Nice al 👍. You stuck it on rough deliberately. Alex and Blaine gray are the best plastering vids on RUclips. Taking time to show beginners, adding time to their day.
😂😂😂 I wondered if someone would notice that. Yes I did keep it rougher than normal to simulate very rough corners so those watching could see what was possible. Well spotted. 👏👏👏 Thanks for your support on the channel.
well after 30 years of plastering and using thr ragni since they came out ive allways done straight away then at the end. I will be trying this tomorrow im on the first of 68 units! thanks never too old to try it different.
This channel is so under-rated 🔥 👌🏽 You've helped me so so much. I'm starting next week with plastering my lowered ceiling. It runs throigh the entire living-, diningroom and kitchen. Its about 20 square mtrs. I've never plastered before, but with your tips and tricks and all basics im confident enough to do it like a pro: you. Much respect Alex. Cheers m8.
priceless advice. i wouldnt have had a clue. i am thinking of adding a corner trowel to my kit theres an ox dealer near near me but will check the ragi. thanks for the tip!
Just had a bathroom plastered and the corners are absolutely terrible. Now means I can't paint it as it is and needs a ton of rework to make it nice. thankfully I have a dry wall sander and a 1/3 sheet sander. Bad corners equal a ton more work to get it nice
Another great video buddy. I've noticed in this video and your Float and Set video, you really got the lighting spot on to show what you're doing. I feel like this was missing a little in your timings video. I think it was so bright out and your camera was aimed at it, so it made the walls appear dark, so it was more difficult to see what you were trying to show the plaster should be for each stage. Is it possible you could make a new timings video in future with a huge LED light pointed at the wall? I know it's part of the RUclips guidance to reupload similar or even identical subjects over time to help growth, even though you've already done vids on it.
Cracking video Alex....Could you do a video on the correct way to dot and dab a wall were the patio doors are like the 1 in the video...And also to dot and dab around a window wall.Thanks.
@@AlexMorleyPlastering Anything ranging from water damage to accidental knocks? As a trainee plasterer, I still haven't come across this job and it would be great to see you do a demonstration as you explain things better than anybody else.
Hello mate Today for the first time I found something like nylon fibers because that's what you can explain to me, please, your work is very cute I like it very much, thank you for your videos
Hi Alex so before and after first wet trowel only? Do you brush angles before twitching or dry? And one more do you know the rag I angle, looks like 90 compared to marshaltown which is 103 and digs a bit?thx
I don’t use the corner trowel until the closing in stage of the second wet trowel. Any sooner you are disforming the corner. Pretty sure it’s the 103. And I only use a small brush after the second twitch.
Can you describe your actions more please? Angles, pressure, texture, consistency, new tool issues, and any other technical description would help a lot. "Like that", etc just doesn't help and some of us aren't familiar with any of this. Better lighting and different camera angles would put you above the rest. Thanks
Number one where's the frog tape around the new back door window's two don't need to brush corners in at end if finished properly Number 3 not a bad job!!
It’s called the toe and the back end is the heel, and by way the your mate in the background is a waste of time, stays in the same spot to long, move on .

Just got myself the nela 103° what a little corner trowel that is well worth a go
Why wasn't I told how to straighten my corners like this when I was learning how to plaster. Fantastic! This is going to help me a lot.
Just what I've been looking for.. thank you... very detailed
I have always found I use it at all stages of the skim yiu have something to work into then just take the line out that the trowel leaves
Won't lie I always use it after the first coat. Then as you do from Then on
Yet again another cracking vid, with good tips 👍

Figure out a way of using a laser. Its a game changer.
Hi, another great video as always. Is there any chance you can do a video of patch repairs on plasterboard ceilings?
What sort of repair are you looking for?

Best corner trowel I've ever had. Good price too. Make sure the apprentice don't let the lugs dig in. It will infuriate him. Haha 😂
Given the choice of working to a wet angle or a dry which would you choose?
Personally I prefer wet corners. You can put on more m²
I follow that general rule and I flatten my wet corners like that kind of not exactly the same but good technique nice an square
What is closing in the plaster?
thank you for the knowledge

Australia is still on plaster?
Plaster is superior to taped drywall in every way, yanks just lack the skill. Plus im fairly sure hes british not aussie
Best to leave till last minute to avoid taking gear out of corners
Alex, Im interested to know your method of keeping a straight line on you sloped ceilings when you don't want them curved?
Exact corner tool or stop bead
@@israeladesanya4596 thanks for the reply 👍
Stop beads are a pain to fill in enough but keeps it straight

Plugging Ragni aswel haha
If you plaster and finish all ceilings first then plaster and finish opposite walls your never need a twitcher or corner trowel .
Loads better using a corner trowel
you have to practice witchcraft to get good ceiling lines yours are awesome
Thanks for your feedback Duncan.
