    I really can’t decide between Circle/Aura and Bark. I want the monitoring expertise of Bark to detect bullying, self harm, sexual content, etc, but the ability to view detailed browser history with Circle. Is it possible to run both of these on my daughter’s iPhone? - Sincerely, an overprotective mother

      Honestly as a teen myself adding more protective stuff on our phone depresses us a lot it’s our main way of communication another thing is it makes us insecure and how you think that we’re a whore that’s my honest opinion i hate when my parents control my phone and stuff it makes me really upset because i really don’t do anything wrong

    My teen girls set up their phones and have locked me out of them before I can set anything up…i guess this leaves me with no options? I would like to set something up at the router level. Is this possible?

      Yikes! But relatable, ha.
      This is really a different product category, I have heard good things about Synology.

      Stop paying their phone bills and then negotiate the terms with them. If they want a free phone, the software goes on it.

    Does Aura monitor Apple's iMessage?

    • @homesecurityheroes
      @homesecurityheroes  10 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn't, it only monitors the use of messaging apps (time spent on them).
      For message monitoring, Bark is better but even they will only flag messages deemed inappropriate.
      If you want to see all messages, Qustodio is probably the best option, or you could try a more invasive app like mSpy.

    Bark only monitors iOS ---IFFFF--- they're on the same WiFi. Meaning if your child ever leaves the house it won't review their messages until they're home and on the WiFi! Total crap!
    I'd love to know if there's a work around for this.

      Unfortunately I don't think there is. iOS doesn't make parental control apps easy to use, but I'm not sure if say Qustodio has the same issue, which I agree is a big one.

    What about Our Pact ?

      We just tested this! It's ok but it has one big drawback that one of our testers highlights below:
      "Too much reliance on the child’s participation in my opinion. If they don’t manually start and stop the app on their device, it doesn’t work (i.e. , the screen time just runs out and all sites and apps are blocked by default)"

    If u have iOS there’s no need to install third party apps. U can control devices content through settings

    This is so messed up. It is a complete invasion of privacy for any kids over the age of 4. Good God the fact that this exists is sickening.
