I heard that apparently someone who talked with the band backstage found out that setting up this show was a nightmare for them, as they didn’t have any time to practice or rehearse. This would probably explain why Dimitri looks so burnt out here.
@@noneofyourbusiness1114 I personally enjoy Greg and Dmitri not on different levels vertically but just differently in general. I don't think one is better than the other. One is one of the fiercest vocalists I've ever heard that delivers some emotional performances. The other is a singer with amazing range as well as a solid scream. They both do different things and I enjoy them both equally but separately. also yea they won't be playing full time as far as we know but its just nice to have them back, especially playing this material, with Dmitri.

@@cwilliams666 - Well, he sounds like he hasn't played a show in 20 years too so no. If I had paid to see this, I'd be upset. I'm sure all the other dudes in the band were practicing a bunch before this, he should have been too? It doesn't seem like he was. It's also been much more than 20 years - Irony came out in '02 and Greg was already in the band at that point. Dimitri might have been on an extremely important album but as this shows, since the rest of the band is still crushing it, he wasn't actually really important to that album. 🙃

@@MachineLearningRecords I think the other way around, I mean yes Mike Patton was great with DEP, but I don't like him better than Greg. I'm sorry for people who think Mike is unsurpassable but Greg is better for me, he is as versatile as Mike Patton with all the influence of the latter (and the entire DEP's discography shows that) but even with a cooler sound when singing and screaming, what's more, he screams way raw that Mike does and in a thousand ways, and also his singing voice is powerful and versatile with more pleasant sound than Mike's, that the truth even if Mike fans don't accept it. There's only one thing Mike better than Greg, his vocal range, even though Greg's vocal range is super wide, Mike is the king in this point. When you see Better Lovers live it's clear that their energy, verve and enthusiasm is natural, whereas these jokers are clearly trying to make it look like they have as much enthusiasm as they did playing this 25 odd years ago. So contrived and embarrassing. Everyone looks half asleep whilst Ben triples up on the theatrics. "Look! We're still 'spazz jazz!"
There's zero energy and Ben's antics are so corny for a 49-year-old man. Dmitri is just lethargically walking around. He looks like he's about to keel over. This is garbage.

I doubt they’ll play full time.
Greg is still the better vocalist even if Dimitri is OG.

It sounds like they actually hired that Redskins Art Monk 43% parody singer.
People will probably get mad at me for saying this, but Greg was BY FAR the better vocalist. In a stage presence sense as well as skills wise.

They have plenty of groove, literally just listen to some of their most popular songs

ok but this video is not their whole discography, but a single song thats indeed unbearable. you guys got your egos fragile like a porcelain.
