Margaret M. I’m from Nain and this the best song ever! Sing word for word by heart ❤
The music and singing was beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
OMG can't believe it about the Haynes Store back home in Nain Labrador. I always went there for 1 cent candies and the long gum balls as a kid. So going to be missed.
Did not understand a word . But boy did ever enjoy the whole thing .

That was a really good video buddy and thank you very much for sharing and letting others see our beautiful country....I love the white jackets everyone has and I've seen you with one as well in other videos....thanks again for sharing and be safe and happy trapping buddy
That's my Aunt singing.
Good oh song
Very nice WL, love the old stuff from up that way. 2 much lost to the ravages of modernization eh by? The stories were something else back then. Is there a museum down there where you live. I was down to the opening of the museum in Red Bay years ago and was back again few years later. Things are changing and not too sure if it's 4 the better 1. Thinking about a trip to Henleys Hr this July if all goes well...cheers
Times sure are changing, the more it changes the more I want to live the old ways :) There is the Labrador Interpretation center in North West River, they have some nice stuff there. A store in Goose the Northern Lights has some military artifacts & history in the basement of the store... Trip to Henley Hr would be nice, going to make a trip there in the next year or two as well.. Cheers my friend, take care...
My husband and I enjoy watching your videos. We have already watched quite a few. We just have one question - why don't you have a dog? Most trappers/hunters have a dog :)
Thank you, I had pet dogs growing up, a golden Lab (Gonzo) a black Lab (Duke) & a Siberian husky (Fox) & I plan on getting another in a few years.. I spend a lot of time out to sea during the summer, just wanna be around more when we get one...The wife travels for work often so when she has to travel when i'm gone it can get very in convenient....BTW I think it'll be another Golden Lab when we do...
Totally understand! A Golden Lab is a wonderful choice. Keep the videos coming!
Love your historical videos. The dog was an important part of life until it wasn't. What a loss of good genes in working animals. I'd have liked to be able to read the labels of the boxes in the general store. Shells? Tobacco? Thanks for the video.
There were more dogs than people one time, they were vital to survival here... My brother had a team for years, doesn't now though. There are quiet a few dog races through Labrador during the winter, keeping the traditions going...
Beautiful historical photos. Is the woman who made your anorak feeling better now? Cheers! Whipple
Thank you...Sorry to say she has cancer, shes not making any crafts at the moment....
William Larkham Jr William: Thank you for your reply. I am very saddened to hear that she isn't well. I hope the good Lord is kind to her. Cheers, my friend. Whipple
Hey William, at 2:54 is that a dead fall trap on the table??
