we need more of these types of games.
Toaplan has a spot in there too, they were king of vertical shmups, funny enough Taito put some of Toaplan's stuff out in arcades for them.

the 'wrong title screen shoutout' gag cracks me up every time. :P probably my favorite parodius game!
Possibly one of the best parodius ever. back when konami was king and not the bullshit company of nowadays
Konami is not a bullshit company!
Konami still is king 👑.
I want to believe that... But... All the games they forgotten through the time... As a Gradius Fan i am so disappointed...

@@Bloodreign1 I wish Konami would come back.
Parodius is easily one of my favorite game series!
Parodius collection is why I will never get rid of my PSP

49:36 Bro is wearing a Salvation Army Bucket on his head.💀💀💀💀
00:49:19 Is this penguin wearing a Salvation Army bucket on his head?
Bring back the "Old Japanese man yells at you while you play" subgenre of shooters.
The Parodius series had some awesome soundtrack, which is why it's totally annoying how the player kept the upgrade gauge on roulette.
I love the song for the school stage
50:28 omae wa mo shindeiru
“You are already dead.”
“Just kidding hehehe!”
r.i.p jouji yanami…
Also the opening made me think of pc engine CD openings
26:13 Was Hikaru an illusion? (Hence her disappearing)
Anyone else notice that the music in one of the stages sounds like KC and the Sunshine Band - That's the way i like it
That's because it is.
I also heard A Lover's Concerto
Love this game
Now have this on SFC, PSP, PS1, and Saturn, that wraps up this particular games ports basically.
Was the Narrator voiced by Jouji Yanami? It sounded like him.
The one and only :)
Yes, and his partner in crime, Noriko Ohara, also from Time Bokan, voiced the second players announcer.
Even the intro has an obvious reference in it
Which one?
I swear this series is a parody of japan

Hopefully someone makes a translation patch of this

Keep waiting
Wow, the intro resembles Star Trek
how the mighty have fallen :(
wonder how long untill this becomes a pachinko?
#Fuckonami
krystalfan say "f*** konami" again
I freaking dare you
MeowCat171 what are you to do? You can't do shit! you're too pathetic and lazy to even move....
sorry but its the rules.....if you bring up the company you NEED to bring up the hashtag
Funny enough. The first Parodius pachinko dates back to the year 2000
Konami. I think that game parodius mocking gradius on a ripoff game show.
So memories this flashback.
They ruined the Omae wa mo Shindeiru joke. The phrase should come before the penguin explodes, and not while he's exploding. Damn...
I think they used the "Omae wa miu Shindeiru" before it was a meme
It’s been said before other bosses exploded, just not that one.
shirtless koopa troopa! in jikkyou oshaberi parodius
mega drive vectorman a koopa's revenge
57:44
Музыка опупительная!
Different than on snes or saturn
Saturn version is pretty much the same, outside of the accident stages, and the Omake stage.
gameboy happy three friends
Boss rush
Ps1 version the best , snes and saturn are bad ❤
