Awesome crafts made by Donald . So sorry to hear of Sam's passing Williams , remember the harpoon that you got for me from Mr. Sam , take care , God Bless
You welcome Kirk, and yes indeed. I like to know how many he made through the years, I imagine there were quiet a few seals harvest from the harpoons he made...
I am a bit of a collector of traditional Inuit artifacts. I wasn't aware that marble was used as a medium. I will get in touch with Donald & get a piece off him to add to my collection. The beluga really caught my eye. Thanks for sharing & happy sealing. I just got my personal sealing license & look forward to harvesting a few seals.
I got a couple marble pieces from different artists, I think I am going to pick up a marble piece from Donald as well. Actually going to get Donald to do a special wood piece for me later, I will show it in a video once complete. Best of luck on the seal hunt, looking forward to a hunt myself soon as well...
That Donald does amazing work what an artist thank you very much for sharing this it's neat to see what keeps folks but ay during the winter time big storm headed your way be safe best wishes from penobscot valley Maine
Wow, you know there are so many talented people in The Big Land. Pretty amazing all the great things he's created. This video reminded me too that I still have a nice bottle of seal Joy sent down to me that I have to get eaten up really soon. Thanks for sharing.
Really interesting stuff. Some people are gifted artists. Do you think the last harpoon you bought will pierce the skin as easily as the stainless steel one? Thanks for the video.
Thank you, that's a really good question, I will have to get back to you on the one. I know the stainless steel one works great from use, I never really checked the edge on the new one, this one is intended as a wall hanger but I am sure it do work good though..
Great video. That guy is very talent who makes all of the crafts and harpoon.
What a craftsman excellent stuff for sure

Cool as this video is, that log birdhouse got me 😂
Yes I agree the log house is pretty cool indeed...
I wonder is Donald any relation to the Donald Blake mentioned in the book “The Lure of the Labrador Wild”?
Never taught about that I will certainly ask him when I talk to him again..

Here is his e amil address.... dfblake@nf.sympatico.ca
How much for the fly tying kit?
Not sure if he said the kit was for sale or not but he could make a wooded box for a kit, make a box to fit most anything I imagine.
