0:37 Laksa Sarawak/Sarawak laksa DO use coconut milk but only a little and they're not over boil until the oil comes out. Some sellers would add more, so you would see some oil in the broth. Sarawak laksa is not meant to be super spicy but one that is balance so that it doesn't overpower the taste of the spices.

lao ya keng @ carpenter street doesn’t have good representation of kueh chap and laksa. rather, they just happen to have them both so it’s convenient to go there. for laksa i would reccomend very nice @ fortune land. for kueh chap you can try TJ Delight.

A correction...pretty sure there's coconut milk in Sarawak Laksa.
SIN Laksa should be called curry laksa, just like KL Laksa..

As a Sarawak resident I am always disappointed with type of durian supplied in Miri - limited flesh but a super large stone. Vietnam puts it entirely to shame.

Penang is better than Kuching? Keep that opinion to yourself. Obviously it’s because u prefer sour & spicy. BTW Penang got wild fern meh?
