@@Narcrate140 I'm working on it now. The detail is really, really good. However, the road wheels and tracks were a complete bear to cut, clean, sand, prime, paint, assemble, weather, etc... Overall everything fit together very well. It's just a LOT of clean-up work. For the price of the kit, I think it's a good value. I'd give it 4 stars. I withhold 1star because of how much clean-up work is required with Das Werk kits.
The person who told you that there were red fire extinguishers was sadly mistaken. In hundreds of original WWII colour photographs and surviving relics, they've never been seen. Original documents state that they were only available in camouflage colours (panzer grey, yellow, etc.). Now the fire extinguishers mounted inside the vehicle are a different story...but they were an apple green, not red. Just my two cents....great build, Andy!
@@stevepringle2295 No, those red ones are just repainted examples. Restored vehicles are not appropriate reference as museums get stuff wrong all the time. Remember Bovington's Blue Caunter scheme? That mislead modelers for decades because they admitted it was fiction. Original condition wartime relics, documents, and surviving colour (not colourized) photos are reputable.
Very true Mr. Panzermeister! I've done some research on the subject, fire extinguishers, on military vehicles and they were grey and never red. I thought I'd put my three cents in also. Kudos...
Thank you , I have always painted body color , and will repaint it to to Dark Yellow ... it looked cool in red but I thought it stuck out a bit much lol. Thanks
Great job Andy , love the way you ''rusted'' the spare tracks . those accessories look brilliant too . it all brings the Stug totally to life . another great video 👍
its a weird thing watching this as a 1/35 nut as you forget its a bigger scale so the mud and some of the weathering looks really odd when it goes on but looks great at the end. I think mine will end up looking similar to yours - i like the nice light Kursk mud tone, layers of wet and dry, different tones etc. I'd have gone a bit darker i think and drybrushed the tyre rims to bring them out a bit, but i think we're more or less on the same page on how this needs to look. Nice job mate.
Nice camo skills..! That sort of airflow control takes time and touch! Must admit, I was worried when the mud was going on, but you reigned the whole thing in and it hangs together well as a finished model. I'm sure a lot of people will love this kit. Think I'd better crack out one of my Panzer 1 kits first though, even those are big - but 15 inches of Stug III [inc barrel] I seems pretty damned huge right now.
Great work! My only fear is if I start building everything in 16th scale, I will need a bigger space to display it all. Maybe you should do a video on home renovations for modelers….
Nice build...have mine on pre order. Definitely will be looking at those after market accessories. I have the Classy Hobby Stuart and I am hoping there will be generic pieces.
Hi Andy, it looks like a very nice kit to build and paint. And a really nice job of you. But the weathering seema a bit inconsistent to me. The heavy mud deposit on the lower hull on an otherwise very clean model (even the tracks). It just seems unfinished somehow.. but it might be just me...
I'm sure the road wheels would carry some mud considering the amount of mud on the hull, also the rear plate of the vehicle particularly near the idler is too clean there is no build up of mud at all
Great looking finish in the end. Can't wait to get mine to build. A couple of questions. Did you leave the top of the fighting compartment loose, so that it could be removed to display the interior? Plus I see that you painted the radios white, the same as the interior. Wouldn't these be a different colour, green maybe?
Great build and paint, as usual. Something I forgot to ask about the build- I saw some extra interior flanges that didn't seem to do anything; does that hint at a planned full interior?
Excellent work! 👍 I MIGHT build one of these but not a priority. Too big to be practical and soooo time consuming. Great for those who want to super detail these kits, you can check out groups dedicated to this scale on Facebook.
Great Video. I Love those 1/16 Models. And for that Price. With great interior.. Ithink i will buy it greetings from Germany and keep on with those great videos
The finished model looks really good, love the addition packs but the sound went off so how much will they cost and can I get them from you for the UK, just love this scale, many thanks and look forward to more of the same 👍
Watching the mud being applied to the vehicle I could not help but think of the hours I spent at the wash rack trying to get the mud off of my tank. At Ft Hood there is a lot of what we called "Gumbo" .. the tracks would churn dirt and clay into an evil mix that was really hard to remove even with pressure.
Your STUG looks great, however I would like to see some mud and grime on the drive sprockets and road wheels, they look too clean - perhaps some grass in the drive sprocket - More Mud effects would look great on the lower tracks .
Hey Andy i der you paint this armor with Ammo. Do you have any advice for me? I always have e dry tip with these Paints. I spray at 1,5 bar. I dilute the Paint about 30% and my needle is 0.4 MM. And still i have dry tips
The machine gun is supposed to go through the hole in the plate, not on the top edge. And a fire extinguisher on a camouflaged tank certainly wasn't painted red, on german tanks in ww2 they were dark grey at first, later dark yellow - basically the same as the rest of the tank.
The MG shield on the Stug. had two location points for the MG one at the top of the shield for anti aircraft purposes and the one that you usually see being used in the centre of the shield
The end product looks fantastic.
This was really a great build. I'm very much looking forward to getting mine in December.
hows the model?

So beautiful, I wish I could hold this tank in my hand, and take a look at every inch of its detail.
Great detail in paint.
Very interesting video Andy some great ideas for weathering great looking model and some good after market ideas Steve
Last week I ordered some modeling stuff from these guys on a Friday and by Tuesday it was as my house! Great company!!!! Great videos as well!!!!
Gotta love those assessories.

That is not true. They’re several surviving examples of red, grey, dark yellow, greens and ever paint could be found at the moment.

