Alice Levine: "I once fled a swimming pool after accidentally assaulting an old man."
Would I Lie to You? is the hit BBC panel show where two teams of celebrity guests try to figure out whether their opponent's ridiculously far-fetched statements about themselves are true or, in fact, a lie.

I want David to play a pirate captain, who is constantly overruled by his crew, but almost as constantly right and with red veins popping in his face yells at them: "I told you so!"
If swimming underneath someone is "undertaking", then logically "overtaking" should refer to flying over the top of him!
2:14 you can see Alice's soul leaving her body
Alice is an undertaker.
And after encountering her, the poor old man probably needed an undertaker!
She is so lovely
Except apparently not, she'll assault you then run away without compunction!
she is stunning
Isn't Alice Levine gorgeous
Do rhetorical questions require a comment?
A cutie.
I could watch her all day
@@tobyhart Im not sure if I should answer your rhetorical question 🤔
😜
@@tobyhart Only if the comment is full of rhetoric.
alice is just perfection
i could sit and look at her all day 😍
I’m with you she is stunning
I love MDWAP but straight up haven't seen her in anything else. she's dope
Stunning
Alice: "I once fled a swimming pool after accidentally assaulting an old man"
Me : That's alright..."
Feel like I'm better at knowing the right answer than the contestants a lot of the time. It's just the way she went about answering the questions, such as the way she said she didn't know what happened to the guy after she surfaced. It felt like she was trying to sound like she couldn't think what to say. If you really had made it up, you'd do everything to scramble for an explanation as to what happened to him. I think she felt like she had given too much detail away and that statement was damage control.
Many of the guests seem to base their judgements more on the plausibility of the story than how it was told
It's like David Mitchell says in the video: It's either very cleverly made up on the spot, or it's true. I mean, the cue card only mentioned 'assaulted an old man', the part about the undertaking manoeuvre was provided by Alice herself.
@@liambohl Yep! Spot on.
@@speedy Aye definitely. Plus Rob Brydon has said that who wins and loses isn't really of much consequence. It is about the jokes really.
@@liambohl Yes. This story is preposterous. I have never seen anyone undertake at a pool. I would not have believed it no matter what she said.
i can't believe ol' pointy nose Alice Levine did that
Terrible misogynist
That's probably what she used to assault the old man
alice is stunning
@@SCLOUD3112I’m crying it’s literally from a bit you dafty
Just because your appearance is nice, innocent and beautiful doesn't mean you can't be icecold, mean and sinister. But it is hard to believe. I guess insecurity and alienation is much easier than courage and warmth. We seem to project good qualities to good looks.
The remaning question left is: Doth' the audience wishe'th to know'eth if Mme.Levine assaulted an old man. Now that is the question.
Why don’t they coach contestants to tell a story in a way that sounds like a lie. It’s not an anecdote at a party. Sound vague like it didn’t happen to you and your making it up as you go along.
So you've never seen one of Bob Mortimer's stories, then..?
Because no one on this show really cares about the score and who wins or loses. It's the same for all UK panel shows like QI, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, etc, the points never matter, only the comedy.
I mean...they DID think it was a lie.
@@beeble2003 to be fair, Bob's stories are a massive exception to the rule 😂
Or Claudia Winkleman... she lies when she's telling a truth, I actually think that should be disqualified. It's not about the points, but it is about the limitations of the game.
2023.. bumping into someone is considered assault, and "overtaking" in a pool is rude. 1 of thousands of examples we have gone mad.
It's not considered assault... It was dramatised.
You know this is a comedy program, right?
A year later now, are you still such a little slowflake?
I think the cards are meant to make it sound more ridiculous than it actually it is, that's all
@@AdolphHItler-rs1wi I mean, it's her story. Whatever went down was memorable enough for her to tell it to a producer. Even if it were a bump, SHE's the one who thinks it was embarrassing enough to be interesting.
She is as painful to watch as her podcasts are to listen to
