Does the Rominator allow for 800K Floppies, with the proper drive? With only 1 MB of RAM installed, the maximum system version should be 6.0.3. with 4MB you can run 7.0.x
I guess I need a memory upgrade...so does this computer! Yes, it allows 800K disks, at least on the Plus as that is what it runs natively, not sure about the 128 or 512 version.
It uses a modified Mac Plus ROM, so you can use 800K floppy drive units in a 128K or 512k. So technically it would turn the 128/512 into a '512ke' Mac.
Pretty cool! I think the oldest Mac I have is an SE/30. I should get one of the earliest models sometime and try this out.
