Very excited, this is my favorite distribution. I am hoping for a more consistent way to exit games and go back to main menu between RetroArch and standalone emulators. When I give a handheld to a newbie, in need to print them a guide right now
@@michaelbenny659 by default 99.9% of emulators should exit with hotkey + start. A lot of effort goes into trying to keep inputs as consistent as possible between emulators.
Im all in on Knulli now. If you ever have issues with muOS, whatever you do, dont ask the devs anything cause they'll say you're lying & will ridicule you for having any kind of issue with their OS
Without even starting on how they hold their public releases for new devices for months so they could milk every single drop off their ko-fi dev builds
I'm waiting for MuOS. I tried to like Knulli but having to network file transfer my entire library is a pain and I always seemed to have issues saving retroarch configs.
I didn’t do mine that way. My card comes up as broken I tell windows to repair it and drop-drag my files into the folder. It’s funny it does it every time but both the handhelds in this video that’s how I got the library’s on them
The funny thing my SD card saves files up to 10 Mb/s and network transfer is pretty much the same so it makes little difference. Plus it might be more comfortable to flash a USB drive with something like Linux Mint and just run the live environment to transfer files
On the rg35xxsp knulli is difficult to setting bezels. Some themes not match rg35xxsp aspect ratio. I go back to muos is friendly easy to setting things Sorry for my english
I kinda like the Anbernic current stock firmware, but I love knulli a LOT, Please make the RGB d-pad work and more access to Retroarch, then I will never ever change Knulli from this hanheld
Thank you for the informative video! It's indeed hard to find videos where people show the experience of using a CFW. Do you think this one is easy to configure to be used by a child? PS: You can use the option of creating a new save file each time you save on RA :)
i had knulli on my trimui smart pro...for exactly 30 minutes. i deleted knulli straight away and switched to crossmix somehow nothing fits with knulli and i can't imagine that they will get a grip on it. but let's wait and see and drink tea...
I tried it on the TSP as well. Completely different build in my experience. Cross-Mix is the way to go with the TSP for sure. I’ve got a video about that as well
Stay with stable fast stock OS. Knulli is full of bugs, portmasters issues, battery drain, lags, disconnecting wifi...and a lots more. It looks nice and that's all.
I also like Stock modified. Pretty sure Portmaster doesn’t work on Stock but if you have a way to make it work please share. I don’t have battery or WiFi issues but I have noticed lag in some games. If you fiddle with the emulators a bit it seems to fix the lag or more hiccup issues for the most part, I mostly wish Stock had Portmaster because the StockOS has come a long way
Have you tried using a WiFi dongle in the OTG port? Otherwise you can download themes on your computer and put the SD card in, then drag them to the theme folder
There is an option in the settings menu for the LED… if I remember correctly. I can play with it tomorrow and figure it out if I’m remembering incorrectly
Wooow! Can you somehow to make a copy of your microSD card with preinstalled Knulli and give me the link that I can download it? Like your settings because you did that exactly what I like to do it with!
I liked the stock OS; I think this is the best OS Anbernic has made except I'm not a fan of the 40xx. I like the screen but it just wasn’t comfortable for me. I didn't like the D-pad either. I want to see if I'd like the 28xx, I probably should have gotten the 35xxh. Jazzy the Jackrabbit over Commander Keen.
I meant to update as well lol I ended up turning off my handheld, turning on my BT headphones, then turning back on my handheld and it paired….thanks for reminding me to update
…change that name!!!…you will not sell anything with that totally offensive name in sweden!!!…you need to do a name research before naming your product!!!…
Knulli dev here: the upcoming new public releases will have a ton of new stuff :)

Awesome thank you for the update
Is the cardinal snapping of the rg40xx v fixed?
Any fix on the retroachivement 419 error?
Knulli for video game previews, scraping and good themes. If MuOS had these plus the fast boot time it would be the absolute best
That would be a great combo
Knulli supports audio over bluetooth + preview vids. Win win win.
How's the audio lag over BT?

