I learned so much from you from watching your auction videos. You don't just yap about bs. You are strictly on point with the task at hand, auction inspections. To top it off you do, say and show where and what to look out for. This is extremely informative 👍👍 please do more auction videos. Even if you dont buy or sell, your knowledge is valuable to share with everyone, plus its great content. Oh and a little more on tractors w/ loaders/attachments and backhoe as well please. Thank you for all this.
My favorite youtube channel is Western Truck Repair. Warren works on rusted, busted, twisted and bent junk. Somehow he manages to get it to run. This here channel of your is a solid #2 on my favorites!!
Anyone thinking about buying heavy equipment like you buy and sell will learn a lot about what to look for when buying used equipment watching your videos! SEATBELTS Dad!
Clint, if you see "good values, cheap" for the novice buyers, quick thoughts are always appreciated. 👍 I really appreciate how much knowledge you share with us.
Experience & Knowledge are KING when it comes to things like auctions! Simple things like knowing that at 9k hours those Cats need major service or just by opening one cap you can tell the health of a engine! Or knowing that one company copied another companies machines and weather or not they were any good and that’s how you either pass something up or get a great deal on something! Great video as always! Love this type of content!
Mechanic pro tip: pull the dipstick and look at the color stain. Burnt rings or valve (black, crunchy, sometimes bubbly), light caramel (extended oil change interval), golden color (ran the engine out of oil) completely shiny (maintained and not ran hot). Exhaust inspection. Black smoke (gas or diesel not burning), blue smoke (oil is burning), white smoke ( water is burning or turbo has failed). Just passing along knowledge! 🤪
I like the look of that container, makes the storage much more useable with the side doors, you can easily access anything in there without having to move a bunch of stuff out of the way.
love these auction vids, always amazes me that you can just get into any of those vehicles & know how to operate them & where everything is, while at the same time doing the sums in your head calculating whether they are worth a bid or not. thanks for taking us along.
@@C_CEQUIPMENT Absolutely, it's like having a training class. Didn't get the old super duty, did it go to high for you or was it not worth getting? Thanks Clint and Happy Holidays to all your family and Kevin also.
Love these auction videos. Have watched you check for blow by on these big pieces of equipment and wondered what it looked like. Finally got a good look at what it does looks like in this video. Thanks Clint another great vid.
Those shipping containers I seen on zip ties n bias plies channel he flipped it over welded a I bean on top so he could run a hoist w a cummalong to pick up stuff from the back easily , I thought that was a slick idea , I’m sure u guys run into that problem , needing the thing from the back of the container 👍👌👌👌🤘
That’s cool how you can work those trailer ramps to make room for forks. When you loaded that I was actually wondering how that was gonna go. C&C class in session !
“Plenty of stuff, all a little rough”. Yep, that’s auctions for ya! I think the rule of used equipment is: If it runs good, sell it private. If it’s junk, auction it!
Love the auction videos and how you go thru different machines and what to watch for. Would like to see you go thru wheeled and tracked skid loaders and review what to watch for
First thing I learnt buying plant - in my small way - was 9000 hours is "Lifetime" when it comes to most machines. At those hours, a full rebuild is on the cards & ideally someone else would be paying for that rebuild, not me.. Also your videos, Quentin, are a great way for the average guy with even small smarts to start feeling very dumb & broke by comparison. :-)
I'm betting that Cat came from a landfill job. Interesting to see and hear how you figure what you may want and why you steer clear of the junk. Happy New Year to the entire team Clint! Edit. As Marcel W pointed out I should have said Case not Cat.
I did equipment for about 12 years I miss being around it figuring out how to load different stuff just always kept me on my feet. Those old Taylors are so easy to operate and like the close cab
Not only am I a subscriber, and I always give you a thumbs up, I also think that trailer is a one of a kind that I have seen. Great job Mr C, you also have some very good kids!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fantastic job this year. I enjoyed all of the videos, and some of them more than once. You have a great crew there. Thank You for sharing your work. I'm looking forward to next ( or rather this) year. Outstanding!
Blanchard I believe started in South Carolina... I'm new to the channel but I am very impressed with your son's abilities... good to see a young man doing real work!!
It seems that a lot of your viewers, me included, love auction videos. Great purchase on the 1st container. Very handy to have the side doors. Thanks for sharing.
Maybe one day you could snatch one of those tired, high hours rubber-tracked skid steers and another pickup for a shop project... and make a half-track half-truck out of them.
That's a really good storage container, lots of easy to access sections which makes it a keeper. If you put the back to the road you can plank your logo on it, free advertising space, and what a brilliant bit of fork lift driving. Steel containers are so useful, in my old job I was always either purchasing or hiring them, ideal for storage solutions. In the UK the added bonus is that you don't need planning permission as they are a temporary structure, unless of course your linking in front of a listed building. Happy New Year to all at C&C.🎉🍷
As I'm watching this episode I happened to notice your driving the new Bronco. I work at Michigan Assembly where that is built, thank you for your purchase and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy watching the transformation of the older equipment.
There is a Little town called Blanchard, Louisiana. I do not know about Blanchard Equipment. There are equipment dealers in Blanchard that I am aware of. I have lived near Blanchard for 20 years and have equipment. Keep the great videos coming.
I guess I've never noticed or else I just thought your building was a blue color for some reason... But in this video I really noticed it's grey and lemme tell you that it's one awesome and sweet looking building you guys have there. I love that grey color. And I also absolutely LOVE watching these auction videos you do.
Clint, watching your channel and seeing you get that Super Duty put together has lit a small fire in my ass to get my 74 fixed up. Slowly but surely, the rust has turned to solid sheet metal again, holes filled and yesterday I looked like SpongeBob after sanding off the old yellow paint. Keep it up! You do great work!
Pulling the long load off the trailer with the fork truck, get it off the truck lower it to about 2" off the ground, that way if it tips its not going far, move the tractor trailer out of the way or out of the yard. Then move the item to its storage area. Now what could you use that for? Well looks like it has a lot of side doors. It work at a business or farm with lots of small equipment or landscaping gear. Perhaps a plumbing contractor, or construction companies yard. Or just a farm. You can stock feed, straw implements for a tractor, tools or small equipment and stock inside out of the weather high and dry, and away from theft. One hell of a storage container.
I'm not even close to being in your industry but I love watching your videos lately. You have a ton of invaluable experience, I'm sure plenty are watching these videos like a hawk for every bit of info. Happy holidays and new year's!
the case was a landfill machine. i worked years ago for B.F.I. hauling roll off boxes and i knew instantly where it came from. a nasty stinky tire wrecking work site.
I've been a long time lurker and finally subbed. I just have to admire your knowledge and explanations of what you look for. Sprockets, idlers, tracks... even low hours doesn't mean there's not a problem. And that one dozer, trash pusher, for sure. Thanks for sharing and keep fixing and selling machinery!

I replied to a few comments that were knocking you about jake brakes. You done no one any harm. It saves tractor and trailer brakes and brake fading so go for it. As for the dirty cat I'm gonna go with some king of mining. Whatever it is it's Life is over. Great video. You and your Family Have A Happy New Year and God Bless.
Hay Clint, a nice container with all those doors 👍. From the Netherlands I wish you, your family and all your C&C employees a healthy and successful 2023 👊💪🥂🍻🍾

It is preferable to place the container on wood or block to protect it from rain, which causes rust over time
