Plastering 20 years I'm only 35..but hands down credit where credits due in my opinion you're the best of these plasterers on RUclips...you have a lovely way of skimming those little flicks and wrist action are tops. All the best from a fellow spread across the pond 🇮🇪🇮🇪

Ain’t that standard for a plasterer? What do you do if you’ve not learned in 20 years omg, kurt. If you read this don’t ever bring anyone like this on any of my properties. I think he’s put years instead of days mate

Yeah kurts videos and work. Is very decent and high standard. Much better than other plasterers on RUclips. There another good plaster. Irish guy called macs plastering. His works lovely aswell. And he can use a trowel well. I’ve been spreading for nearly 18 years now. And kurts work is very good. The others on RUclips are more general builders

Loved every minute of that, cheers fella. Started a 5 year apprenticeship in 1975 and went self employed in 1980. Turned 65 last Monday and still plastering. Mix my own stuff and wash the gear out. Watching you plastering was like watching a video of myself, absolutely uncanny. I'm guessing you were taught by someone that would be considered "old school"? Easily the best plastering videos on here, keep them coming.

Just have taught few now and I find how this game of plastering goes its more about developing others and their approach rather than saying one-way is the way. guess I have become jaded and developed my own way but I wouldn't be so brave to say it is the way u know 👍 top videos everytime big respect for you. Im an old plasterer, having started my career in the early 50s.
While much of the material being used today differs from my day, the technique as for applying it has not.
However, we would have a scaffold built for the entire room when doing the ceilings.
And the mortar would be placed on a large mortar board on the scaffold.
Getting up and down for each hawkfull of material makes no sense at all to me.
We would do the entire ceiling and part way down the walls from the scaffold.
And the finishing was done from the scaffold as well.
After the finishing was complete the scaffold would be moved to a different room by a helper.
This person is simply using a bench for the entire process.
We had those as well, and used them in places like closets and narrow hallways.
