What about the flyer speed thing? Personally I like being able to level up flyers speed like it used to be. When did they even integrate that into the settings anyways?
Personally I agree with the devs decision to take away flyer speed leveling as it promotes the use of land mounts and makes the game more interesting especially later when you have access to higher tier fliers. That being said, if you like it by all means enable it, it's all about user preference.

@@rizzlo Breed them, and imprint on them! You should have no problem surviving against harder enemies later in the game if you start a line and hit loot drops for better saddles. These settings accommodate breeding so it's much easier to achieve imprinted and mutated Dinos in a single player setting. Check out my series Alone on the Arks if you are still having doubts about it, I use the same settings here in that series.
It's not hard, just get a decent level male dino, find a decent leve female dino of the same type and go into their behavior menu and hit the "enable mating" button. They'll do their thing and you will have an egg or baby. Check it's stats to make sure it got all the good ones from both parents, if not discard and try for another until you get the stats you're after. Then raise the baby by caring for it for a while and you will get boosted "imprinted" stats. Hope this helps, I will for sure be doing a video in the future on breeding and imprinting so keep an eye out for that.
Flawed on my part, I'm already aware of the problem and I plan on making an updated video on how to fix the problem. If you are on pc you can add a line to the single player ini file that will allow you to get the full imprint. Imprintamountmultiplier I believe is the one.
Do you have alternative breeding and mating interval settings that's more tame, perhaps not 20 mins for a rex and 10 mins for everything else and 3 min breeding cooldowns? I'm thinking ~1 hour or less for rexes to fully mature but what would the cuddle interval be to get 100% imprint?
Try mating interval at .05, egg hatch at 600, baby mature speed at 110. You will have to play with the cuddle interval to get it as close as you can. Shouldn't be too hard to do if you make a single player world and use some commands to get the stuff together to test it. I'll do some testing myself and get back to you if you can't figure it out.
@@mykeechoes So I did some research and apparently the cuddle interval should be the reciprocal of maturation speed e.g 1/120 where the cuddle interval would be 0.0083... could you test it out? By decreasing cuddle interval does that also mean I would need to imprint it more times? If so, is there a way to make each imprint worth more?
The math gets wonky anything after a hundredth you can't input via settings, It will be a few days before I have time to run proper testing for it. There is a way to make each imprint worth more on PC via the Game.ini file by adding the line BabyImprintAmountMultiplier=2 though it's been a long time since I've had to do it that way and it's not exactly intuitive. I would run .008 and see what kind of results I got and adjust if need be.
I know it's not what you wanted but I use x8 mature speed with .4 cuddle interval. This allows 100% imprint on all dinos and things like a rex only take about 4 to 5 hours.
I tried your settings on xbox 320 for mature speed take 20 sec for tek rex to get mature but imprint takes 36 sec. Ill try around but i need help xD its too fast
Are your tek Rex's becoming full adults in 20 seconds? That's way too fast with my settings, they should take about 15 minutes to mature give or take a few minutes. Looking up to see if settings are different on xbox.
Yeah, the settings for maturation speed are the same on xbox and PC double check to see if you have the right setting at 320. I am using identical settings and my Rexs are taking around 18 minutes to reach full maturation.
you likely had "use singleplayer settings" still checked. By default, "use singleplayer settings" multiplies the egg hatch speed by 10, and multiplies baby mature speed by 37x. So his mature speed of 320 would be multiplied by 37 to be around 11800x mature speed, which is obviously much too high. I'm definitely too late on this but wanted to add this comment in in case anyone was having the same issue. Use Singleplayer Settings: Taming speed: 2.5x what you have it set as (example: if your taming speed was originally 2, it would now be 5 with this setting checked) XP multiplier: 2.0x what you have it set as Egg hatch multiplier: 10.0x what you have it set as Baby mature speed: 36.799x what you have it set as Hope this helps anyone!
Never actually touched the Switch version, definitely appreciate the info, will definitely look into it and make adjustments when I do an update video next year.
Naaahhh i know this is based on a personal preference, had beat the game several times and i still enjoy reseting everything with even a new character with zero XP... i enjoy so much to appear semi naked on the beach scratching my forearm every time trying to make it harder to beat, right now i'm playng the game without touching any slider, only the difficulty at 1 and that's it... it's hard... not really... once you beat the game up to the alpha bosses then you understand the mechanics of the game pretty well, i invite you to play it as it is, only increassing the difficulty to 1, i'm really enjoying it =)
My settings aren't really designed to make it easier, only to save time. It takes the near 1000 hour playthrough up to alpha overseer on the island and makes it doable in about 200 hours.
