I’ve used Autologic for the longest and it’s been an amazing tool but I’ve always worked on nothing but Euro cars and one thing I’ve learned is that you still need ISTA for BMW, Xentry for Mercedes and Odis for Audi/VW. Well you don’t really need a factory scanner but it makes life easier
Tool Hut USA correct, but if one has manufacturer scanners one can simple use autel or snapon but if one doesn’t have manufacturer scanners then you simply need the Autologic, I’m only speaking from experience of working in European shops and all those shops had manufacturer scanners and Autologic, as far as the Asian and Domestic on Autologic I really can’t say
So any word on the NEW DrivePro ES??? I can’t even tell what tool is the new version anymore. They keep changing them and merging with different companies. I called Mopar about some programming problems I had with an older car. They had a tech call to help me and it was someone from AETools. I was confused. Lol ?????
I will not be getting the drive pro ES. I have decided to go 100% OE on the Euro as well as domestic and asian. AE Tools handles aftermarket tech support for chrysler
Started at a new shop that has both the blue box and new ES. The blue box is great stand alone scan tool, unlike the microsoft tablet Drive Pro ES. The 1st ES had battery issue, which they pinned down to a bad circuit board and sent out a new unit. The new unit had so many software issues, it took about two weeks to get it to function okay. Auto VIN I.D. is a hit or miss, when you scan a euro car, some code description are double meaning or "manufacture specific" Like they shove a generic scanner software inside, to cover more makes then just euro. if you scan with legacy in drive pro you get the right code description. When your graphing PIDS, it likes to auto scale. (co-worker was watching O2 sensors on a Hummer and was like bad cat, I took a look and notice the scaling wave was switching on post O2 between .2 volts but was full waves, so revved and held RPM and scaling zoomed out and those waves turned to a straight line). so becareful on pid graphing. Another thing it's easy to log out with logout button constantly in upper right hand corner, same area the "back" button pops up. I only use this scanner for quick scan reports(which this company wants on repairs) but mostly time use my own snap on sollus ultra for diag. graphing waves are more clear and not blocky like the drive pro(kind of like autels).
Interesting. I've thought about getting one as a main euro machine but I don't do that many of them so I'll probably stay with my take that rolling fish tank elsewhere policy. Lol

Hey Sam, great info. Do you have or have you used the iscan3? Any thoughts? They claim great euro coverage as well.
have you got the new update on your drive pro tool it. They are releasing new drive pro es what are your thoughts?