Im on muos and i dont have any bad experiences as you said, they are actively reply any question on discord very fast
I have other Anbernic device and I'm using Anbernic mod os now, basically for battery life since it have better sleep mode.
I wouldve loved to have a closer look at the screen, its just too far away
Unfortunately with the camera that was close there was too much of an angle to see much so the further shot worked best. Appreciate the input
@@CellPhishNo worries, I liked the content, I really wanted to look at the little cars for the racing games haha

Super dope to read comics on this 👌🏽
It’s nice to have when I find myself waiting around for something if I don’t feel like gaming

Sorry for my english
I also use MuOS on my SP. They have recently updated Banana for the other handhelds last week so I’ll try it out on the others.
@@CellPhish can you do a comparison between knulli and muOS banana? thank you ^^ I'm still new to this scene, just ordered a 40xxV the other day.
I kinda like the Anbernic current stock firmware, but I love knulli a LOT,
Please make the RGB d-pad work and more access to Retroarch, then I will never ever change Knulli from this hanheld
And if ports can make Diablo II + LoD work on it then I will have to quit my job because I'm not going to leave this hanheld alone
lol totally fair.

You can create a new file save every time. Yes my 10 and 6yr olds can use it. I do put the OS into kid mode so they don’t make changes

i noticed that the knulli OS disabled the LED on joystick, i just want to know that is there is a way to turn on it?
As I stated in the video there is an update coming for the joystick lights that will also lower the temperature when you rim the screen
@@CellPhish thanks a lot i really looking forward to it :)
Do you know how I can get that Donkey Kong theme on my 28xx? It doesn't have wifi.
Have you tried using a WiFi dongle in the OTG port? Otherwise you can download themes on your computer and put the SD card in, then drag them to the theme folder
@CellPhish I tried going to the Knulli wiki, but that just took me to a github with themes, but no releases to download. Where did you get yours?
For the bios, do you simply copy over all the bios files from the stock firmware?
You should be able to grab them from the stick Retroarch build but yes just copy them over
What theme are you using?
I think it’s a switch theme. I’m testing another handhelds so I u fortunately left this at home today but I’ll check when I can
Which version of Knulli is on display here? Is this a test version that is post the July release?
That is correct. This is the most recent build
Where can I find this build? I did not find it in the repo. Did you compile it yourself?
Since Knulli cannot modify the hotkeys I'd say MUOS is still the best OS for 40xxH and 35xxH
MuOS is nice. Personally I prefer the feel of Knulli but I do use MuOS on my 35xxSP
Please how to turn on the Led light analog?
There is an option in the settings menu for the LED… if I remember correctly. I can play with it tomorrow and figure it out if I’m remembering incorrectly
@@CellPhish Thank you, I just cant see on the setting
You mention the hot keys and not liking the new hot key layout. Cant you change that? All my hot keys are changed
You can. I wanted to represent the “out of box” experience
@@CellPhish so one can change the hot keys?

I run it on two cards I’m not sure that would work because card 1 installs the directory to card 2
@@CellPhish ok. If needed, I can buy 2 cards😋
Knulli have support to moonlight streaming?
I I itally had issues pairing it but I have gotten it to work
nice😁
Does the joystick RGB work?
Like I mentioned it will in the v14 update or you can patch the update now. It’s really not important to me so I haven’t patched it
It's working with an installation script now. It will be incorporated in the next release, IIRC.
What theme is this?
I honestly have no idea. I believe it is switch based but can’t remember

Jazzy is good too. The 35xxH is great too. I liked it so much I picked up 2 of them 😂
I'd assume this would work on all XX models, no?
My Bluetooth headphones connects to every handheld but this one idk if anyone else has this issue…
Anbernic handhelds don’t typically have Bluetooth audio support. I havnt tried because I assume it won’t work
@@CellPhish I meant to update my comment. I got it to work I have some Bluetooth headphones I just got and everything is up and running.
