I believe he’s still with us…🙏🙏
Please explain!🙂
Rest in peace Jim and Ray. Stuck in his prime.
I can’t believe I’m 27 years older than Jim at the time he died .
But I was only 5 when he passed .
50 years gone and never forgotten .
Jim was like born to be a Rock Star ⭐️
( His sister has the same eyes as her brother ).
I'd love to hear more from Anne and Andy.
Where Is Andy? :(
@@ezequielcuevas5892
Jim's brother. I don't know where he is or what he does. I guess he's private.
@@lambjack1
He lives in Hawaii and had 2 kids.
@@twomindz79 ohh, Hawaii, Very good place for lived, thanks bro.
@@lambjack1 the last notice to I know from Andy was in 2014, for a documentally about Jim, after this, not knowlling for him.
One of my favorite bands of all time!
I got to have that book!!!!! The doors the best band ever!!!!!!🍄🍄💨💨🥃🥃🍺
It's 51 years tomorrow we lost Jimi, and here we go again 50 years for Jim, sadly missed xx
Jim Morrison.......a poet who will never be forgotten , thanks so much for the awesome memories 👏☮️✌️
All four were special. And will continue to be. Thank you for the good times.
The future’s uncertain and the end is always near…..
What a great sister Anne must of been. .
Im very proud Manzarek was polish his all grandparents were from Poland 🥰
A Chicago Pole to boot! Which is where a lot of his jazz, latin, & blues influences came from in his playing.
Thanks for sharing
And thanks to the Morrison family for opening up the vault!
I was only 12 when Jim Morrison passed away and "RIDERS ON THE STORM"was my favorite Doors hit song...So beautiful yet so haunting at the same time...R.I.P. JIM...🎤🎤🥁🎹
If when I die I can here all of The Doors music and Jims poetry for eternity.
That would be my heaven.
Forever 27
I wasn't even born when jim was around or when he died but goddammit if i don't miss him everyday and love him, his music or his poetry
What a wonderful woman. Good energy and kindness are just beaming off her.
I turned 13 in 1969, and Jim Morrison of the doors was one of my favorites. Riders on the Storm was a big hit on the radio when I was 14.
Such a fantastic song
Oh my gawsh im so jealous!
A friend of mine ordered the book and sent it to me to have. It's absolutely amazing.
My favorite band ever RIP Jim
The doors music is timeless and ageless it'll never die.
For me is Jim Morrison the best Singer of the World - he is amazing not only his life but he writes with Soul, Emotions. He was a Genius far beyond this World ❤ And he was a Beautiful Man - timeless ❤️
It was the music that turned me on to The Doors almost 30 years ago, and still is….
Great job little sister for for ever taking care of Jim's private belongs. He passed away 5 years before I was born. I listen to Jim and The Doors at least once a week. The icon's forever!
Greatest rock poet of all time..
What a delightful little sister he had.
Absolutely WONDERFUL!!!!
good to see Robbie and John have put the triviality behind them. when you realize you're only one half of this phenomenon that remains, sense of mortality takes over and you realize there's more to cherish than to discard
Not only did they create the best music of all time they were works of art.
I always thought Jim came up with the “our love become a funeral pyre” line. Always fun when you find you guessed it right
Great segment! What she did was absolutely great. Preserving Jim’s writings this way was a great accomplishment. Jim would be proud. I wish though John would get past the negativity towards Jim. It’s in the past. Easier to make peace than hold a grudge.
When my daughter was only eight years old, she was playing and singing The Crystal Ship at the local restaurant, thanks to her piano teacher, Mike Evans Piano, who happens to have a channel here on YT. What a timeless song and band! Thanks!
And it is not an easy song!!
Thank you Anne
One of the greatest ever. In a class all by themselves I’ve loved the doors my entire life and by the time I really got into them Jim Morrison had already been gone for over 10 years to me it’s no surprise that people today still listen to the doors . Excellence unique excellence one of a kind great music will never die when your heart and soul is in it people will recognize that 100 years from now Jim was a shaman of greatness
Gorgeous hair!!! Amazing expression of confidence, authority, peace, charm and beauty in his portrait photos while looking right into camera as if he is looking at you! Very personable.
Such a great guy and the doors are still amazing to listen too. Thanks for great music and great poetry.2024 Love always .
Jim was loved by his family. His sister is particular proud, happy and inspired by her brother. RIP Jim.
I love their first album they were great in concert
The Doors will always be synonym for Jim but in he struck the purest gold by meeting the other band members. John and Robbie are and Ray was so extremely talented.
They made Jim's voice and poetry come to life...
Anne is great and with Robby and John keeping the Doors legacy going. It still amazes me that Jim’s Dad the Admiral never listened to any of the songs.
Saul Bennett
I’m pretty sure Admiral Morrison listened to the Doors entire catalog.
Anne, thank you so much for allowing to be interviewed and sharing this story. I am so excited about the book. I purchased a copy on 02/01/2023. I have been a fan of Jim's words and the band's music when I discovered them, while in college (1995). I hope you are doing well.
Even when all of us who remember the Doors when they first hit the scene, we Baby Boomers, fans, surviving band members, have all passed away. People of future generations will be still playing The Doors.. They were just that important and vital to music..
RIP Jimbo the greatest 😁🏴
All 4 of the men made the Doors
BUT
Without Jim Morrison the Doors were no more.
Heartfelt thanks to Anne Morrison for putting the book together.
Thanks for the upload. Nice to see Jim's archive through his sister's eyes. That said, the interviews here are way too short and shallow. Can't expect much more from a TV program aimed at producing a few sound bites. Would have loved to see a real music journalist interview all three (Anne, Krieger and Densmore) for a more extended interview.
Yes, I completely agree.
Unfortunately every interview with Robbie turns into a discussion about Light My Fire. The guy is very interesting and quirky but he and John must be so sick of talking about the same stuff 48 years since the group disbanded.
Watch for the tv series "The Big Interview" hosted by Dan Rather. He did an in-depth interview with John and Robbie. He has been doing them for a number of years now and really does great interviews. It is a series I watch on AXS tv. Here's a link about it. @@curtzeek8818 Totally agree; anyone who likes Doors music would be entertained by the Dan Rather interview.
AMEN!!!!
Jim Morrison wild, young and inspiring what an incredible story you wrote, King Lizard forever ❤️