Are we going to see THE panzermeister build of this beast?
Super fun build and paint !!
Beautifully done Andy.
Great build Andy though I'm not sure about the red extinguisher
It's big, it's cool but what I really want is a 1/16 T-72 or T-90A lol. Good work as always Andy.
Looks good, Andy! I'd still like to see a schurzen kit for the model.
Just ordered this from your shop. Looking forward to build it. Will definitely follow your tips !
Awesome! Thank you!
I found this channel and I am so happy I did - each build or info vid is great! Thank you for sharing your passion for the hobby!
That is very cool. The accessories, with a couple of figures, would be awesome additions. Well done!
Excellent build , looks like a really detailed kit that can be enhanced with the accessories. Very well done.
looking forward to getting mine
Outstanding, build and presentation.
Great job Andy , love the way you ''rusted'' the spare tracks . those accessories look brilliant too . it all brings the Stug totally to life . another great video 👍
Andy...you are a Master Modeler!
Wow great as always Andy. I’ve got those two figures for mine.
I would like to se the weathering on the underside of the veichle. How you build up mud and so on. And great job Andy. Its looking good.

Te está quedando muy bien tío
Very nice work.
Great video, should be very helpful when I build mine. I do wish you'd done some video showing painting the interior.
Can’t wait for this kit.
Great tips, love the weathered look, enjoy putting it on and making the realism transformation 👌🏻
Great work. Really fun to watch.

Either build another level to your house of dig a real Man cave/basement. :)
The discussion of where I could put the Border/WNW 1/32 Lancaster did not go well.
I know I reside in a 1 bed flat 😱😱😱😱
Charge on Andy
Very cool !!!
Go Andy Go
Love ur Videos builds , pairing and news!!!
Cheers !!!
Awesome work!
I was waiting for this video! such a great job, well done Andy!
Hi Andy, from Thailand here. Would love to see your hand brush camouflage. I have airbrushes but find using my hands and brushes very satisfying
at 10:13 in there seems to be a bit missing? The piece was going to dry and then . . "and we can put that on . . . " ?? :) what is THAT?
I wondered about that too, it looks like MIG 040 Medium Rust but then he uses enamel thinner.
Nicely done. FYI, Stug crew wore different uniforms than those of the figure kits. Value gear stuff is excellent!
Yay!!!!! Andy is back on the tools!!!
This is such a great reference video. Thanks for uploading!
The real question is will this fit in your 16x12x8 shipping boxes? Those are my cats favorite size. Nice build too!
lol
Great vid Andy....................... 👍👍👍

Looks amazing!!!
gorgeous!
22:44 wow!
When is the Value gear going to be released??
Fantastic
@Andy, love the new haircut.
Nice paintjob on the tank too
Great model and painting 🙂!!!
Is there grenades for the launcher tubes? That would be a nice touch..

Nice Paint & weathering, but do not understand the Brown chipping - the vehicle is not brown anywhere ?
its beautiful
Eine kleine Sturmgeschützmusik
Nice work Andy. :-)

Andy whats youre pressure use en the sice of the needle pls
I’ll be keeping mine factory fresh. It’s too nice to muddy up 😆
Nice work Andy! What airbrush do you use in the video?
Judging from the name visible on its side its iwata eclipse hp-cs :)
That's what I was going to say ,they are more expensive then a badger but way nicer ,worth ever penny ,a life time investment
look increadible

what paints ?
Hi Andy! Top work, but: fire extinguishers weren't red on german tanks!!! Greetz from germany
Is there a way to get 1/16 76 Sherman Jumbo with Muzzle brake and what brand would it be for plastic model?
So this is the first 1/16 kit from Das Werk
Be nice if they make more 1/16 like trucks 1/2 tracks
what about the interior of the stug?
Pretty sure Stug crews wore different uniforms. They didn’t wear panzer tanker unis. I could be wrong. Nice build tho Andy
You are correct
Why the dark color above the light grey for edges? It should be the other way around.
Hey Andy i der you paint this armor with Ammo. Do you have any advice for me? I always have e dry tip with these Paints. I spray at 1,5 bar. I dilute the Paint about 30% and my needle is 0.4 MM. And still i have dry tips
I'd have thought rusty, muddy water would run down from behind the idlers?
Muddy hull with clean wheels does not look so convincing to me...imho you stopped in the middle weathering process
Hi andy sure you probably know but tamiya is releasing the U. S hellcat one of the best tank destroys looking forward to your review.
Yes they have contacted me and said I will have a sample soon
Nice build . No doubt over here in ENGLAND that kit would cost over 100 pounds to buy .
I haven't looked properly but a couple of places have it for £120.
Hy Andy can you give thr color numbers pls its going fast on the video.
Thx and greetings from belgium and also thx 4 the great bild.
Where can i get those stowage sets ?
we will have them on our website andyshhq.com very soon
@@AndysHobbyHeadquarters ok thank you
Will be nice if you could put the colors from tamiya so i could order from your web page. Thx
1/16 is better for us people with older eyes and hands =^P
the fire extinguisher was never red :) in original color, was grey or green or overpainted with the vehicle color
BIGGER IS BETTER!!!
Muyy friends...Tonight we find out Andy watches Night Shift...
I thought all tread head did...!

yes, there are two mounting positions.
Is many modellers love 1/16? Or hate it?
It's a different style for sure. Maybe people might hate it because they don't have the space to store such large completed models.
I Love it
Id like to see the figures...been looking online....but not great ones...
Except SOL...has female tank figures
Good video but the music is too LOUD!
Use the volume knob :)
@@randomnickify I want to hear what he is saying so I have to listen to the overly loud music too.Why have the music so loud in the first place eh.
