      Most of the marketing information about speed doesn't always take other factors like rider weight or riding conditions into consideration. Although my Emove Roadster and LEO Apex Hyper scooters are more than $4k, they both are 100% capable of speeds over 70 mph. However, I don't ride at those speeds too often.

      Please explain: What exactly is more rake? I agree, a steering damper is not needed. Since this video, I've learned how to ride much better without speed wobbles at high speeds. @@johnrichardson5089 Steering rake angle," also simply called "rake," refers to the angle between the motorcycle's steering head (where the front forks mount) and a vertical line drawn through the front wheel, essentially measuring how far back the steering axis leans from the vertical, and significantly impacting the bike's handling characteristics; a larger rake angle indicates a more laid-back front end, while a smaller rake angle means a steeper front end. Key points about steering rake angle: Measurement: Rake is measured in degrees, with a larger number signifying a greater angle of lean. Impact on handling: A larger rake angle generally provides more stability at high speeds but can make turning less agile, while a smaller rake angle can improve maneuverability but may be less stable

      Yes. The Emove Roadster is a power hog that eats up the battery pretty quick when you ride it hard and the motors and controllers run a little hot if you push it too hard. The Apex is completely opposite. I rode the hell out of the Apex for a solid 15 to 20 miles and the motors and controllers barely got warm. Also, I just don't understand how the Apex has very little voltage drop, considering the power it cranks out. The Apex is, as the saying goes, very good on gas or battery.

    I’m a little confused here. The Apex is capable of some brutal acceleration and deceleration, and I can’t fathom not bracing myself when riding it. I ride left foot forward bracing at the neck and right foot back bracing on the tail, and crouched with my chest almost to the handlebars. I can mitigate the speed wobbles if I keep my body super rigid, but this scooter wobbles no matter what I do when I get it going 70mph+; and it wobbles quite a bit when decelerating from such speeds. Using the regen is the smoothest way I can do it. I don’t know how I could possibly brake hard into a corner with such characteristics. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @johnrichardson5089
      @johnrichardson5089 Месяц назад

      @usm7924 I don't have all the answers. I can only speak from what I'm learning as I ride more. I broke a new barrier on my most recent ride. With the right tire pressure and suspension setting combined with loose confidence on the grip, the right amount of acceleration literally pulls the Apex in a solid straight path without wobbles. The only catch is that at higher speeds, you tires have to maintain good contact with the road. I'm still learning but now I'm sure I can ride 55-60 mph with no speed wobbles and the confidence that I will not just get them out of the blue.

Weight just glues the scooter to the road. Really hope the steering damper will solve your issues, it most definitely should help. Maybe contact wyrd ryds I know they have a relationship with erexx dampers and maybe they can make you a custom one for the apex.

      @ScootaGang Thanks, Bro. Love the Erexx idea. Yes. I knew something was up whenever many Rion Apex owners were quiet about their experience. I'm sure Matt Hoover, LEO PEV, will come up with a solution to improve the Apex's stability.

      I reached out to Matt Hoover and he is already one step ahead. He informed me that he's actually working on a new front fork design that will improve the Apex's stability. And he plans to send them out free of charge to owners.

    Awesome Bro. Subbed to your channel. Im like you with an assorted variety of PEVs. I own and ride Escooters. Ebikes. Electric Skateboards. EUCs Electric Unicycles. Had my fair share of thrills and spills. Always geared up. I'm 50yrs age. I always stretch my body before riding. And also when I take breaks. I stretch too. .

      Honestly, you won't miss not having a suspension in the front once you feel those PMT slicks. My camera clamp was a little loose (you can see it in my riding shadow). So, this video is slightly deceptive with the bouncy effect you see.

    What’s up bro! Nice video man I had my roadster out today! I can’t believe the Rion doesn’t have a steering damper that seems so weird to me because that’s a bad ass scooter!

      @thefinalfrontier1219 The Apex is still a work in progress. The tech just out grew the stability of the design. However, it's not a deal breaker for me. Thanks for the feedback and ride safe on that Roadster 👍🏾

    Thx for posting a video There aren't many videos on the roadster Mine has been down since early July, took it on its first long ride(25 miles) which only my nami max was able to complete(also not working currently) I get 4 miles away from my end and a check engine light pops on the dash and I loose power Turns on but no action Been waiting on new controllers from voromotors I also have my power set up via the level. ,so level 4 is 80% and 5 is 100..ive only tried 5 ONCE 😂😂

      Hope everything works out with the controller replacement on your Roadster. I'm working on a Roadster video, which will drop soon. I've actually never ridden my Roadster with the max output at 100% . My max taps out at 85%, where I normally get slightly over 60 mph.

      What's happening with the Nami Max? I have the updated Burn E 2 Max with PMTs no issues so far and I clocked in over 1,000 miles now. Just curious to see if it might be something later to look for

    Thoughts if I should purchase an Apex or the Emove roadster ???

    • @johnrichardson5089

      You would probably enjoy the Roadster more. The Apex is more powerful but harder to ride because it's so lightweight. Personally, I'd pick the Apex over everything on the market because of new infineon technology.
