- A short video showing of some of my favourite presets so far from the fantastic Korg Prologue 8. I really love this synth - it looks the part with classic inspiration but modern lines, it sounds both lovely warm or nice and bright when you want a more digital clarity. And it is really easy to program and very inspirational.
Was considering the Deepmind, but this demo assures why the Korg. Korg's Prologue deep resonating and organic sounds is like that of a seasoned cello. The magic which for me starts at: 4:14 helps to justify its expense. Marc, your selection of tones and composition makes it all happen. Thumbs up.
Cool, glad you found the video helpful!
Wow, I don’t think I’ve seen another video that makes this synth sound so fantastically amazing. Bravo👏🏼 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you for the kind comments! It’s a great and intuitive synth with a sound that just fits into the mix.
Excellent demo of one of my favorites synths! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Matt! 🙂 Yeah, it’s one of my favourite synths too; I use it in virtually every track. Good sound and easy to program too.
@@MarcWeertsMusic For sure!
Cool visuals and great demo
Thank you very much! :-)
Sounds great Marc, nice synth! Enjoy it!! 😀
Will certainly do! :-D
Thanks for the demo!
You're welcome! This is a fun synth to demonstrate!
I have a 16 on the way! Can't wait.......
VIC-20 : Excellent! Have fun with it!
Damn...missed this too. I do like the sound, I have to say.
Yeah, it's a lovely synth! Of course, it's often a matter of taste with sounds - but for me Korg hit it out of the park with this one. I am thinking of doing a multitrack video with just the Prologue.
You should. You know me...I'm a fan of "one synth" compositions. As for the sound...it really does sound "classic" and it seems that extra digital oscillator really helps broaden the sound pallet a good bit.
There ya go: ruclips.net/video/z8cb4KN_x08/видео.html . Hope you like it, I still haven't found a way to make these multitrack videos with one synth easy to record and turn into a movie... :-)
Great sounds. Reminds of Dave Smith but still has it's own unique character. No after touch though.
Totally agree that it's a pity that there's no aftertouch - if it were up to me all keyboards would feature that. :-) Having said that, as I don't use this one much for soloing I find that I don't miss the aftertouch that much. I mainly find it an unmissable feature on solo synths, allowing me to play and apply modulation with one hand while still keeping the other hand free for chords and such.
👍❤️
Thank you! 🙂
Bro it has eternal step sequencer? First time i see using it like this . U r awesome
It kills the prophet. Korg is more...dark..more sad . 🖤
Thanks! It doesn't have a step sequencer but it does have an arpeggiator. I love the Prologue - it's very flexible in sound and it is all over my tracks these days.
Beautiful instrument. But one lfo!? Guess you can work around it cause it always sounds just great.
True, I'd also have liked another lfo. It’s definitely more suited to what I'd call 'standard sounds' (albeit sounding really well) than the more complex sound design-y stuff. But that also means that it’s really easy and quick to program. Also, the digital third oscillator and the fx section can add a lot of depth to the sound. Personally, I'd have loved aftertouch on the keys but at least it takes that over midi. To me, it's more like a more powerful version of my first synth, the juno-106 - simple but almost always nice sounding.
@@MarcWeertsMusic oh shit! Didn’t know it could take aftertouch from external keyboard. Great news.
There are other synths for complex modulation. The Prologues are the best sounding synths right now.
Prologue Sells Sanctuary
Nice demo! No detuned oscs on yours?
Payt Laros : thank you! No - no detuning unless I want it. 😀
