Recieving consequences from my parents if I respond disrespectfully is nothing new to me. It's just the severity of punishments (both old and new) that'll shock me.
I know what you mean about growing up in your sister’s shadow. My sister worked at NASA at age 15, went to an Ivy League college, and everyone always acted like I was some sort of black-sheep screwup just because I skipped a few days of school here and there and because I burned down a daycare. For God’s sake I didn’t just do it for fun, it was for the insurance money. All those little life insurance policies added up, too!
idk i just get angry, i learned to work, and sure you take breaks when you can, but they last between 2-5 secondsand then on with the work, do it right the first time and your done everyone get a drink together, eat together ect when we are working on a problem, we have been working for an extended period of time a few times and then there is one who makes dinner for us, either they bring it out or we go inside to eat, just common sense to help eachother with what you can

My parents never forced us to do chores when we were little. They wanted us to grow to like helping out. I keep things clean and do my own chores now as an adult and I don't have a deep hatred for it because I was never forced.

The skin will grow a protective barrier when dirt gets in the nails. Example sand, you hate the layer of skin that builds up but it’s to protect from dirt getting under the skin. If there is a cut then that’s when you have to worry.

My mom's first husband as a kid was having a manure fight with his siblings and one had a rock in it and smashed him on the head with it
