Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions 8 Month Review

- Опубликовано: 13 дек 2022
- This is my 8 month review of Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions Metal Series dash mount used in my 2015 Ford F150. I talk through the performance of the mount, customer service and warranty. I also walk through fixing any rattling or vibration noises caused by the mount and tray by using a rubber shim. I highly recommend this product it's been game changing for safe hands free driving and multiple mounting options.

I am so glad I watched this to know to add that shim! Nice vid, thanks for posting! Can’t wait to set mine up in my F150.
@adampatrick4917, I'm glad I could share the knowledge! The rattle drove me crazy till I found a solution. I love having my Bulletpoint mount set up in the truck. I use it every time I get in the truck to keep my phone secure.
Glad I saw this prior to my install, saved me the trouble from doubling back. I installed the strip of double sided 3M as a shim. Works perfectly
Shimming the front is totally needed to prevent that rattle from happening. Good idea on the double sided tape to keep it secure!
Nice objective review! Thanks for posting this. I wasn't surprised the vibrations began as the tray isn't designed for a cantilever load out in front like that. You found a good solution for that.
@pk47tech41, thanks for the comment. So far the rubber shim fix has held up great even on washboard roads.
Been planning on buying one of these, thanks for the thorough review!🤙
Awesome, it’s been a great upgrade. I can’t imagine going back to my suction cup RAM mount lol.
Great review! We were debating getting one and I thing we will do it now
@user-ot7ik5zq4o, It's been a great product I highly recommend it!
Nice review! Thanks.
@LoneStarEagle, Thanks!
sending some support. subscribed. great video
@inspiredironworksllc, thank you for the support!
I'm thinking about getting that Haloview camera and monitor. What is the adapter used to attach the monitor to the bulletpoint? It looks like it slides in a groove.
@itsallaboutshelby2666, I bought the Haloview suction cup mount and removed the mounting bracket from the suction cup portion and the ball is just shy of the 20mm Bulletpoint clamp arms. It's close enough that if you snug it up well it won't move. Here's the part amzn.to/3C6oNLg also here's my review video talking about how I mounted this up in more depth. ruclips.net/video/8mBYGO7QN6E/видео.html

How are you mounting your Haloview on to that arm?
@Gregory Muir, great question, I'm using the Haloview Suction Cup Mount. I removed the ball portion from the suction cup monitor mount and attached it to a Bulletpoint extension arm product link : amzn.to/3PF5H3o
Bulletpoint phone holder and extension arm: amzn.to/3HXoGFz
Where did you find the Halo View mount?
@EOWeekend, I purchased the suction cup mount through Amazon. Here's the link amzn.to/3PF5H3o If you don't have the Bulletpoint Mount & extra extension arm you can find those here: Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions Dash Mount - amzn.to/3wWhL9K Bulletpoint phone holder & Extension Arm - amzn.to/3HXoGFz
Where did you get the rubber shim?
@mikerandall6942, I got it on Amazon, Adhesive Solid Neoprene Rubber Strip 1/16” T x 1/2" W x 10' L - amzn.to/3VSRVOe
What are the arm lengths you are using?
I'm using the stock 7cm arm length!
When it comes to the phone mount. Have you experienced any sliding of the phone with the spri g loaded arm?
Have tried other spring loaded phone holders in the past and my phone would always slide down especially on bumpy terrain
@Nick-82, I have not experienced my phone sliding down in the holder and I've taken my truck on some very rough terrain. It holds my Iphone 13Pro very well.
is that also a bullet point mount used on your rv cam?
@enriqueb5252, yes it is, with the Haloview suction cup mount I can clamp the ball on the same arm.
Here's my in depth video on how I did it. ruclips.net/video/8mBYGO7QN6E/видео.htmlsi=HMEjEZsrOvNSorgc
Are these made in the USA?!!?
@chainraiderdiscgolf, some components are made overseas and the rest is built and assembled here in the USA.
@@jacobsupgrades Thanks!
