Hi Loved the video - it brought back so many wonderful memories. I stayed at the Baobab Hotel a number of times in 1986 - 1987 whilst working on the construction of the Hwange power plant. I absolutely loved it. The hotel was great - comfortable with great food! (The telephone system was an issue in those days - I often had to book a slot to make call back to the UK!). I especially remember sitting under the famous baobab tree with a beer on an evening watching the sun go down and watching the amazing steam trains hauling coal wagons. Lovely people, unbelievable country. Must return one day.
Thanks for sharing the panoramic views of the coal mining town & Baobab Hotel ! I’ve fond memories of visiting the coal mining town from yonks ago & we’d frequent the Baobab Hotel too…❤️!
