Heck yeeees!!! My man giving us a great inside into his helmet ⛑️ collection. I will have say I loooove my Predator Helmet. Great work on your videos brother 👏 #PredatorHelmets
Wanted to post this video here because people keep referring to "Wrongs Ways" video review of this helmet talking about how unsafe the helmet is. Also, folks stating "Freshly Charged's" review on its safety. This video shows the weakness of theTSG and Predator type helmets which is the front. This helmet looks cool, and I want one BUT I'm not going to pretend it's safe or state that a DOT rated helmet isn't necessary. Thats just the wrong way to look at safety. This helmet is fine as long as you are aware that it offers no protection in a frontal impact AT SPEED. You can also avoid hitting the front with some agile maneuvering, but to pretend this helmet is safer than it is not good advice. ruclips.net/video/-Eng7l2iUek/видео.html @5:06 - 6:45 The damage to the helmet in a frontal crash and the thoughts of the EUC rider after.
I did and I left a comment stating that I didn't agree with his review. I own the helmet and have used it for months. Wrong Way only gives you a first impression of the helmet as a paid reviewer.
@@johnrichardson5089 I totally agree with you. Riding a pev, you don’t necessarily need a dot approved motorcycle helmet. The guys at freshly charged, if you haven’t seen it, did a review and had a bad crash going around 45-50mph. He was using the predator and it had some scratches on it. But it did it’s job. I’d prefer a lighter full face helmet vs a heavier one. If someone wants a dot helmet that’s fine, but I’ve heard many people knocking on tsg and predator saying it won’t protect someone when they’ve never had a fall with one.
This helmet is not very safe when hit directly from the front. Which if you are riding a EUC this is very possible. Im looking for the video with the guy that took a fall slower than the guys at Freshly Charged and ended up with a concussion and he stated he would never ride with this helmet again because if offered no protection in frontal impact. I love the helmet personally but Im not going to pretend its safer than it is. I think its a fine helmet as long as you are aware of its weaknesses.
@trancendedmindpalace Agreed 👍🏾 I have a helmet for every type of riding, and I know the limits of each one. I've taken several falls with the DH6-Xg while learning to ride my long boards. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it on video. I saw the Wrong Way video and personally thought it was a biased review. I left a respectful comment underneath his video expressing my opinion. Oh, I forgot to add: I don't think I'll ever ride a EUC and if I tried, I'm sure I wouldn't wear the DH6-Xg because of the potential for an extreme face-plant.
ruclips.net/video/e5ki31f2NMI/видео.html that’s the video where a freshly charged guy fell using a predator helmet going about 45mph on an euc. The helmet did protect him as intended. People keep saying you need a dot helmet. Here’s a good example that you really don’t.
It's all about how you fall. God forbid if anyone gets into a spill but knowing how to fall in a way that you protective equipment protects you is very important to avoid injuries. Thankfully, I haven't had an accident to test the safety of the Predator helmet. DOT approved helmets are overrated in my opinion.
The freshly charged video is not the best example. He fell with limbs stricking the ground first and skid along the surface. I'll try to find a video of the guy that took a direct fall in this helmet. I think people are saying to go with DOTS becuase in the videos where people are hitting head first the Predator helmet is not protecting them well. I personally love the look of the predator helmet and may get on in the future, but Im well aware that if you hit head or chin first it is not going to do anything.
@@trancendedmindpalace I would imagine it would do a bit more than a bicycle helmet. I got it because of its looks and how lightweight it is. But I do agree with your point. Let’s hope those that do fall tuck and roll properly.
This helmet is the best looking but the least safest. There are numerous videos from RUclipsrs on their crashes with this helmet and its not good at all. Its also not DOTS and the rating is for downhill skateboarding I believe. Its extremely dangerous in an EUC crash. Wrong Way has done a video, Dawn, and another EUC rider got a concussion from a small fall while wearing it.
Great videos bro I learned a lot from you I’m 57 and a beginner and love it keep it coming I’m watching thanks.
