Malaysia Ministry of Tourism should hire you guys to produce some Ads to promote Sarawak! I'm Malaysian but I didn't know Sarawak is actually so nice... Good job, guys👍
Déjà que le bureau de l’office du tourisme soit ouvert avec des heures correctes et pas fermées à 15h et entre 12/13h plus samedi et dimanche 😢 Les touristes sont habitués à se renseigner à toutes heures. 😮😢VELOMO
This has to be my favourite video from this channel so far. As a Malaysian i kinda feel ashamed to say ive never been to Sarawak because as Xian Qian mentioned people usually tell you theres nothing much to do there. Xiao Qian is probably the best guest on this channel she doesnt seem pretentious and doesnt just sit there act pretty.
Late to the comments but must say you guys struck gold (again) with Xian Qian. She’s like a composite of all the leading female cohosts you’ve had in the past (even past channel). The chemistry with the team is on a high point now 👏
thank you for the fantastic introduction to Kuching! i would usually not be able to sit through a video tour for more than 10 mins, but Ryan and Xiao Qian and the entire back end team have totally shattered my belief and habit. Kudos! Looking forward for more of your clips! Next stop, Kuching with my family! thanks for making all these information so easy, exciting and possible.
Hi guys! We are aware of the problem of the entire video being green - It was okay yesterday but today it got corrupted for some reason. We are currently investigating the problem and will keep you posted. [UPDATES] The issue has been fixed!!!
I'm so happy that you guys covered the place where I was raised with all the amazing food but sadly in KL working now. Feels good to see my childhood youtuber covering the place I spent majority of my childhood and teenage years at. Wish I was still there eating all the food and potentially running into you guys too hehe. Sarawak Pride!
My first time discovered your vid and i thought xiao qian were one of yall , turns out she's a guest! She's so adventurous, bubbly and very high spirited! Best part is enjoying how she loveeeees our authentic meals (so daring of her
im a sarawakian myself but havent got to try most of the activities shown in this video. especially borneo highlands😍 would love to visit that place soon
Umai is not only a dish from Sarawak, it's a Borneo dish. In Sabah we call it Hinava. Basically raw fish (certain types I can't remember), marinated with calamansi or keylime, which the citric acid from it somehow ''cooks'' the raw fish and then mix with minced ginger, shallots and some chilli (depends if want spicy or not). Serve as side dish :) Looking forward for you guys to visit Sabah and try our unique dishes.
7:36 the aroma flavor comes from pork lard, which is the main ingredient, coupled with fried onion to bring out the essence of kolo mee. Which is what most Kolo Mee in West Malaysia didn't get hence taste inferior from authentic Sarawak ones
Ryan and Siao Qian, wonderful Video. But the title of your video should have Sarawak in it, like Kuching, Sarawak,Malaysia or Kuching, Sarawak is perfect. Hope you can help to amend. Thank you. I am glad to see you both enjoying yourself so much.
Hi guys, I just continued watching this video today and it’s on green screen random flashing the whole way. Already started the apps. Even tested on my iPhone and iPad the same.
Your travel guide videos are a delightful blend of travel wisdom and wanderlust. Your passion for exploration is inspiring. Just a quick question - have you had a chance to explore the new v4 Bento Bag by NomadLane? It might align with your travel philosophy.
Midin is what we in Trengganu call Pucuk Paku. Paku is Ferns in Malay. Pucuk is the fresh stem and leaves. Sometimes Seng Siong do sell this at vegetable section.
3:28 No lah. Palm sugar is palm sugar. The difference between gula melaka and gula apong is that gula apong has a more caramel-y taste... slightly bitter. 5:07 Midin ferns grow wild everywhere even in the peninsula Malaysia. It's just that people outside of Sarawak (and Borneo) don't know how to eat them. 5:15 "Umai" is a traditional Melanau dish. It has a "cousin" in Sabah known as "hinava". Crevice, yes. Different ethnic but slightly different ingredients.
Can't believe you didn't try thai style midin. Also white kolomee is the only one to eat, the other types are sweet. Premier 101 is overrated, a lot of meh stalls.
Sibu I don’t know where to have fun but food wise I assure you sibu can fight 🥺 Do come over to the restaurant I work at, sure will cook you all something nice 🤍
