    I have mad respect for those guys. The training is just insane, mentally and physically.

      Know 1 Dude ready the book “the operator” by Robert O’Neill. After reading that book, you’ll understand that the BUD/S training does not get any easier 😂it literally only gets harder

    • @tresfordays9644
      @tresfordays9644 5 лет назад +4

      Know 1 this is a mere tiny glimpse of what they go through, and it’s random, you don’t know how long the evolution will last and you don’t know what the next one is, and this isn’t all that they do, it’s barely nothing, you’re delusional if you think you can learn more on your own than what they do

    • @LazyEyeMan
      @LazyEyeMan 5 лет назад +7

      @Know 1 why are you arguing with people on the internet? You realize that makes you the automatic loser?

    • @tresfordays9644
      @tresfordays9644 5 лет назад +1

      Know 1 no you can’t, you can workout and be as fit as you want, but it’s not about being physically fit, it’s about being fit, then being tired, pushed physically to you limit, then still having to perform, you, by yourself can’t put your self in those conditions, and some how if you do, you me have to commit to it 24/7, meaning you’d have to skip school if you’re a student, or refuse to work because some reason torturing yourself is more important, and there’s more to being a deal than being in shape, what you take away from it is a specific mentally, that when you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything, but you can’t get that from just being fit, it comes from being mentally broken, and still wanting to proceed, plus land navigation skills, expert in hand to hand combat, expert in diving and dive physics, and expert explosives and demolition, which can all translate out of the military

    • @plazmamasta193
      @plazmamasta193 5 лет назад +1

      Know 1 they learn to be mentally strong figuring things out in a tough situation with no hesitation,and you have to have allot of brains and not just strength to be a SEAL

      It didn't really surprise me at all that Jackson was able to handle the training he forced to do, it basically required teamwork, focus, endurance, stamina, the ability to think quick or react intelligently and have common sense. Most Pro NFL players need these specific skills to be successful in that profession, so it made sense that he nailed this.

    • @secludedmisanthrope6388
      @secludedmisanthrope6388 5 лет назад +10

      @Eric N No he in no way attempted any tactical or actual military combat exercises and none of the serious mental stress situations they go through had anything to do with it, I just said it made sense that an NFL player could endure the physical he was actually put through. The physical aspect of special forces isn't the difficult part because normally anyone trying to enter BUDS or other special forces teams are somewhat close to the top of their game physically and the constant barrage of all of the other things they have to endure are where they crack. I would like to see them actually attempt more of the combat side of training to see if they can meet those requirements.

    • @tylerm7300
      @tylerm7300 5 лет назад +5

      @Eric N I guess it's a combination of clear mind and genetics. You have to break the barrier of your brain and your body working accordingly. Your brain gives far before your body. That's why people with mental disabilities appear really strong.

    I have always had respect for Vincent Jackson. Followed his football career since he was a Charger. Being a Buccaneers fan, I absolutely loved him in a Tampa uniform.
    More importantly for me, his football career was about as long as my military career and I knew he had this appreciation from the jump.
    I still have his old Bucs Reebok jersey, in pristine condition. I wonder; if I could mail it to him for a signature, would he do it?
    Great content. Keep it up. I’ll keep watching.

    The real challenge isn’t the discomfort or pain of one day or two. Many people who are reasonably fit could get through a few days without quitting. It’s the thought that it’s going to be like this - cold, tired, sleep deprived, in pain and under constant intense scrutiny and pressure for weeks and months, with a continuing constant physical and mental grind after BUD/s that makes most people quit.

    I think almost everyone is capable to go through that physically, at least those who have done some sports in life and are not very overweighted - it's a mental stuff that only few can go through.

      Also gotta remember these guys aren't getting treated like recruits, they do all the stuff but not the stress added to real life recruits because at the end of the day these dudes wont be seals lol

      BUDS training you’ll run over 2,000 miles and swim over 150 miles. There’s a reason why people quit, only the ones that are willing to die before they quit pass.

    Man I really like people like that one Seal fit instructor yelling Hooyah! I was with a marine recruiter. He was a young man who pounded his desk and patriotically yelled “United States Marine” right in front of me. We need more people with energy like that in this world for the greater good.

    It's not the same when you do the training compared to when you sign a contract and do the training, I feel like when you sign up for the military it's more of an obligation.

    Log PT ended my military career. I was the front man on the log, the guy behind let go without warning. The log slammed into the shoulder fracturing a vertebrae, tearing muscles, tendons, and disks. After six months time the surgeon informed me that I would no longer be able to pass an Airborne physical and I would have pain for the rest of my life. My dream of becoming an 18Delta was over. 16 years of service between the Marines and National Guard was over. God bless all that serve.

    • @michael2775
      @michael2775 5 лет назад +7

      Yeah. Really the difference between them is that with actual SEAL tests it's a lot more like they are torturing you. They just want to put people through tests where it proves that they WILL NOT give up.