I have the xp at that setting, as it is default to that, and it is way too fast. I literally got to lvl 40 in a few hours. I don't want that. Taming speed at 4.0 is WAY TOO FAST. I have it as the default speed and it is way too fast as it is. Not spending that time taming a dinosaur is so boring and unrewarding. And an hour isn't even that long at all. The preparation and fun of taming a dinosaur is lost with changing that. And the work you put in makes it fun and rewarding to even get the dinosaur once you get it.
@@Cub__ wtf are you saying? And dude I literally took that picture in 2020. Why do you assume I still wear a mask just because of my profile picture, oh and covid still is a thing. So idk what your point is. And nobody is tripping.
Definitely are, I set it up this way to accommodate people with very little time so they can get mutations to fight the bosses without spending an ungodly amount of time. A little bit milder setting might be 240 egg hatch speed, 120 on the baby maturation speed, and 0.12 on the baby cuddle interval multiplier. You could also leave them at default settings and they will be just as slow as official.
Not sure, I would have to do some testing. I have been swamped with my IRL job and haven't been able to game hardly at all recently. I will hop on this weekend and see if I can't figure it out for you. Just a quick shot in the dark I would try taking the cuddle interval to like .05 and maybe bump the cuddle grace multiplier up to like 10 just to ensure you get the full imprint.
Yeah, It's really about finding what suits you and your experience. Personally my mutation stacks were taking ages (took me 2 months of playing after work to get one full stack) so I bumped the settings to what I use now.
My best advice is to run a Dino wipe, if they are spawning in intervals of 5 the settings are correct, max level you can find will be 150. Nothing wrong with the settings, just keep searching or Dino wipe.
i was playing on diffrent settings before this and my ptreanadon could kill alphas and rexes witout any problems and it wasn't fun playing but with these ill test rn
Honestly it's about player preference. Weight settings on single player without S+ are really aggravating so the weight I would probably change myself if I didn't have S+. As far as flyer speed leveling I tend not to increase it because it makes traveling on land mounts obsolete and I really like the immersion I get when riding a land mount.
Followup: Did some breeding and these settings helped a lot, however I tweaked Baby mature speed to 260 and baby cuddle interval to 0.05 to get 50% imprint every 5 min with a large enough window to imprint at ease.
I want the settings to be how the game is meant to be played. I haven't edited the taming speed or my leveling, and them are way too fast for me on singleplayer. I want to have the setting how the game is originally. But some things are harder to do on singleplayer or downright impossible...like taming a raptor. I have to build an actual platform up high to shoot from above to stand on a cliff....I've had to resort to using the fly command, but I don't want to do that. I want to play it how it should be, but if there are literally things I need to have edited to actually be able to play and enjoy the game I want them only edited, but idk what them would be. Dino damage maybe? I used to have it turned off, but I don't even like doing that either. Edit: I found out I can use bolas on other dinosaurs and not just pteranodons...smh. Also they seem to have fixed the raptors constantly pouncing on you, which made an interaction with a raptor impossible to get away from or to tame them. I haven't had a single raptor pounce on me at all. They uses to do it way too much.
Thanks mate :) very helpful you’re very knowledgable!

Not spending that time taming a dinosaur is so boring and unrewarding. And an hour isn't even that long at all. The preparation and fun of taming a dinosaur is lost with changing that. And the work you put in makes it fun and rewarding to even get the dinosaur once you get it.
Ur tripping cuh + you can take ur mask off now dw
@@Cub__ wtf are you saying? And dude I literally took that picture in 2020. Why do you assume I still wear a mask just because of my profile picture, oh and covid still is a thing. So idk what your point is. And nobody is tripping.
Ok karen chill
Breeding settling seems superboosted, are they? the numbers seem High...
I tested this but spawns are just too low lvl
almost all dinos are between lvl 5 or 15
My best advice is to run a Dino wipe, if they are spawning in intervals of 5 the settings are correct, max level you can find will be 150. Nothing wrong with the settings, just keep searching or Dino wipe.
I'd even lower the XP to 0.5
i was playing on diffrent settings before this and my ptreanadon could kill alphas and rexes witout any problems and it wasn't fun playing but with these ill test rn
Dino damage and resistant settings with these settings are the same as official. Should have a better time.
Would you consider messing with the player weight settings, or would that be cheating in your eyes ;D?
Ps how about flyer speed levelling? :P
I kinda disagree with PvP Gamma as creatures have no problem spotting you in the dark, while you're pretty much blind.
